    Whiny former child stars
If you want to listen to the stars of a show you loved as a kid tell you how much they dislike the show then this is the podcast for you. And I just had to fast forward through a 7 minute ad break. That’s just absurd. I also thought they were very rude and attacked Maitland Ward in a really nasty way when they finally had her on the show. I had a huge crush on Topanga as a teenager but now after listening to Danielle over the course of this podcast I can’t stand that woman. 🤢🤮

    The nostalgia itch
Show has so much potential, but it’s just not there. Danielle comes off as extremely insincere, rider just is just sad and jaded on the whole show and Will is a positive puppy dog, that seems to be the only one in touch with reality about what the show was. The guests are usually good, which is a positive

    Ups and downs.
Will is the only one that is tolerable throughout the whole series. Rider whines about every episode like he would have made a better show

Like it but could be annoying at times
Yes, it frustrates me that they continue to talk about what they would have done. It’s still a very podcast

    Pod Meets World is stroughdebryte!
The chemistry of the trifecta of Danielle, Rider, and Will is irresistibly engaging. It’s not nostalgia bait but a genuinely informative and entertaining retrospective about one of the best 90’s early 00’s shows ever.

    Pod Meets Samsung™️
Love this podcast but jeez the amount of ads is getting absurd! I need to skip 3 minutes just to hear it start and today I found myself listening to pretty much an infomercial about Samsung phones. Seriously, I’m supposed to believe 3 former child stars are genuinely impressed by a cell phone camera? Lol

    Entertaining Monday morning Quarter Backing
Very entertaining trio who’s friendship you get to be a part of. Unlike other rewatch podcasts that are sponsored by the network the show was on, these actors actually get to show their true personalities and share their honest opinions on episodes and their experiences. Plus, SO MANY guest interviews. Funny, informative, entertaining; pretty much all you could ask for from these people. Probably shouldn’t have a “clean” rating though tbh

What I’ve learned from Pod Meets World. . .
I’ve seen Pod Meets World bouncing around the internet for the last few years. I’m not a podcast person, so I’m hundreds of episodes behind. Like basically everyone, the Maitland Ward episode sucked me in, and now I’m rewatching the show on Disney . It’s SO WEIRD that Danielle, Will, and Rider are not only real people - but they’re adults now. In my head, even though I’m 41, they’re definitely still the same people I — totally not at all weirdly — had plastered to my wall. Thanks to living in a crater in Iowa in the 90s, my entertainment news was delivered by print, and I have to find out 30 years later that it’s NOT Will Free-dill. My life is forever changed.

    Eek!
Man that Maitland interview was difficult to listen to. I understand where Danielle was coming from, but I agree with the other reviews that she just came off like a bully. I don’t know why Danielle would allow an episode release where she comes off that bad. I thought it was nice that Will took accountability and said that the miscommunication on when the interview would happen was his fault. I support Danielle‘s decision to defend Maitland‘s comments about them in the press, but the constant beating was really really uncomfortable and a little out of line.

    Ain’t College Great Title
Menell wrote the episode and I can’t remember if he’s the wrestling lover, but if so I think it explains the title.. during the time this episode came out was when Jeff Jarrett’s gimmick was saying Ain’t I Great all the time so it might be referencing that.

    Shame on you
I loved listening to your podcast and reminiscing but you really did come across as bullies in your last podcast with Maitland (although the guys really didn’t get a chance to even speak much without being interrupted ). Your show is listed as clean although you acted so gross in the last podcast, as one of your listeners pointed out to grow up when you kept shouting wtd - so gross and incredibly immature, not to mention your stupid dtf comments before that I felt I cringed through. Get it together. The world is disgusting enough. We don’t listen to your podcast for this. We need a break from it! You should put something out there and address your fans. Until you do, I definitely won’t listen to you again and it’s hard to even watch your show anymore for nostalgia even with a potential apology or explanation.

    Love!
Just started this podcast last week and listened to the first 3 episodes without even starting a rewatch bc they’re just that interesting. Started watching along after episode 3 and now I am hooked. So fun and nostalgic to look back and remember the 90s, the fashion, the story lines but SOOO interesting to hear all the background on each episode and what really went in to making the show. Really really enjoying the pod 🫶🏼

    Danielle Fishel, Esq.
I know Danielle just plays an attorney on TV but girl you could have fooled us all— and I’m an attorney. You set the facts straight and held the TMZ stalker accountable no matter how many times (I honestly lost count) she deflected and evaded your points. Brilliant job cutting through the nonsensical and confusing crud she kept flinging. It was tiresome just listening to it! Bravo you guys for defending the integrity of this amazing podcast! 🙌

    I adore you 3
Keep up the good work. I listen weekly & can't get enough. Love you 3 ❤️

    Rewatch?
The only problem with this podcast is it’s NOT a rewatch, it a re-tooling of a show. It’s not a fun rewatch, it’s the speakers telling us what should have been done to make the show better. Best episode so far is the maitland ward episode. Very cringe lol

