    Y’all, please be for real…
That retired judge Lou is either being paid by judge Bev or he was at that party that night because woww I have never heard someone so biased in my entire life. What a joke

    Too Bias
Sad that this news outlet is so quick to judge. If Karen is so clearly innocent and the Canton PD is so clearly corrupt, why was the first trial a hung jury and why haven’t there been more arrests and terminations? And, why did Karen need to go on some behind the scenes media blitz and feed Turtleboy information to create this circus? She’s not being railroaded and she not a scapegoat. The federal investigation would have uncovered all of it and there would have been no trial. Sadly, we live in a world where eyeballs, likes and views translates into income, quasi fame and ratings. Media coverage should be more neutral. How tragic for John O’Keefe and his family.

Judge Lu is an embarrassment to your podcast
Judge Lu is an embarrassment and wildly unprofessional, with blind loyalty and biases. Your team loses all credibility and respect by having him participate.

    Bizarre
So biased. It seems like these people are watching a completely different trial. The retired judge Lu praising everything judge cannone does is so bizarre. Maybe just do a recap without adding in weird opinions!

    Biased judge
I was really liking this local coverage and some of the guest commentators they brought on but I can’t listen to Judge Lu be so biased any longer. It doesn’t even feel like an informed opinion but more like blind loyalty to the prosecution and the CW.

    Inaccurate
It’s like the experts don’t even watch the trial. Incorrect information.

    Replace Judge Lu
I listened to this show everyday, but Judge Jack Lu has turned me off to it. He comes off as arrogant and cocky.

Can you maybe try to be fair to both sides?

Not sure these people listen to the trial
It just doesn’t feel like anyone on this show is actually listening to the trial.

    Low Level Journalism
Though I am fascinated by this case & have been following it since the first trial, I am still truly unconvinced of Ms. Read’s guilt or innocence. Therefore it is so disappointing that these local Boston journalists seem to be phoning it in and hosting a panel of primarily biased legal professionals. Morjieta Derisier is the only legal panelist with open-minded, nuanced observations & opinions. She is mostly thrown softball questions though, and from reporters who seem fairly disinterested and misguided in what they choose to focus on daily in the trial. Their questions are clearly those of a producer and not coming from their own genuine curiosity. Sue O’Connell is great always, but the intelligent insight of both of these women is underutilized. This show/podcast makes Boston journalism appear as sadly unsophisticated and biased as Boston law enforcement.

    Awful
Really hard to listen to. It is like we are all watching a different trial than you.

    Overall good with some bias
The retired judge Lu on this podcast is biased toward to judge in the case. His takes actually makes me feel more suspicious about corruption or, at the very least, antiquated thinking within the Mass court system. Just saying “I apologize for my errors” isn’t enough to overcome the misogynistic bias proctor displayed and the lack import Lu puts on what proctor said and did is very telling. Lu also calls the judge in the case “nurturing” and “patient” when she’s shown herself to be the opposite on numerous occasions. There definitely seems to be level of protective nepotism that’s concerning.

    Can’t call a witness a liar…
On May 19, a tech witness for the prosecution who outright lied on his resume (has no math or business degree, nope 🙂‍↔️, no two ways about it) got a pass from this crowd of reporters (except fire one) as “making misstatements” and “not being forthcoming”! And we’re supposed to trust our lives and liberty to this prosecutor, their “experts” and the Canton PD. You can’t even find the courage to say “he lied”. Thanks for nothing, media.

    What a joke
Calling this judge fair is an absolute joke. Showing your biased as usual.

    Expected way more professional content
How in the world does a reporter not make it her job to know the difference between a coroner and a medical examiner? Emily sounded like an idiot not knowing the most basic fundamentals of who does what. I would be embarrassed if I had anything to do with this production. Y’all look dumb.

    concise daily snapshot of case
I like the nice recap. The only criticism I have is the retired judge. (?Jack Lu) His voice sounds garbled and drooly. Also his fawning and praise over Judge Canones is ridiculously off. She’s very biased against and impatient with the defense. And I’m an experienced prosecutor.

    Second Trial Coverage
Your coverage of the first trial was so much better. Your coverage of the second trial seems like you have been told by your bosses to try to frame the prosecution in the most favorable terms possible. It does not sound like we are watching the same trial. If I were on that jury, I would be inclined to find Karen Read innocent based on the behavior of the judge as well as the rest of the CW and their witnesses who have the most selective memories I have ever seen. Hopefully your coverage will become more reflective of what is actually happening in this trial.

