So appreciate the additional insights. The host has a VERY strange and upbeat vocal delivery. Given the disturbing nature of the content it DOES NOT MATCH. The host is very distracting and tone deaf, what a weird way to present this story! But very good to have additional context and insights from the director.

I love the show but can only listen briefly because the background music is so overpowering and annoying.

Are all the five star reviews fake or are they all as insane as the host? This guy is way too jolly and talking about how this is his favorite documentary and talks about the twists and turns with glee as if it’s fiction. Chill out my guy. These are real people and a child was sexually assaulted. Why are you so enthusiastic when talking about all the trauma they went through???

I just happened to see this podcast in a list of suggestions and I was happy to find it. I watched the documentary when it first came out but had so many questions. I’m so glad to have more of the background and was also very interested in how the director and editor made the decisions about what to keep and what to cut. If you were fascinated by the documentary, you’ll love this in depth conversation complete with an excellent summary at the beginning to remind listeners about the story and a lot of new material that hadn’t been used. Great job!

This podcast is definitely a must listen. It tells the back story of a difficult film, but a must for everyone. It tells us how anyone can be manipulated by a predictor, even loving and educated individuals like this family. The courage it must have taken this family to not only overcome such a horrible situation but to be able to come out of the shadows and share it. I am in awe of their bravery!

I had watch this documentary like many others and was left with so many questions. As a true crime fan it left me wanting more. I was so happy when I heard about this podcast. It didn’t answer all my questions but it did give me some closure.

I definitely couldn’t wait to listen and it left me wanting more. It was great insight into the documentary. Which to this day is still my number # 1 recommendation to everyone when they say idk what to watch.

I live in Idaho + had no idea this story existed until I saw the documentary. The documentary is unbelievable + heartbreaking. This podcast deep dives + gives insight to more this story that the documentary could. It’s shocking, heartbreaking, + enthralling. A must listen for all true crime fans.

This case is so crazy it deserved it’s own stand alone podcast covering it.

I binge shows and podcasts because I hate waiting for the next episodes. God forbid, I don’t find out till the end of a show that it’s a two-parter! Nothing makes me so mad.
