    Bad guys
These guys are alt right clowns.
  • Stevie-os
    Two idiots.
I was excited to find a podcast about cruising but man, they have some really stupid, uninformed opinions about vaccines and covid. They claim to know what theyre talking about because they have “done their own research.” How about you leave all that to the experts and stop with your opinions. Lame. Never listening.

    Let’s Cruise!
Tommy and Scott are always happy to give us cruising news. It’s almost as if they love cruising, LOL. Scott always makes me yell at him out loud while I’m listening! But seriously, I love all the info they give out, the guests they have and most of all, their enthusiasm.

Like it but Needs Some Improvement
I do enjoy the podcast but there are two things that drive me crazy. Number one is Tommy always sounds like he needs to clear his throat. It is very distracting. Number two, more importantly, is that they need to STOP talking over each other. It is so annoying. It makes the whole podcast seem frantic!

    Great show!
Always entertaining and informative! These guys are funny but also have a passion and enthusiasm for cruising that you won’t hear anywhere else. If you are looking for a unique perspective on the industry, this is it!

    Stuttering and interrupting
Lots of ums and the one guy is constantly interrupting the other guy, which is probably why all the ums as he loses his train of thought.

    Not Informative
I’m 32:10 into the suite life episode and there has been about two actually pieces of information. There is a lot that could be covered but somehow they are not talking about suite perks or anything relating to suites. They are just talking about random stuff and some of it isn’t even correct. You do not have to buy a coffee package if you have the drink package and you do not get a free drink package with a suite.

    Where's the info?
I came to listen to their Disney travel challenge. First, it took almost an hour to get to the challenge part of the show. Second, the person they had on spent her whole time advertising her services as a travel agent. Third, they never even gave the specifics of how they managed to meet the travel challenge! Dates? Resorts? Etc. Also, their "expert" guest knew little about Disney cruising which made the whole thing even more frustrating.

    Entertaining
Good detailed information. Occasionally enjoyable narrative but could use a better vernacular. Scott might consider brushing off some of the fairy dust he’s covered in. His constant overexcited demeanor is often too much. He talks like he lives in a fantasy world like he’s never worked a day in his life and just cruises. The show is entertaining though overall.

like listening to a remedial 3rd grader's book report
AWFUL!! They can't read their own notes, pronounce ANYthing, slur their words, just useless. I found ONE podcast about a city I was going to and couldn't even listen to all of it. SO BAD!!!

Why is the intro so long?
Just started listening and I kind of agree with the other comments. Too much chit chat and I am here for cruise talk. Not to mention the intro was literally like 3 minutes long. What’s the point? I lost my focus instantly trying to skip forward. Seems to me that they haven’t really listened to other reviewers with how many episodes they have. I’ll keep listening to give them a chance so that’s it for now.
  • AmyPinTX
Good content... once they finally get to it.
I wish they would include time stamps so that I could skip to the actual content. There’s so much extra chit chat in addition to at least a 2 minute intro.
  • myboyparker
Some good info amongst the unprofessional delivery
I wish the duo would talk more about cruising instead of talking over each other or going off on tangents when distracted by shiny objects.

    To Much Local Talk
The focus is to much on their local area. They generally spend half the podcast just cheering announcements about new ships in their area rather then talking about cruising as a whole.

    Over the top
Wanted to like this pod, but just don’t. So much corniness. Right down to the 90s video game style music.

    Love the information
I've not taken a cruise yet, but this show shares great information and has informative interviews. I especially liked the informations out the different ports. Thanks for taking the time to share.

    Given Up
I have tried, so hard to give these guys a shot. It's simply clear to me that they are not good at hosting a podcast. Whether or not they do an ounce of preparation prior to recording remains a mystery. 60+ minutes of content boils down to 3 topics which they stumble through, making largely unintelligible statements and joke attempts that fall flat. They can't even make it through a reading of their own news stories without constant mistakes, stopping, repeating and interrupting each other. It is truly painful to listen to at times. Their latest venture (and the reason I won't listen anymore)? A new magazine, made by cruisers, for cruisers. They devote 25 minutes to this endeavor, in the form of an unintelligible infomercial, at the top of their last show. All to tell you: it's $11.99 for 6 magazines. AND (here's the part I love), YOU get to produce the content. That's right, submit YOUR articles and photos, and these guys will only charge you $11.99 to read it! AKA - we charge you for your ideas. AKA - for cruisers, by you, and we keep the profits. AKA - thanks for helping us line our pockets. I so want this to be a better show. Specifically, I so want this podcast to have hosts who are better at hosting a podcast. Given some direction/leadership, and an ounce of show hosting ability, this podcast has promise. As it stands right now, it has none of that.

