    Less Brit Please!
It is so obvious the Brit reads off of a script- completely useless feedback and asks the worst questions. Ashley pleaseeee less Brit on the podcast

    Way too woke
Used to listen to them all the time, but became way too woke and brought their political views into the show making it unlistenable

    Long Time Listener Disgusted
I have listened to EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Crime Junkie, I loved it, but the most recent episode from 5/6/25 promoting Ashley’s book as a real case is absolutely disgusting to me. Please take this episode down - it’s so disrespectful and in bad taste. I can’t believe anyone thought this was a good idea.

I love crime junkie everything about murder interests me but can you do more about serial killers but with amber haggerman wouldn't the guy had to be strong and fast to pick up a nine year old girl and also to get to the creek they would have been well known to be there

    CJ
Lol. Almost all the poor reviews are from conservatives that feel attacked when faced with the truth. They would rather live in their land of delusional where everything is perfect and systems of power should never be questioned.

    Love you both, but…
Long time listener here and I love you both dearly - Brit please stop interrupting/talking over/finishing someone else’s sentences. It’s something that’s bothered me for a while but it’s so bad on Fallon Farinacci’s episode.

    Keeps getting worse
I use to listen to this show a ton years ago and was part of their patreon for a bit but they got too political so I took a break. I attempted to listen to their show again recently and it was so painful! They are trying way too hard!! So many other podcasts out there that are WAY better I avoid all audiochuck productions now

Recent episodes don’t have the same appeal
UPDATE // Framing a plug for her book as an episode was tacky, tacky, tacky. I listen less and less. I’ve really enjoyed CJ since I started listening a few years go, and I’ve worked my way through the whole back catalog. I look forward to the new episode every Monday, but have to say that for the last few months, I’ve found the episodes so boring that I’ve been skipping them after listening to around 20m. I’m just one listener, and this is just my two cents, but figured I’d put it out there in case it makes a difference.

    Weird
I have always loved this podcast but on the episode this week they did 5 min precursor to a book to buy? I thought you did this podcast for the good of the cases not to make money from people’s deaths. Stop trying to play the hero card that your helping families

    Crime Junkie since 2018
My sister first showed me crime junkie on a road trip home from dropping off my grandparents in 2018. I've been hooked ever since. Thank you for bringing light to so many peoples stories and always helping where ever you can. It's always season of justice.

    Love the show!
I’m a big fan of the show and a fellow Hoosier! I love that you use your platform to speak on cases that don’t always get the attention they deserve. Also true crime is political so keep speaking on your political views!! If I had one critique, it would be that I wish you had a version of the podcast without the background music, it can be too calming for me, and sometimes I will tune out and lose track of the story. I would love a music free version to listen to!! Keep up the great podcasting!!

    Great job Britt!
The episode Britt hosted with survivor Fallon was so well done!

    LOVE♥️
You guys are my daily listen! And have made me so alert on my surroundings. Thank you for all the hard work you put in and telling each persons story!

Misleading podcast trying to sell poorly written fictional novels
A podcast supposedly "bringing light to injustice" pretends to tell a story about a crime that's actually the host's fictional novel. It's a true crime podcast. If listeners wanted fiction, they'd listen to the thousands of fiction podcasts available.

    Long time road trip listener
It seems that numerous others resonate with the distaste of diatribe of political interjections. I’ll also add the amount of profanity has become hard to listen. Switched over to Three.

    Political
We get it you hate most cops and conservatives
  • fafjrock
    Could be less “Pro WOKE”
Why do we always have to bring politics into the entertainment business. Your show isn’t successful because people like your politics and point of view. I really enjoy true crime stories but it’s tough to hear it being told by woke liberals who gave up on God because they would prefer to believe that being gay, trans, and sinful is OK. They are wrong. But I still enjoy the 15% of the content that doesn’t include their woke ideologies and opinions.

    Binge worthy podcast
You guys are so awesome. The banter between you guys is just like me with my friends.

    Love the show
I absolutely love Listening to this show as I lay down to go to sleep. I just can understand why I hear so much “I don’t know” or “ I have no further info”. I thought that this show would have a final outcome on the episodes. I think that you all need to investigate further to give us all an answer or an outcome. I have a great story that I want to share for you to your show but I just don’t think that you will give my case true justice
  • A good cops wife
    meh
I love this podcast and have listened to it for many years. My only issue with is that you either appreciate law enforcement or you drag it through the mud. There are bad doctors, bad teachers, bad service industry employees, etc, etc. I realize case by case the investigations have not been as thorough as you see fit, but when that’s the case you make them all look bad. Regardless, their information gives you a huge piece of what you’re trying to accomplish (JUSTICE), and sometimes you use law enforcement being cooperative to you and turn in into a narrative to make them look terrible. Again, there’s good cops, bad cops, lazy cops, and podcasters who were loved that’s lost the perspective of what they started out to do.

