My daddy has been a guiding light my whole life and there‘s not much he doesn‘t know, as an entrepreneur for forty-plus years, a husband, a loyal son, and my number one supporter. He has learned lots of life lessons along the way and is here to share them with you. It‘s time to reminisce and reflect on the conversations you‘d like to have with your daddy and learn from mine. I meant to tell you, don’t know if I did or not, had a couple of things going on over here, but I really enjoyed the Scientology episode. Like half of my set is making fun of religion (I went to religious school for 8 years) so I like to hear other perspectives. Great episode.

This podcast is my new favorite

I stumbled upon Reena & her podcast by accident. I was listening to Excelsior Journeys by my friend George, and I accidentally clicked “next” in the middle of listening to another episode. It went to his conversation with Reena and immediately I thought: “who is this woman? What is this podcast? Why didn’t I know about it?” The moment I finished their episode (which taught me SO much about podcasting) I not only sent it to my own co-hosts, I immediately headed to this one. And boy oh boy was I in for a treat! Reena & her dad are such a phenomenal team. I love the concept, the format, the guests - everything about the show. Reena is a fantastic host, who does a wonderful job holding space for her guests. And her dad reminds me so much of my dad 🙌 amazing job and cannot wait to continue following along with this show!

A great listen!

I was drawn to this series via Reena’s interview with the great Jerry Springer and was not disappointed! I love her interview style, she’s able to get the true personalities of her guests to shine through effortlessly. Her dad’s chaser interview is such a great follow up and a unique and welcomed element to an already fun listen. His wisdom is impossible to discount!

My first experience with Reena was over Twitter. I was only semi-intrigued by the topic (just being honest due to my own strained Dad relationships) but chose to search her inventory of stories, secretly hoping to pick up some quality nuggets. The Stephen M.R. Covey was a fascinating find (great Job Reena) and must hear. I immediately knew I fell into something cool and hit play. Covey did not disappoint, nor did Reena’s presentation. He spoke of his Father’s leadership and business principles; which always lent itself to a display of perpetual growth & lifelong learning. Additionally, he spoke to his own sophomoric antics with his nephew that also lead to his personal growth and education by fire. This is one of the most unique shows I've listened to in terms of content and structure. The format is obviously a very cool feature, as the host (Reena) gets her dad to weigh in on each guest's situation at the end of each show. Their bond and dynamic is very touching and heartwarming. Contentwise, Reena is adept at getting the guest to open up and be raw and vulnerable, while keeping it light and breezy. I particularly liked her interview with her fellow podcaster Hector Santisteban. Hector was very candid in discussing challenges with parenting, his relationship with his grandma, and (my favorite), Alexa's tendency to play Wu Tang Clan classics to his infant daughter. It's no small feat to make it to 300 episodes, and with the impressive roster of guests and meaningful discussions under her belt, let's hope Reena's got 300 more up her sleeve!

Engaging interviewer with tough topics

There is a wild spectrum of guests on this podcast who are given a full forum to express their own opinions, experiences and positions on life, social media, anxiety, depression, and even constitutional rights. Reena’s questions are excellent and draw the story out of the guest. Guests have their own confirmation biases and I’m on the fence as to whether she should challenge them or give them their platform freely. I lean toward the latter but think it’s important that this be recognized as entertainment and thought provocation. For instance, strollers aren’t banned in Disney World and after that statement is made with such confidence by her guest, I found the guest’s credibility in jeopardy. But it doesn’t degrade the quality of the show, the willingness to entertain diverse viewpoints and the comforting conclusion with Daddy’s insights at the end. It’s a great overall listen

Such a Great Concept - Love the Daddy Advice

I just love the concept of Reena’s show. We always know what we're gonna get at the end yet stay intrigued about what the full episode might be about. Reena has a great way about staying interested in what her guest is discussing and leans into some of the moments that people might just pass over in regular conversation. I can see why this show has been around so long - quite inspiring. I kinda wish I had my grandmother back so I could create a sibling-version of this show called, “Better Call Mimi” and ask for my grandmother’s advice after the guest’s story. Way to go, Reena! Keep it up!

The concept for this show is special. Reena has a great conversation with her guest and then her Dad weighs in at the end with his thoughts. I was on the show and the ‘surprise’ of hearing what daddy has to say (which is recorded after the guest portion) left me feeling anxious and excited to get ‘the rest of the story’ so to speak.
