Twenty years ago, this fall, the Carolina Panthers embarked on a journey to the franchise's first ever Super Bowl - Super Bowl XXXVIII.

When training camp began in July of 2003, Panther fans were daydreaming about an unlikely return to the playoffs, and the coaching staff was struggling to name a starting quarterback. Few, at that time, thought an NFC Championship was a realistic outcome for the 2003 Carolina Panthers, but when the season kicked off and a franchise quarterback emerged, fans and media members alike would be forced to adjust their expectations.

In this limited series, Anish Shroff relives the Panthers journey to Super Bowl 38 with many of the people responsible for the thrilling wins and beloved memories that helped establish the foundation of a young NFL franchise.

A little correction, Belichick was in his 4th year as Head Coach of the Patriots during the 2003 season. He and Brady joined the same season.

    Great Editing! Awesome Listen!
This is a super interesting podcast and I’m not even a panthers fan! Love the way the story flows seamlessly. Very digestible short episodes that perfectly fit together. Love this pod!!

Story is a 5, story telling and production a 2
Those of us who’ve been Panther fans from the beginning lived this. When I heard this podcast was coming, I was so excited to relive that magical year. Problem is, the podcast is just ok. They have all the right people, but I feel like it’s just too short per episode. They’re not long enough to even get through a point in the story. Then by a week or more later, when the next episode comes out, the interest is gone. There’s not been a memorable moment yet. Then episodes just end. There’s no rhyme or reason why they end the way they do. It’s almost in mid thought. I think I’ll just stop listening until all the episodes are out. Maybe that way the thought might be completed if you can end one episode and start the other. Just feels like a bad producer on this one. Bummer for sure.