    Podcast Review: Pod Meets World
If you’re a Boy Meets World fan—or just someone who appreciates great storytelling, nostalgia, and behind-the-scenes insights from the people who lived it—Pod Meets World is an absolute must-listen. Hosted by Danielle Fishel (Topanga), Rider Strong (Shawn), and Will Friedle (Eric), this podcast is the ultimate deep dive into one of the most beloved sitcoms of the ’90s. From the very first episode, it’s clear that this isn’t just another rewatch podcast. The hosts bring a perfect blend of humor, honesty, and heart as they revisit each episode of Boy Meets World, sharing their personal experiences, industry insights, and even the occasional guest appearance from cast members, writers, and directors. What sets Pod Meets World apart is its genuine chemistry—Danielle, Rider, and Will have remained close friends, and their natural rapport makes every episode feel like a warm conversation among old friends. Beyond the nostalgia, the podcast doesn’t shy away from the real-life struggles of being child actors, the challenges of working in Hollywood, and the way their perspectives have evolved over the years. They reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and how the show holds up today. Their discussions often go beyond the surface-level recap, diving into themes of growing up, friendship, and even the ways in which the industry has changed since the ’90s. The production quality is top-notch, and the episodes strike a great balance between humor, heartfelt moments, and insightful analysis. Whether you grew up with Cory and the gang or are discovering Boy Meets World for the first time, Pod Meets World is an entertaining, enlightening, and downright fun podcast that keeps you coming back for more. A perfect blend of nostalgia, laughter, and sincerity—this podcast is the ultimate love letter to Boy Meets World and its fans. 10/10, highly recommended!

    Y’all are mean
I just listened to you bully and drill Maitland! That was horrible and hard to listen to! Especially how you acted so fake nice to get her to open up and be comfortable then attacked! Horrible
  • ressesresses
    No for me
I just listened to the Maitland episode. Way to bully ur guest. Unreal that y’all brought that girl on to pick on her.
  • WhoeverThisIs14
    What?
Maitland seems out of her mind thinking you all are using HER for attention…it’s clearly the other way around to me... No one even knows who she is, outside of the “adult entertainment world” !! And who knows how famous she is within that. For her to say that she thought Danielle was worried on GMW that Maitland “take away attention” is just ridiculous. Again, no one knows who Maitland is and Rachel was a pointless, forgettable character and Maitland was no great actress. Topanga is a household name. Case closed on who is using who. The episode was entertaining, however. Maitland should have talked about her new face and how it’s crazy anyone would recognize her from BMW since she looks so different. If Danielle was petty she would have mentioned that… It’s also crazy that this person few know about gets “stopped on the street” by paparazzi regularly…but only when it’s convenient for a narrative… uh huh. That always happens to Z list people. And the people still talking about Drake Bell need to read what Drake himself has said after he talked to Rider. If you’re so involved that you’re coming to review on behalf of that situation, you should actually know about the situation. They didn’t “do” anything to Drake. However Drake has done “things” to young people and been charged with doing said things.

Love all the episodes! It’s so great hearing behind the scenes and all the different perspectives. Thanks for keeping it authentic!

    Danielle
Never took Danielle for a sl*t shamer but I’m not surprised at all. Disgusting to do to an old friend for YOUR FANS TO LISTEN TO. Do this behind closed doors. Literally no one wanted to hear any of it, especially Rider and Will being 12 year olds yelling out “WET THE D*CK!” Grow up guys, your fans already did. You 3 obviously never did.

    Where’s Ben?
Kinda tired hearing the complaining about Ben. He wants nothing to do with you- move on.
  • BHB222
    Sorry Danielle
Danielle Fishels reactions in this podcast prove what Maryland was saying all along. Danielle is snotty and snobby. Just because you disagree with what Maitland had to say, you did not need to go to the lengths you did after the podcast. Shame on you.

    Feels like home
I too enjoy the recap episodes more than some of the other episodes but I also want the pod to last forever so keep doing whatever it takes for that to happen! Please consider doing more episodes of you all just sharing ideas and stories. Also love the draft episodes. The pre show chatter is the best. Always puts me in a good mood when I’m on my way to school (I’m a 3rd grade teacher) What was once my comfort show has now turned into my comfort pod. Thanks!

    And then there was one
I am giving you 5 stars because every episode up until this point has been stellar; this is one of my favorite throwback, re-watch style podcasts. I find myself laughing out loud with every episode. BUT…the latest episode with Maitland Ward was terrible. Please, respectfully, resolve conflict before having the discussion on the pod. I realize that she said she wanted to discuss things in real-time, but as producers, please do better. I couldn’t even finish the episode. I tried, twice. As an OG fan (i.e. I watched episodes in the original run), this was a tough pill to swallow. It left more questions than answers. Love you all, review dismissed.

