Bring back “Toeing The Slab”’ It was the best baseball podcast. The guys have great chemistry. David Cone, Justin Shackil & James Smyth always kept it fun, informative and on point. We need more of TTS than Blue Oyster Cult needs more cowbell! Bring it on back in 2024!

I didn’t think I’d like this show but I listen every week now. Up it to twice a week at least boys.

Great show! But. Change the opening theme music! It’s so JV. Should have something more exciting. Cone is a rock fan. Get his suggestions. It’s a bit pick but I get annoyed every opening of the show. It does not get me stoked to listen.

Really interesting thoughts, perspective, and analysis, a really great listen for any baseball fan!

They talk more about the Yankees than actual pitching.

If you’re not Toeing The Slab, you’re not in the game. I love the game of baseball, but I love the stories I get from the guests as well as from the trio of Coney, James & Justin. I have a new found appreciation for analytics which I never cared about as an older guy. Didn’t understand them, & didn’t want to. Still don’t understand some, but having learned some makes the convo’s about baseball more enjoyable. I have learned you can blend numbers with feel for the game/player, so that’s where I land. Analytics (and Jeter haters) can tell me Jeter is one of the worst SS to play the position defensively. But for me, he’s my SS anytime, anywhere in history bc I think he was an ultra special player since he always knew where to be on the field. The Flip & running/flying into the stands. That’s what you feel. You feel his leadership in the game. You can’t put a number on that. Great shows guys. I really enjoy them. The Real Legend2 on Twitter.

There was quite literally no reason for David to make his “Neanderthal thinking” comment. What’s the point of insulting people? Other than that, the show is good. Sound quality could be improved.

Love this podcast. I do wish Cone’s audio was better. Is it soundproofing that’s needed? Keep up the great work guys.

You can’t convince me that there is a single smarter baseball mind than David Cone. He blends an outstanding MLB résumé with a real world approach to modern analytics. Not only that, the crew has been able to interview some absolute stars on their show. I’m privileged to listen to this podcast!!!

If Coney told me to run through a wall I’d do it. Listening to his podcast is easier. The mix of the old school/new school approach to baseball discussed is perfect.
