myrkyrLovely in-depth chatsThoughtful reviews of some of my favorite movies. Really enjoying so far! Adam is very informative. Dom could be a little less dismissive sometimes, but I honestly enjoy the back-and-forth. Many of the conversations have me cracking up.

steve reginaldWoke leftist politics strike againThese two are constantly going on with their woke leftist politics. Can’t they go one episode without being all woke and lefty, or woking all the way to the left? Five stars.

NickingNinajThe Perfect Film PodThe perfect podcast for film junkies. The hosts are two chill guys who are very apparently in love with (and work with) the medium and have many incredible insights into the production as well as interpretations of your favorite movies.

Deadhead-Dan10The Devils Pass review……was far better than the trainwreck of a movie. Appreciated the earnest and informative overview. On to Romulus next…

SoulacoInteresting and worth your timeI just listened to the prometheus episode and great episode—but it would be even better if the hosts read “at the mountains of madness”. If you watch prometheus, make sure to read the story.

jwalkstonLoved the podcast until they got lazy:Really enjoyed some of the episodes on 2001 and Interstellar and a few of my perennial favorites. They have a keen eye for film at times. But sometimes it seems like they can’t help themselves but backslide into the worn out, trite talking points of the cultural left. They do the frankly boring and lazy thing of making every bit of analysis of a film into political commentary (favoring the predictable side). So it’s a shame they masquerade as film critics when they really just want to dunk on people politically.

Civil7819OLDI was only introduced your show recently, and I am absolutely loving catching up with it. That said, and for the record, “MONSTER” is soo not a forgotten film. You guys make me feel so old. Aside from that, keep it going!

Daniel2297Borderline 2 Star ShowHosts interject their leftist politics every chance they get. Their political viewpoints dominate more of the conversations than they probably realize. The American host is a particularly whiny sounding leftist. I did give three stars though, bordering on two. When they actually talk about the movies and don’t go on their pseudo rants, it’s typically not a bad conversation.

DarwinsLegacyEye of the Duck is a legend in the makingA binge-worthy podcast all about film. It’s hard not to be impressed with their individual and collective takes on movies, the in-depth production histories, and the overall content provided by Adam and Dom.

RuulionInsightful and AuthenticDom and Adam, thank you for this podcast. I don’t review things often but I just want you to know how much I appreciate your heartfelt and honest dialogue. I’ve been binging episodes since last week and adore your thoughtful and honest conversations about what does and doesn’t work for you in a film. I’ve never thought about films this way but the structure of the production history and insight into some of the behind the scenes feels so respectful to the art form without bringing in too much outside drama. Your respect for films you didn’t enjoy also helps me to respect and understand that even films I don’t enjoy had massive amounts of work and effort put into them that deserves recognition. You two have such a pleasant back and forth that I could listen to for hours.

kikistarrrrrrrThe bestYou can tell these two put in the time and effort to hold an insightful and fun conversation on films. You two deserve alllll the listeners.

Tenn-starBest Movie Podcast out thereLove the premise, where one scene distills the thematic and aesthetic concerns of the whole. Great host repartee and chemistry. The organization around a series (Jurassic Summer, Mission Impossible, now Romero Zombie films) works so well as there is a cumulative impact from episode to episode as larger themes exfoliate. The production histories are more thorough than you will get anywhere else, as are the granular analyses of the signature scenes that define their movies, and this podcast. It is what I look forward to the most each Monday!

MegHahnSoloPorco Rosso episode made me cry (in a good way)I always look forward to mondays when the new episodes released. Even if I haven’t seen this weeks movie, the discussion is always thoughtful and funny and actually makes me want to watch it, even if it hadn’t been on my list before. Like the title, the Porco Rosso episode made me tear up during the beginning “memory” of Italy. All around a good podcast, and a good way to spend an hour.

KGNunesNew Favorite PodcastThis is my new favorite film podcast! In a space that's overcrowded and often unoriginal- Eye of the Duck is a unique take that's refreshing. It has given me a new way to view films, even if I've seen them countless times. It has become one for my weekly highlights to watch the film being discussed, then to listen to the podcast and try to guess which scenes the hosts and guest selects as their "Eye of the Duck" and compare that to my own selection. Whether you're a film lover or just looking for a different way to approach watching movies, I highly recommend giving this a listen.

BessypantsDucking AwesomeI didn’t love “Looper” when I saw it in theaters. But, I love listening to Adam and Dom talk about what makes it special. Their insights and playful conversation are not only a joy to experience but have given me a whole new perspective on the film and the storytelling behind it. I look forward to many more. Thanks, guys!
