absence of maliceListening in LoveSoon after starting to listen to this wonderful podcast one of the things that I noticed right away was Jana and how she truly lets her guests speak without interrupting . Letting the guest share all that’s in their heart. Listening so sincerely ,witnessed by the fact that when she does interject it is abundantly clear what a good listener she is because 100 percent of the time she is spot on in conveying the points the guest was making which I’m sure creates an atmosphere for guest of a safe and loving environment to be open and transparent. I can’t recommend this podcast highly enough.

YayabumpTremendous Encouragement and InspirationI discovered the Side B stories after listening to Dr Craig Keener talk about Biblical history, and as I listened to his knowledge of history, it made me curious about how he became a Christian. What a treasure! Since then, I have gone back to the beginning and have been making my way through story after story. I had never heard of Jana Harmon prior to this podcast, but she is one of the best interviewers I have ever heard. She is an incredible listener and does an amazing job of reflecting back on each person’s narrative as she engages with them, all the while marveling at the goodness of God in His work in their lives. Truly a joy to listen to her and makes me want to be a better listener and love people better by listening and engaging with them. What I have loved most as I have listened to these testimonies of people who have gone from unbelief to belief in the Gospel is the beautiful and sweet reminders of the mysterious ways God works to save His people. As I think about people I have been praying for and trying to witness to since my conversion almost 40 years ago, it is tempting to lose heart. Hearing these stories encourages me to keep pressing on in prayer. To be certain that I do not know the inner workings of their thoughts, and to know that God can still save them. Thank you, Jana! Thank you, CS Lewis Institute. And most of all, thank You, Lord.

sshybulllThank you 🤍I love this podcast. It helped me in my conversion from agnosticism to Christianity a year ago. It made me feel less alone and put so many of my jumbled thoughts into words via others’ stories. Jana is a wonderful host and asks all of the right questions in just the right way. She is truly interested and caring towards every single personal testimony . She asks the questions I would want to know if I were interviewing the person (as a new Christian myself) and her care for others is palpable

HitTheSnoozeFascinating stories, but…I’m sure Ms. Jana is a very kind and wonderful person, but she’s a bit of an awkward podcast host. She’s never quite sure what to do with awkward pauses and small talk, recycles some of the same words and phrases over and over, and mostly just repeats back to the interviewees what they’ve already said. However, I love the concept of the show, and as far as I know, there’s nothing else like it out there.

roocarmSide B StoriesThis was a great episode I was particularly intrigued by the method of conversion. Gain insights on different resources on how to win those who are oppose to a western Christian worldview. It is great to see that God is not limited to western Christianity method of conversion but the message of Christ transcends our culture. The messages is the same but the means by which God conveys the message can be endless and he is not locked into our methodology.

Kneelo ScottSide B podcast is worthwhile listening!Hearing peoples honest pass of dealing with viral issues of life in morality, the existence of God the brokenness of the world and individual lives it’s been very beneficial to me.That’s what I get from the Side B podcast. Very balanced exploration of an individual’s views and experiences with God, guided by Jana Harmon’s thoughtful questioning.

Jorge From MASSChallenging Your MindEnjoy listening to this podcast because these interviews demonstrate the importance of truly being “open minded.” Those who ridiculed Christianity were enlightened to the reality that belief in Christianity is not only rational, but the best explanation for reality. Jana Harmon’s soft spoken interviews are a joy to listen.
-
SniffytheDuckThought-provokingEven if a skeptic isn’t convinced of Christian theism after listening to these stories, they can still be used as a means of understanding why people choose Christianity so that they can engage in more efficient and empathetic dialogue with such people.

Texasjaybird60Great personal StoriesGreat personal “testimonies” please keep them coming.

Mattd624PowerfulEach person here has a *powerful* story to tell about how their thinking fundamentally changed about God, about Jesus Christ, about life and reality. Within a few podcasts, my thinking has already been challenged and even changed as a committed Christian, especially when Jana asks each person at the end what their advice would be to Christians. I am already familiar with the arguments for God. But I think that skeptics with open minds will find these stories to be real, honest, and challenging as well. I would add that Jana’s soft approach can be deceiving. Her tone seems timid at first, but I realized she is not timid, and continues to impress me with her thoughtful interview questions that really bring out the meaning and significant turning points in each interviewee’s life.

MarshInMariettaMy wife and I both enjoy this!My wife and I both enjoy this! Very interesting, thought provoking, and inspiration interviews. Each interview is with a former atheist and examines his / her background and his/her journey to finding and accepting Christ. Each story is different and illustrates the different objections and stumbling blocks that each had to overcome before coming to Christ.

Ljc24Appreciate this perspectiveFascinating conversation in a wonderful format. So interesting and encouraging to hear these stories.
-
rtraburnAptly namedAs a Christian it can be quite disheartening to hear of another Christian losing their faith. It seems those stories are all too common and are given quite a bit of airtime. That is why this podcast is so important; to hear the other side and know that there are reasonable people who see all the same answers to all the same questions and land on the side of Christianity.
-
Forgiveness MarkWell doneWell done. Love the format and the host Jana. Very refreshing to listen to along with understand the atheist mindset, and most importantly, what was their defining moment(s) for conversion.