    Perfect for a Roadtrip
I stumbled upon this podcast when wanting to listen to some true crime and was instantly hooked. I listen to this anytime I’m driving more than 1 hour (and I roadtrip a lot) and even got my parents hooked on it! For those who complain about ads, it’s super easy to just skip past them. 10/10 a great listen

    LOVE Crime Junkie
I have been listening to CJ for years and it’s my favorite podcast ever. I love how Ashley and Brit tell each persons story.
  • Sfd129
    Forgot why they started
I think they have gotten far off course of what they started for. The goal was respectful sharing of survivors and victims in the effort of healing for the family and victim/survivor. These old cases from the 1800s and early early 1900s that seem more like speculation and ghost stories are for pure entertainment and seem to have lost pace with the intention of the show. Some more recent crime would actually serve the original mission and have an impact on the current world.
  • Birdie2640
    Hard to listen to
If you don’t want comments on politics, then don’t bring it up! Stick to true crime and not your opinions. Also, your back and forth commentary sounds so staged. Try to make it sound a little more natural.
  • UnUsagi
    Ads
Yall this show is legit just ads every 10-15 minutes at this point im done listening to this show since im hearing more ads then actual content 🤷‍♀️ baffling to me that you can give so many ads an still think you’re not a sell out 🤷‍♀️😂

    Best True Crime Podcast Ever
I have been listening to you guys forever and can never get enough of all the new stories you guys come up with!!
  • the sophster
    Could be better
I find it very annoying that you guys try to ride the centrist line too hard. Some episodes you guys are obsessed with cops some you guys are talking about the injustice in our country. Most cases I get so annoyed that absolutely nothing of substance was said, you guys are just taking pieces of other people’s work and calling it your own. Ashley takes all the credit lol, as if she doesn’t have a whole production team behind her.
  • mariavaldz
    Love it!
I love this podcast! I just started listening to it a few weeks ago and now I listen to it everyday! I read some say they unfollowed because of your political views so i followed you! Keep up the good work!
  • Jmurray00174
    Keep the political opinions out.
Stick to crime. We don’t want to hear about your political views.
  • KaitlynAF
    Garbage
These two are nauseating. They actually believe they are smarter than every murder detective on every case they cover. Brit has the most annoying and useless commentary and she just sounds stupid. They also are very obvious extreme left wing with all their biased and nasty comments about anyone conservative. Most of these comments only show their ignorance about people with different beliefs than them. I don’t trust them at all to cover these cases accurately or fairly. Two dumb dumbs.

    Love this show
My sister got me hooked on this sho. She has listened to it from the start. Since starting i can’t stop listening to episodes❤️.

    New Fan!!
Ladies, I absolutely LOVE your podcast!! My youngest daughter’s friend recommended I listen to you ladies. From my first listen I was hooked and I am enjoying getting caught up so that I can have something to look forward to each week. I appreciate your candor, thoughts and insights.

Why is Brit’s head cocked sideways in her picture? Strange‼️
I agree with the commentators who say Brit is annoying, I couldn’t ever put my finger on what I found off about this podcast, which for the most part I like, but after I read the comments about her, it came to me that she, Brit, is what takes my 5 star rating down a notch also. And the overuse of the (valley-girl-speak?) LIKE is very annoying. Grow up Brit, and make your voice sound like the adult you obviously are. And Indianapolis, Indiana isn’t even close to like-uh the Valley. I know because I’m in Indiana too, central Indiana.

    My favorite podcast here’s why:
I love this podcast so very much because I like to use the stories as ideas for my stories and it just makes it even better that women are doing this because most podcasts have those deep manly voices instead of Ashley and Brits beautiful voices!
  • TRU3cR!M34h0L!k
    Love
I love what yall and I ❤️ your podcast and the crime you discuss
  • Jaxkmays
    What a burden
It must be hard being smarter than every cop to ever exist, glad I don’t have to carry that burden like these 2 do
  • PENTOBEANSS
    AWESOME
I love listening to this, but it honestly depends on what you like if you like people doing research then you will like this.
  • plavochin
    More politicized
Crime Junkie used to be much better. Now it consistently takes digs at religious or conservative ideas without taking an ounce of reflection that their victims are of likely the same mindset. I do appreciate more crime podcasts cover stories that mainstream news stations do not cover. But between their inability to have some humility and their obvious overdone dramatics, they are a dime a dozen.

    Mixed Feelings
I, like many true crime people, started my journey with Serial. I came across this podcast one day about 2 1/2 years ago, and I was instantly hooked. I since have joined the fan club two years in a row at the lowest level (which is still $60), and I now regret that I did so. I have listened to every episode, including all of the fan club ones that are available at my tier. The earlier episodes used to be compelling and easy to follow- they really felt victim centered. I feel like now, it’s much more about their brand than the reason they actually started. Now that I have listened to other podcasts, some which tell some of the same stories, I have realized that Crime Junkie either over-simplify cases or tells them in a convoluted way that make them hard to follow. Although all episodes aren’t like this, I’ve realized that many of the recent ones follow this trend. Many reviews state that they are too political… this is NOT true. Sometimes they bring up facts, like people in the minority often don’t get the same treatment as their White, middle+ class counterparts… this isn’t political, this is just the truth. I will still support this podcast until I can’t, but no longer will I support financially unless something changes. I even got VIP tickets coming up to their live show, so I really hope that’s worth it. Also, for the first year that I was in the fan club, I listened to basically all of the bonus content for my level. Now in my second year, I have no more bonus content to listen to, so the only real “perk” is the episode on Fridays instead of Mondays and monthly bonus content (which hasn’t even seemed to come consistently). Not worth $60. I can say, however, that this podcast has taught me so many life lessons. I wouldn’t say that I live my life in fear, but I definitely have been more vigilant and take preventative measures to protect myself. I really hope that they can get this show back on its original track. It really hasn’t changed for the better.

    Absolutely amazing
I love this podcast. It's absolutely amazing. You guys are truly amazing people. Also I don't understand the hate for Brit. She's amazing and it wouldn't be the same without her.

    What’s up
I find her co pilot annoying. Her affectation reminds me of a high schooler. The constant use of Like is exasperating! And the fake shock response is a bit much. Ashley is better off solo.
  • Idk56479
    Decent podcast
I do understand some of the things other people say about the show, but I like it. One thing I will say is that both of them rarely give a stance from police. It is often just the things said about cops, but I have never heard them defend a cop.
