lana drayKeep politics OUT!Love his wisdom, but socialism and oppressiveness is NOT acceptable nor wanted. It has no place in a mindfulness and awareness practice. Or life for that matter. EVER.

MelodiousMelisJosh Korda is one of the good onesSpiritual teacher and counselor who is trustworthy, kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate how intelligently he teaches at the intersection of spirituality and psychology and provides practical meditations for staying grounded in the real world.

Donna GayI turn to you for enlightenment and growth. You gently and accessibly introduce both the latest neuropsychology (no pressure on you to stay informed!) and age-old Buddhist wisdom. I am a contemplative elder Catholic with complex PTSD (newly recognized) and benefit from your free-range selection of topics. It doesn’t bother me when you put our personal problems in a wider social context. Our society with its social/political history shapes our psyches in many ways of which we are unaware; it is the ocean we swim in. Keep it up, please. Yours is a very needed voice.

RaycrizzleLove his teachings BUT why is he pushing for communism?I get so much out of every episode. But I am disappointed when he gets political and pushes for communism/socialism….an incredibly oppressive form of government that crushes everyone except the elite powerful ones who run it.

Jake51208My New Favorite, but…Really enjoying this podcast, and in fact it is my new favorite buddhism podcast. But please for the love of god, keep the politics out of it. No matter where you fall politically, it seems impossible to escape. Thank you!!!!

Rosie R.The best therapy I’ve ever receivedJosh Korda gets it. He is the real deal. Just by listening to his podcasts, I felt like he understood my struggles like no other therapist or healer has. I’m listening regularly to Dharma Punx NYC for several years, I can say that it is the single most transformative type of self-help I’ve ever experienced — and I’ve tried it all! He is particularly helpful with issues like rumination, perseveration, and overthinking/obsessive thinking. He’s also helped me be able to befriend my loneliness, identify when I am dating an avoidant guy, and move myself from anxious attachment to standing secure in my Self. Thank you, Josh. And thank you as well to his wife, Kathy Cherry, who offers amazing somatic healing and daily meditation groups.

jflobotLots to DigestThanks for your valuable time. You have a way of getting right to the point but in a compassionate manner. Took me a while to digest and sit with but I am understanding myself better. If and when I have the money to contribute I will. Well worth it. Mahalo. 🙏

trevor_yTransformative and GroundedThis podcast is the best resource I’ve encountered in outlining truly applied Buddhism and how grounded Buddhist practice intersects with modern psychological insights into living a balanced, authentic, and rewarding life. I’ve often found Zen and other Buddhist philosophies difficult to translate in daily living, but Josh Corda paints such a clear picture of what applied Buddhism looks like. He also strikes me as humble, kind, and like he owns his humanity - something that is not found in all spiritual teachers Im extremely grateful to have found this podcast, it has been a guiding light for me during a difficult time.

DaverMushroomGreat modality for recoveryI’m really glad I found this. Very practical and secular way for exploring Buddhism. I found this much more effective than the 12 Steps as a path of recovery.
-
Mr. CoffinTerrific CombinationJosh Korda provides Buddhist teachings alongside modern day psychology - a powerful combination.
-
whipitoutnowboyDharma and psychology blendEnjoyable mixture of the dharma and psychology in a how to approach to living in this world and with our reactive conceptual mind. Very humorous and frankly spoken from someone who has been there too. You have nothing to lose and it’s FREE anyway. Rick

danielinsfLove this but…I love these podcasts. But dude, what’s with the background noise? The latest meditation related to attachment sounded like someone was banging pots and packing a suitcase right into the microphone.

Mom of Boys, New Mexico USAMy all-time favorite podcastJosh, thank you for everything you teach and share. Your knowledge of psychology, Buddhism, and the brain is so great that your podcast is now my favorite of all time. I know that you must be helping so many people, as you are helping me for sure. I am so thankful for your book and podcast, both of which are truly excellent. I too came from an abusive background and I have experienced anxiety/depression, so after studying psychology, meditation, and Buddhism myself I have now come across your work which is exactly what I need in my life. Your style on the podcast is just like talking with a friend and I love this laidback and relatable approach. Thank you again.

CookiejarvisEnlighteningGood stuff. Just gets a little negative with the republican bashing. I’m a democrat just don’t care for that part.

Mad genius 1977I 💗 josh Korda! After 25 years of failed 12 step attempts & extreme addiction problems, he and this program has helped me. I personally vibe with him much more than Noah, & love the cognitive science approach he also adds. The juxtaposition of Buddhism & science have saved my life. I hope to see him speak in L.A. one day! ☸️🙏🏼🧘🏻♀️

Bha0102Great speaker - but...Great speaker. Has good insight and is entertaining. Explains concepts in a clear and relevant way, and I really enjoyed the episodes, but.... the F bombs are dropped a lot. I’m not sure why. He is “keeping it real” I guess, but its just not necessary and puts a trashy touch on otherwise great talks. Does not mean others will feel the same, just wasn’t for me. Too bad for me because if not for, in my personal opinion, that sour touch, I’d be a subscriber. He is a talented communicator.
-
Kim🙏🏼🤙🏻Josh Korda is my current go to meditation teacher. I eagerly look forward to his talks. I find him incredibly wise, open and honest, funny and relatable. His words are wise pointers to truth and have benefited me greatly. He is well read in the field of modern neuroscience and psychology and interweaves these teachings very skillfully with ancient Buddhist teachings. Like me, he has overcome childhood abuse and addiction so he’s got street credibility in my book. Many thanks Josh! 🙌🏼🙏🏼

LululoopsyLove this podcast!Always happy to hear Josh's talks. I love his insights, bluntness and humor. Witty, intelligent and centering. Highly recommend.

AppxSciLife changing helpThis podcast had helped me in more ways than I can share. The mix of dharma and practical psychological information is not only informative but actually helpful in the day to day. By far my favorite podcast and go-to resource for a modern Buddhist perspective. Also love the fact that there are no ads of any kind and no skippable "housekeeping" BS in any part of the podcast.
-
birminghamdrunkremarkably relatable, hysterically helpfulafter learning to meditate a little over a year ago i've cycled through a lot of apps and podcasts looking for the right kind of "no woo-woo" real life Buddhist teachings that Josh dispenses so effectively. i recommend this podcast to anyone who will listen, and there aren't many of us here in Birmingham, Alabama who will, but there are some! A++ Buddhist teaching with a scientific edge and emotionally empathetic wit that makes every episode feel fun. Thanks for sharing, Josh!
-
Eazy CPhenomenalA great podcast. Josh Korda provides a synthesis of buddhism and science with humor and compassion. Each podcast typically offers practical tools one can employ in dealing with a variety of challenges and situations. I recommend the podcast wholeheartedly.
-
Rayo72Makes my day so much betterI absolutely love the talks Josh Korda gives. I send them to my friends and family and have many people listening to them. Honestly, listening to a podcast makes my day a million times better. When I take a break to listen to one of his talks I never regret it, I feel so much more focused, and usually use the information I received from it for days and months after. I give as big of a recommendation as I possibly can give to this podcast. I love the mixture of science and Buddhism. It is really wonderful. Thank you Josh and Dharma Punx!
-
Tricky_PHelpfulI can relate to this Mr. Korda fellow. I enjoy the talks. I find the lack of Chintzy "meditative music" and the absence of clever editing wonderfully beneficial to receiving the information. Thank you.