    Danielle was a bully today
I have been a huge boy meets world fan since childhood and have been a faithful listener to this podcast since day one. I’ve loved getting to know these hosts on a deeper level and many of the discussions they’ve held have made me reflect on my own life and childhood and formative relationships. However, the most recent episode with Maitland Ward made me sick to my stomach. The way Danielle spoke to her was completely out of line and caused me to lose a lot of respect for Danielle. Her tone was deeply condescending and her discomfort with Maitland sex work was clear. Instead of taking any responsibility for how she (who was somewhat in a position of power on girl meets world) made Maitland feel on that set, Danielle instead made herself the victim, and Rider took her side. She could have said “it was really stressful for me, but you’re right I could’ve done more to be friendly and I’m really sorry that I didn’t have capacity to do that at the time”. Prior to this episode I was rooting for Danielle to become the next host of the today show or something similar but after this, my feelings have really cooled. I’d love to hear Danielle do an addendum where she apologizes and takes responsibility for her behavior.

    Awkward
I really like listening to this podcast but I think it was a bad idea to have a porn star on your show. It was sad to hear her defend porn and why she thinks it wonderful. Very awkward!

    Wow that was intense!

    Yikes
The newest episode with Maitland was so uncomfortable. I was really looking forward to this episode and the end really ruined it for me.
  • Jack the Giant Killer
I hope they live in shame forever.
You don’t get to worm your way out of what you did to Drake Bell. You are forever tainted with his assault.

    Annoyed
I love this podcast when they do the episode reviews…but hate when they skip a week or it’s been almost 2 months since they’ve done a new episode…me ( like most people) rewatch each episode before they do the recap, so it’s annoying to do a rewatch expecting them to recap, then having to wait forever

    Love the show!
I absolutely love the dynamic the three of you have! Honestly, one of my favorite parts is the preshow chatter. I also love hearing your different takes on the same scene or situation. Although I don’t always connect with the special pod episodes, I still love to hear how they connect to you all and the show. I am not one to leave reviews often, but I saw several against the extra episodes and thought I would add my voice in support of these episodes. I know there are only so many rewatch episodes possible and I’m here for your creative options that extends the life of this podcast! Thanks for producing the only podcast that I always stay caught up on!

I don’t understand where the recaps went
I love listening to this podcast and I like the extra content but I’m really here for the recaps. Why are they so delayed?

    Remember when
Remember when this was a BMW rewatch pod? Remember when there episodes a week? Remember when the hosts interviewed people actually involved with the show? Remember a simpler time when Magical Rewind didn’t exist and junk up the feed? It’s now been seven or eight weeks of stuff that doesn’t even have to do with BMW. I actually watched a few episodes of the show that the hosts and recapped and I didn’t enjoy them…because the hosts didn’t enjoy watching them or filming them. This has gone from a yes please to a hard pass. My name is Melissa and I DO know everything (at least, the hosts say so). And this podcast ain’t it. At least we got How rude tanneritos out of this mess.
  • Samantha Crouse
    What happened?
I really like the episode recaps but it has now been 7 weeks since the last one. Maybe this has been addressed since the but since I am not interested in the other stuff I haven’t listened.

    Good but the ADS!!
The ads are crazy. There are so many of them and SO long. Aside from that, it’s one of the more enjoyable recap podcasts I have listened to.

    Hi guys!
Hi guys! I’m just writing to tell you how much I loved Boy meets World, and this podcast! Hearing all of your memories and stories truly makes me so happy. I wish you all the best! Ps. Will, as a Connecticut girly, I am always truly outraged on your behalf when Danielle and Rider make fun of our beautiful nutmeg state! 😡😡
  • Beakers Meep
    Decent
The recap episodes are great, but other than that it’s becoming a lot of filler. Magical Rewind episodes clutter up the feed, the drafts are boring, I’ve started skipping the interviews.
  • MarvinSpivack
    Extremely endearing
Boy meets world isn’t even one of my favorite shows but this is absolutely a favorite podcast for me. The friendship between the hosts is so genuine that it makes listening to them talking about whatever a delight. They all have their own form of comedy and play off each other so well it makes you want to be part of their group. Danielle is a great narrator who keeps things on track along with her unexpected jokes, Rider provides his ability to look at the bigger picture with themes touched in the episode, and Will brings a depth of tv knowledge alongside incredibly sharp wit. I appreciate how they’ll be honest if they feel the writing/directing/acting/etc needed improvement (and how they would remedy such problems) but will be just as quick to praise when needed. As other reviews have mentioned, there are a lot of ads but I figure that’s generally the case with any podcast produced by a mass media company. If I could improve one thing, it would be at the end of their recaps they give a general summary of their feelings for the episode (such as rating it). I know they do that at the top of the episode, but I feel just a couple sentences each would be a good way to wrap up since the endings seem a bit abrupt and there’s instances where their view of the episode evolves while discussing it. No matter what though, if they keep making me laugh, I’m good :)
