Join us on the journey to Limpopo National Park, located in the Gaza Province of Mozambique, where we document how poaching has destabilised conservation areas, resulting in the disappearance of more than half of all elephants in the country over the past 10 years. We find out how Administração Nacional das Áreas de Conservação (ANAC), the state institution responsible for the conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable development of Mozambique's ecotourism with support from Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the international community as well as Peace Park Foundation have helped to address threats to biodiversity in the park. We take a deep dive into the daily counter-poaching operations implemented at the park, home to the rangers, where they spend weeks and months away from their families and loved ones to play their critical role in conservation management and protection.
