    Really, really good stuff
the amount of research and effort you guys put into each episode is really impressive and definitely shows through in your work. To Marcus- never let anyone talk you out of an idea you have for how to open an episode

Glad I found this, schooled by Programmed to Chill, Subliminal Jihad, and The Empire Never Ended
Thank you Marcus & Sebbe for your excellent work and honest storytelling. A pleasant research ebb & conversational flow. These are imho deeply important analyses revealing dark disturbing topics; past and contemporary eugenics projects, ideas about ancient farming life, as well as the lies they’ve woven into our academic fabric denigrating *all* of our ancestors. By the twisting of modern scientific hypotheses the actual material realities and our current ideas and understanding about what defines “progress” are in dire need of rigorous critique and fearless research, such as this podcast that you so thoughtfully have provided to us. Thank you again! Great stuff

Marcus, thank you, thank you, thank you
Your work has been the most important to me personally. As a fellow poor peasant especially, I don’t know how to explain how pivotal your show has been to my ideological, practical, material, psychoanalytical , social, political and spiritual life. Thank you.

    excellent show
have learned/learning a lot from this show. i really appreciate the breadth of this show and the range of things it pulls from/integrates. i also really like how the episodes are organized, moving between interrelated topics and looping things back in, as well as the pauses for music and the sense of humor. enjoyable listen in these ways despite often heartbreaking/horrifying revelations. definitely not absorbing all the info at once but im planning to relisten. have been recommending to friends! thank you marcus for all the work you evidently put into this!!

    Darkly Enlightening
This podcast is an excellent addition to the listening options for those interested in left-perspective parapolitical history. Marcus’s knowledge of aspects like agricultural and biological political history really brings something special not found in other great shows of a similar vein. Very glad I found this podcast after the host’s appearance on Ghost Stories for the End of the World. Please keep up the vital work!
  • I’m love 8

Marcus. I find the podcast difficult to follow, but what I have managed to glean has helped me very much.

Integrity: this history pods is brimming
This is a history podcast by Marcus. Marcus, a Swede, was a Buddhist (zen?) monk, walked through China, farmed in South Asia, traveled America and lives as a farmer in Japan. His take on history—as is his life—is filled with integrity and empirical evidence to (a way of being that is starkly at odds with the cult of capitalism). Marcus speaks tons of languages and has out lived loved prayed us all (so we don’t have to amirite). Yes, he’s silly and curious and loves creation in its non binary glory and that’s how history should be told.

PHENOMENAL SHOW!! CRÊME DE LA CRÊME!!!
Makesi's research is profound and his parapolitical marxist analysis is razor sharp. I consider myself very well versed in this subject, but every episode I learn something new.
