Hangar49

16

Jim Leighty, Al Gilson, and Tony Roberts talk about different airstrips to visit, the ups and downs of flying in the Pacific Northwest, and all the fun events you can find here! We also like to discuss aviation music, movies, books, and websites. Basically we are just a bunch of fun loving pilots that have a passion for aviation just like you!

    Hangar 49
After 10 years, this show continues to be fresh. It's a somewhat irreverent look at the world of aviation, from a couple of pilots who have been there, done that. (Sometimes in their own minds.)

    Local flavor still golden
Keep up the show I look forward to it almost each week. I listen to it on the way to work and it makes my drive so much easer. Bushcaddy

nothing beats friends talking about flying!
I just discovered Hangar49, and have been enjoying catching up. Thanks to the team (Al, Jim, and Tony - alphabetical order :-) ) that has been getting together regularly to produce this show. These guys are great! This is the first podcast that I've ever hear that has mentioned Priest Lake, the airport at Cavanaugh Bay, and Indian Creek, in North Idaho. Hope to catch them at Arlington WA at an upcoming Fly-In.

    Top notch entertainment!
Al, Jim, and Tony do a great job of weaving stories, music, movies, and sound clips around a theme of aviation. Always entertaining, sometimes informative, and full of hangar stories! I didn't start listening to Hangar49 until last summer, but I went back to Episode 1 and listened to them all. Great job! Keep it up!

    Recently discovered gem
Well produced general aviation podcast with emphasis on the Northwestern US. Presentation is loose enough to be relaxed, but with some regular features that you look forward to. Good length, and Jim keeps things moving when they start to veer off. Occasional live coverage of local aviation events is a nice break. You can tell some of the crew are broadcast pros. Still catching up on episodes, but definitely glad I found it. Would give it 5 stars if I didn't have to struggle to hear/understand Tony quite so much. Part of it is his accent (not his fault) but sometimes he seems to be the weak link, audio-wise. Must be the bits getting stopped at the border!

    Great local info.
Ahhhhhh, to be home again! I am stuck down here in California, but am from Washington and I miss flying at in my home state and the PNW in general! This podcast, is a combination Hangar talk, GA news, and places, movies, music and other tidbits about flying in the Great NW! This is the first podcast I have ever listed to, and I definitely enjoy it! (only problem is sometimes I want to call in and add to some of there stories!) Enjoy it immensely! Thanks!

If you Fly, you'll love it - if you live in the Northwest you'll love it even more
This is a great podcast covering flying in the northwest, general aviation, the joy of flying and banter that any pilot or aspiring pilot will love. Stepping into the virtual Hangar 49 is a great use of your iPod. If you plan on visiting the NW it sounds like there is a whole forum of chaps like this as well. Keep 'em coming.
