Great sports talk

I am new to Bob McCown, but I’ve been a long time admirer of John Shannon. I really appreciate the hockey coverage, and the perspective both hosts bring. I am not a fan of golf per se, but was a bit taken back by your guests legitimizing LIV. The bottom line is a former US president profits from being a host to numerous LIV events, and a number of former politicians/advisors profit as well from Saudi blood money. It’s a web of deception by the Saudi’s who are trying to distance themselves from what they are: a harsh authoritarian society which has attempted to purchase “legitimacy” & “whitewash” their history- 15 of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudis & the killing of a US journalist was sanctioned by MBS (US and foreign intelligence). I like keeping politics out of sports, but in the case of LIV, it’s impossible. Great show tho!

Shannon’s mic and phone sounds

Hard to imagine 2 guys on the air for 4 decades can’t figure out how to not pop a mic over and over and over (Shannon’s mic) and can’t figure out how to turn off their phones. Like, why not do a mic check and why not turn your phones to silent before each recording ? Unreal boomer grandpa energy here. Ruins the pod.

Good content, terrible production.

Enjoy listening to Bob and John but their mics are terrible, internet quality bad, along with frequent typos in the show material. Great show. Just hire someone to do produce it right.

Sportsnet was stupid

This pod proves what many thought when they ended PrimeTime Sports - beware that they don’t come back and compete against you. They have & thanks goodness. McCowan and Shannon have great chemistry and bring an irreverence and insight few others offer, or can provide. There connections and contacts means they can get anyone on- and do. Nice jobs boys The Gibbons interview was amazing - saw his last series in St Pete.

Bob was #1 almost since I was born on radio in Canada. After moving the the US, I subscribed to his radio show in podcast form. Nobody better in sports radio, and he’s killing it on this podcast. Stay golden pony boy.

So nice to be able to hear Bob again. I’ve never been a Toronto sports fan but I’ve always appreciated Bob’s show and style. Only difference now is u get to listen when you want.

Appointment podcasting!

Used to be appointment radio from 4-7 each day. So grateful to have Bob (and John!) back on some semblance of airwaves. We especially need them right now. Can’t wait for this to expand to an hour or more!
