I am in my late 40’s and recently went back to school for data analytics. I started listening to this podcast during my first semester because I felt intimidated beginning a new career so late in the game. Listening to all the interviews Avery has given as well as his SPN advice has really eased my mind. Instead of intimidation, I’m feeling excitement. This is my new go-to podcast when I’m doing cardio 😂🙌🏽.

All episodes are recorded at annoyingly low volumes. There are no real insights for those trying to get into IT or data analytics. Episodes are boring.

Whether your trying to break into data or you’ve already made it, there’s something for everyone in this podcast. I especially like the interviews with other leading data professionals.

I was listening to the episode on Python while I was cooking dinner a few days ago (as I often listen to podcasts wherever I can since I’m not commuting anymore). I’m really trying to further my skill set in analytics with the goal of breaking into data science. I LOVED the practical advice! How to get started, where to find resources, use cases everything I’m looking to get out of these types of podcasts. The Ask Avery episodes are helpful because they are questions I would ask so I don’t feel completely alone in not knowing certain things when I think I should. Definitely added to the library!
