    Our Ancient scriptures
Rabbi Levine was born of the tribe of Levi, to a conservative Jewish family. In this day, it is rude and inappropriate for commenters to label this Jewish man’s work in a way he doesn’t agree with.

    Bait and Switch
They call themselves “Jews” but that they ain’t. More like they take Judaism, put it on like a religious costume, then go straight to hard right evangelical Christianity, and proselytize—which real Jews DON’T do. They can’t be honest about what they are or what they are really doing. Avoid!

He’s BRILLIANT- incredible insights from the scriptures week after week
I started listening to these years ago and keep coming back, sometimes catching the latest episode and sometimes scrolling back months or even years to re-listen or get a different perspective on a specific portion of scripture. It’s really helpful that the Rabbi follows the traditional Torah portion schedule each week. Along with the five books of Moses, he also incorporates other areas of scripture throughout the Bible to help give clarity and deeper understanding. Keep up the great work! P.S. I noticed some reviewers calling for this to be recategorized from “Judaism” into “Christianity” which is *incredibly offensive*. The speaker is a Jewish Rabbi - listened to by Jewish people - as he teaches from the Jewish scriptures - about Jewish people - helping Jews live a better life. This podacst is all about Judaism and belongs right where it is. Unfortunately some people are closed minded about the many expressions of the Jewish faith

    NOT JEWISH
Like a pig who shows it’s hooves as if it’s kosher, “messianic Jews” pose as delivering the message of Hashem. They deliver the message of JC the FAKE god. Don’t be fooled. Hashem is one!

    Misleading
Please recategorize your podcast from Judaism to Christianity. No one begrudges you your beliefs or heritage, but Christian podcasts already dominate the religious podcast lists. People go to the Jewish section specifically for Jewish content. I’ve asked Apple but expect to be ignored. Please be a mensch & retag your show as Christian.

    Don’t be fooled!!!
This is not real Judaism. Jesus is obviously not Mashiach. The New Testament is totally fake and was made up by Jewish double agents with the goal of distancing Jews from Jesus because he is an avodah zarah. Messianic Judaism is pure c’firah. These people are idolaters and missionaries. These people believe that Jewish law is fake. You can’t be a rabbi and believe in Jesus. There is only one god.

I wish it was the way it used to be.
I started listening to the podcasts about 5 years ago. So blessed to have found them. Then covid hit and they became live and I was ecstatic! About it month later it became more about the comments, needing some validation, constantly looking at the chat box and being distracted from the message being taught. This has become so disturbing to me I had to stop watching. I’m sad because being included in the zoom services made me feel more connected, more included into this family of Yeshua. The constant instructing to “share” just became bothersome also. Just focus on the people you have. I’ve gone back to listening to the podcast but Rabbi David seems distracted enough that it’s coming through in the podcast now, not sure how much more I can endure of that. Hadassah

    When the World Creeps In
After years of faithful listening, and honest desire to continue learning, I happened upon episode 391. As a theologian, a biblical translator, and modern day Samaritan it was deeply disturbing to listen to this episode. Jesus lived amongst the ethnically mixed, the so-called weakened ones. He spoke their language and clearly recognized a strength and decency significant enough to bring him comfort. I sense a separatist agenda in the teachings of the Rabbi lately. It’s clear the world of men has crept into this guy’s heart. Truly disappointed. The blind leading the blind.

It is inappropriate ti label this podcast under Judaism. "Messianic Jews" are Christians.

    Truth
I've been listening to Rabbi Levine's podcast for several years. My husband and I are members of a Messianic Jewish congregation in Tennessee and I am grateful that Rabbi Levine presents his message on the Torah portion every week. Thank you!

Yeshua is Adonai, he is One
Yeshua ben David the king of the Jews! Yes that's right, the torah mentions him, I pray that the lord open the eyes of the remnant of his people Israel. Yeshua never intended to start Christianity at all. He kept mitzvot, the lord himself came down to be the son. He is adonai he is one! Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu, adonai echad. One of the greatest commandments ever.