    Not bad
Could tighten things up as they seem to ramble a bit. Also, vocal fry. The content is not bad and geared toward west coast crusing.

A fun podcast if you want to learn about cruising
Scott and Tommy give insightful views on cruising and will keep you laughing with some of the back and forth banter between brother in laws.
  • CruiseTipsTV
    Entertaining, funny, informative
The cruise dudes weekly podcast is super engaging and fun to listen to. If you're a cruise or travel enthusiast, you'll quickly become hooked on Tommy and Scott's fun banter. I enjoy the podcast on my commute and in the car with my family, & the Dudes keep me informed with the latest cruise news. They offer their spin on what's happening in the cruise industry, but what I enjoy most is their trip and port reviews from their personal cruise adventures. Keep up the good work guys!
  • IPwolf
    Fun and informative
They are able to give you news and information on the cruise ships and what's new, while keeping it fun and interesting. Reminds me of sitting with my family and talking about stuff I actually like to talk about.

    OK
I’ve listened to the first twenty episodes thus far. It’s an OK podcast; it probably runs 15 minutes too long due to co-host Scott going off the rails and wandering far off topic or being very, very repetitive. Keep the 15 second skip button handy if you are like me and find that very annoying.

Perfect Combination of Facts & Fun
Tommy and Scott are two of the most lovable Podcasters that you will ever listen to. If you want to learn about all aspects of cruising, this podcast is for you. If you want to have some fun and laugh out loud while you are learning about cruising, you have found your home. I had to add my own review after listening to “Pam’s Mediterranean Cruise on the Emerald Princess.” These episodes introduced Pam (Scott’s wife and Tommy’s sister) who describes not only a fantastic week in Europe, but a wonderful seven night cruise. The details of her adventures on both land and sea were amazing. I really appreciated that she told us the price of so many things. Having an idea of the costs can help others from paying much more than necessary for the same thing. She presented so many tips, I know that I will be listening to these episodes again. Thank you all for producing such an informative and fun podcast every two weeks. You have a fan for life.

Would love to go on my first cruise
My husband isn’t a big cruise ship guy but I’m hoping to eventually convince him to come with me. Love the energy of Tommy and Scott and am learning a lot about cruising from their show.

    Great Info and Guests
I tune in when I can and have been pleased on what I’ve heard so far. Tommy and Scott are funny, comical and informative. Great job guys.

    Great for the new Cruiser
I’ve thought about taking a cruise, but never really knew how to get started, what the pros and cons are, etc. This podcast is great for the new as well as experienced cruiser in planning their trips.
  • Tron0603
    Informal, educational and enjoyable
This is a very good show for people who are new to cruising. We are planning another cruise, and the information these guys provided, in an entertaining way, has already saved me a lot of time doing research. And in response to thei earlier bad review, for the cruise dudes to say (in so many words) that it's better to have your passport and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it, is not "misinformation". Not in my book, anyway. I had a good time listening to this. I am feeling much more prepared for my next cruise than I was for the one before it. I'm new to all of this, and I am very glad there is a podcast that addresses this stuff. Thank you very much, guys.

    Enjoyable Podcast
I enjoy the cruise dudes. It’s filled with good info and fun tips to make your cruise an enjoyable one. I'm looking forward to my next cruise and this show helps fill the void while I wait. Keep it up guys!

Showed potential but overall very lacking
The positive: *They have good ideas for segments and discussion topics. The negatives: *Very unprofessional and low production quality (barking dogs, phones ringing, Tommy uses way too many filler words:ums, ahs, uhs, etc.) *They are not well informed and pass their misinformation along to others. For example in episode 2, while a passport is always a good idea, it is NOT required on a closed loop cruise leaving from the US and going to the Caribbean. Another example from episode 3, they said that someone who gets seasick should not get a cabin on a lower deck. This is the opposite of the truth. The truth is someone who is prone to seasickness SHOULD get a mid cabin on a LOW deck. This is the most stable part of the ship and the least likely to lead to seasickness. Overall, the lack of quality and the misinformation overwhelms their great segment ideas. This podcast would be especially detrimental to someone who is not already a cruise veteran, and therefor did not know when they are stating things that are incorrect.

    Educational and Entertaining
I have listened to every episode and can't wait to book my next cruise. These guys are down-to-earth, funny, and know a lot about the cruise industry. They''re not trying to sell anything or shamelessly promoting one cruise line over another. Just honest converstaion and great story-telling. Cruise on!