    Great podcast
This is the best podcast I've found so far that isn't biased covering the trial!
  • TabbytabbyK
Doesn't even deserve one star (but zero isn't an option)
This podcast is an absolute joke. You all look as foolish as the Commonwealth. Or possibly more, as even they know they're lying. You're just the idiots who believe them. They have made fools out of you!
  • Laurenannee
    Amnesia
Are we listening to the same trial? Jen did a good job at answering..... or dodging questions. We could fill a memory care unit with the amount memory loss on the stand. I liked this recap but it's becoming more and more biased by the moment. This is why less and less are watching the news- we want facts not protective opinions
  • LeawoodLebowitz
Really?! You included a retired Boston police officer in your reporting?!
Oof. Clearly, this guy will protect the cop brotherhood under any & all circumstances. His claim that cops do not ever investigate a house after they find a dead person with extensive scratches/bruising/etc lying in the yard/property was a joke. Not to mention the whole, we don’t enter homes without proper documentation… Sure, Jan. Also I did a double take when they mentioned the EMT went on group vacations with the daughter of the McCabes, but then they only played the clip of Jackson proving they were at the same baby shower. The vacation evidence would’ve been a better thing to report upon. I did not think the reporting was biased at all until recently. I’m sure the cops said they would no longer participate in helping the news station report upon cases if they depicted the PD in a negative manner.

    Excellent Unbiased
The best podcast on this trial so far.

Are we watching the same trial?
So biased it’s been hard to listen to.

    Biased Against Defense
Are we listening to the same trial?

    Biased Bev fans
Awful coverage if you want a fair trial. They praise the prosecutor and judge. Are you sponsored by NCDA? Never ask tough questions to NCDA, Maura Healey, Noble and ALL the taxpayers money wasted on mob attorneys and MSP /DA CORRUPTION. Skipped over the Federal Government investigation in this case
  • Acthatcher
    Biased and too many ads
Found this podcast last year with the first trial and found it very useful. The retrial coverage is a totally different podcast. It’s SO biased! I can’t believe their takes. I am now listening to other lawyers on YouTube give their analysis and nobody is thinking the prosecution is doing as well as this podcast is portraying. Weird take to have. And the ads? Ridiculous. This is a hard pass for me
  • Christine Santillo
    Talk about Biased
They are covering Karen Read’s re-trial and I can’t see how anyone could have listened to opening arguments and thought the prosecution won that fight. Literally the opposite. They clearly have their beliefs and their “reporting” is skewed.
  • giga chad ukraine
    Too many commercials
Half of it is commercials. It almost feels like they are willing to air lower quality content to justify the air time of their commercials.
  • NHnaturegirl
Too many Ads- Not Worth It
This was my go to recap pod for this trial last year. Now 1/2 the pod is ads. 11 minutes with 5 minutes of ads? Hard pass. I’ll find another source.
  • Greg Potter
    Karen Read is innocent
    The McAlberts are guilty.
  • cmdm
    i’ve never said anything negative…
about the o’keefe family and would not…i’ve said MA LE is dirty from the top to the bottom and karen read is not only not guilty, she’s INNOCENT…
  • bk1069
    Legal expert is wrong
The judge can take a partial verdict. If the jury unanimously agrees she is not guilty of 2nd degree murder but can’t decide on the lesser the judge can accept that verdict and in that case 2nd degree is off the table if there is a new trial.
  • BingeRecoveryAttempt
    Great recap
I disagree with the other reviews that it’s biased. They’re just stating the facts. And the facts are that there is a lot of questions. I think it’s helpful to know that this wasn’t recorded specifically as a podcast bc almost every episode has a “we have just a few seconds left” which was annoying and rushed. But other than that I enjoyed it. It was no Unsolved SC: Murdaugh - Murders, Money and Mystery, but engaging and informative.
  • TLC Boston
    Good recap
Good recap of the days events but seems biased with the police and prosecutors.
  • WelshieC
    Terrible Commentary
Good enough Trial recap but the commentary is very irritating. It feels lazy and lacking a true critique and insight into the case.
  • Mikiko6
    I appreciate this podcast but…
Great recap of every court date for us who can’t watch them live. However the guest was VERY biased towards the prosecution
  • Knuckleheadwife
    Weird interpretation of the trial
At times I’m wondering if the commentators are watching the same trial as I am. The opinions seem rather glossy. The commentators lack the ability to report on apparent untruths that witnesses are testifying. No comment is made when the witnesses change their testimony.