    Simple, Direct, and Practical Teaching
Though Rabbi Levine has some very deep insights, he puts it on a plane that is easily understood. He directly applies the Torah portion, and makes it practical to daily living.

    Thank you.
David Levine teaches the Bible. I am a Christian and I have learned so much from listening and sharing experiences that the Rabbi talks about. Love his sense of humor also. This podcast speaks to all people.

    Yeshua was a Jew
We are Jews, Yeshua was a Jew and we follow him.

    Deceptive
There is nothing Jewish about Messianics; it’s Christians behaving in ways that are similar to Torah-observant Jews, with a goal of converting Jews to Christianity. This is highly offensive to Jews. Do not be fooled!
  • Nickname4WWW
This is not Jewish! Don't be fooled.
Jews do not believe Jesus was the Messiah. Just like Christians do not believe Mohammed was a prophet. Put this in Christianity.
  • Gen_Italia
    Repulsive.
This is Christianity, not Judaism. Appropriative and offensive.

    Top Notch
This is an excellent podcast. Rabbi Levine does a great job of showing the continuity between the Tanakh and the Brit Chadashah.

    Excellent Messianic Teachings!
First of all, LOL to all the Jewish people hating on this podcast. It says very clearly in the title that it is a Messianic message. If you can't read that far and download it anyway you probably deserve to be "tricked into thinking Jesus is the messiah" as somebody so eloquently put. Secondly, this is a fabulous podcast! As somebody who doesn't have a nearby congregation with similar beliefs this has been very useful to me as I have been coming into Torah. Keep up the good work :)

peace to you mr. levine and all those in your congregation and all those who listen and love Yeshua. been listening to this podcast for about 3 years maybe. has helped and edified me in many ways. there is no messianic congregation in my area. having this resource is a great blessing. however, for some reason i can not down load "torah and salvation" i have no other problems with other podcasts. wondering if itys something on your end? is it posible to repost the podcast? or can i get some idea of how to access this podcast. thank you and shalom.

    Unreal.
I guess Jews don't understand that it's not only Christians who are involved in the Messianic movement. For one, lets move away from being focused on labels. I don't claim to be a Messianic Jew, as I am not Jewish. But I also don't care to call myself a Christian. I am simply a follower of Yeshua. I was taught that the law was done away with, but as I began to understand scriptures more, I see that He calls his followers to observe Torah. Look, Jesus was a Jew. He observed the laws perfectly. So it makes sense that in order to follow Christ, one must submit themselves to his teachings.. which is to be Torah observant. But the law does not provide salvation. Rather, it is a response to his love that we choose to be obedient. No one is pretending to be Jews. I'm not. And a lot of people I know aren't trying to be Jewish. However, we follow The Way that Jesus taught. And being Torah observant is apart of that. It's really that simple. We aren't bound my the prison of the law because He has fulfilled it. Sad to see so many paranoid Jews. But.. Jesus was a Jew. If he were here today, he'd be orthodox. And as he followers.. we should strive to be like him.. Torah observant.. with the understand that He is the Messiah, and he gives salvation.. not the law. People need to relax.

Great teachings from a Messianic Perspective
Rabbi Levine is an engaging Torah teacher. His messages are clear and concise. Most importantly, he unashamedly exalts the name of our Messiah, Yeshua.

Haters gonna hate but good always wins in the end
  • thedavyg
I am sorry for the ignorant Jews
As I read these reviews citing that a Messianic Jew is not a Jew, I wonder if those complaining know what the definition of a Jew is. Torah cites specifically what makes a man a Jew and once a Jew, always a Jew.

    Kashreth
This podcast has nothing to do with Jewish theology, and has everything to Christian missionary activity! As a Jew, I understand that conversion of non-Christians is a part of that religion. Christians should understand that these missionary efforts are highly offensive to Jews! Christianity is one religion and the Jewish is another religion.

    This is Cristianty not Judaism!
These people may be jewish by birth but by faith they are good old fashioned Christians so keep far away. If you want the inside scoop into how contorted and ridiculous messianic belief is just go to outreachjudaism.org and hear Rabbi Tuvia Singer give detailed full length lectures that makes absolute mincemeat of this sham. I can't understand why Apple allow this to be under "Judaism." The jewish people have for a millennia suffered from apostates like these and to call this Judaism is an insult to the faith that we received at Sinai.

    Thank you
This Christian born soul listens to David Levine as soon as his podcasts are available each week because his teaching is grounded in Truth, expanding my perspective and edifying my Spirit. Meanwhile his mellow style of speaking soothes my heart and nerves, frazzled by the more common pulpit ranting. Thank you David for thus helping Our One Lord circumcise this spiritually Jewish heart.

    You will be blessed....
We've been involved in many Messianic Jewish Congregations in Jerusalem, Israel as well as in the States; and we have attended Beth Israel Congregation while visiting Jacksonville, Florida -- when at home in Indiana, we listen to the Beth Israel podcasts. Rabbi Levine is sound in personal practice and in shared teachings. You would do well to enjoy his podcasts and to dimiss his critics.
  • why you want my name?
    with the best of intentions
we bless Israel because we know a God who does what he says and keeps his promises, we are indebted to Israel becasue she was the first to listen, we pray for Israel because we know a God who loves her and a world who needs her - how can that come from anywher but God? This is what sincere hearted Gentile Christians who seek God faithfully find through Jesus, his heart for the ones he first called his. I understand why Jewish people feel the need to preserve themselves in this world, but I also have faith in a God who has already said he himself will preserve them and why I rejoice that Jesus still has Jewish people who call him theirs.

    Question
To all of the non Messianic Jews, why is it that if a Jew is Messianic, then he is no longer apart of the Jewish community. But if he's atheist, buddhist, or hindu than he is still Jewish. This man who is speaking happens to be my grandfather. I attend all of these services. Why can't God be in human form? Is that the one thing He cannot do? Sure he could be human. It says clearly in Genesis that God came down as three men (Father Son and Holy Spirit) and spoke to Abraham in person.

    Anointed Teacher
I have followed these Podcasts for years. When I travel they are always a great joy, comfort, enlightenment as well as a source of personal edification. The teachings are practical and rich. This man truly knows how to study & share the current word from the heart of God. I only wished I lived near by I would join this fellowship. My heart is to anyone who is " turned off" by the term " Messianic, don't judge... Listen and decide for yourself... Search the scriptures for yourself!!! Shalom!

This is not a orthodox Jewish podcast. If this doesn't interest you, please don't toss your hateful comments around. Go find yourself a orthodox podcast, I 've seen there are many.

Rabbinic curse in the Talmud forbids Daniel 9:24-27. Why?
May the bones of the hands and the bones of the fingers decay and decompose, of him who turns the pages of the book of Daniel, to find out the time of Daniel 9:24-27, and may his memory rot from off the face of the earth forever. An ancient Rabbinic curse in the Talmud forbids people to read Daniel 9:24-27. Why? What are they trying to hide? The 70-week prophecy, the greatest proof of YESHUA as the Messiah, is found in these verses. They predict the time of the Messiah's anointing, putting the issue beyond doubt.

    Great teaching
The Messianic Jews are carrying the word of Yeshua to all those who will listen. Rabbi Levine is anointed. During the Tribulation, ----"Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel."(Revelation 7:4 NIV). These will be Messianic Jews bringing the gift of Yeshua. You will learn from these podcasts.

    The Lord
God has power over all things. Messianic podcasts remain under the Jewish category. God wants his people to return to Himself. In Genesis 1:1 the word for God, אלהים or 'elohiym (as it is transliterated) is plural. "I and the Father are one" The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. That's a quote from John chapter 10. Jews didn't believe then also. I love you.
  • Oren Saar
    Jews, don't listen to hin.
It is extremely simple: Jewish beliefs include that god is the ONLY creator and we must serve no one else. We cannot worship je$us. "rabbi" Levine is not a legitimate orthodox rabbi. If you are orthodox and believe in Judaism it is just not right for you to listen to this foolishness.
