ahthdGreat Podcast! This is a great podcast and is very informative. I just wish it was longer. They seem to just get into a topic and boom, show over. Can we make it longer, ladies?
-
TagMan898Great For Recreational Players!I’ve been listening to Carolyn and Erin for a few years now. Their podcast is absolutely refreshing. They address so many issues, problems and even the humorous side of recreational tennis. I enjoy their humbleness about their own tennis and the guests that they bring in as well. They are easy to listen to and find the topics interesting and informative. Keep up the great work ladies!
-
Boomer Sooner LaneGreat Perspective!I am a 40 plus year teaching professional who has seen it all. It is refreshing to hear the thoughts of recreation players and how they see the game. Very refreshing. Keep us you great work.
-
ClaireCampORelatable Tennis TalkThis podcast is so delightful! I’ve been playing tennis for 3 years (started as a 30 something) and it’s my favorite activity! I appreciate that the hosts share tips about how to improve your tennis game in a very relatable way. If anything, I wish the show was a bit longer. I think 20-30 minutes would be the sweet spot.
-
ArtemisCFPerfect for ALL adult rec playersAs an adult recreational tennis player, I really enjoy this podcast. It fills that gap in my tennis hobby and the topics are ones that actually matter to me (captaining a team, advancing through ratings, odd tennis rules, etc). The episodes are short and easy to listen to whenever and wherever I am so that’s another bonus. Sometimes though I do wish that topics could be longer as there can be a lot to talk about things. Definitely listen if you do any kind of tennis playing.

Former UmpMartina NavratilovaWas notorious for deferring the choice after a toss. She did it when she wasn’t familiar with the chair umpire. She did it to me at the US Open during a legends doubles match. She wanted to test how the umpire would handle the deferment, and the announcement after the player introductions.

Mr. ChewFun show for tennis enthusiasts!I enjoy this show which focuses on recreational players and all things tennis around us! Some of my favorite episodes are the Pet Peeves. The stories and situations are so relatable! You can tell that the hosts would be fun teammates and opponents. They know their stuff while not taking themselves too seriously. Also, to go from 2.5 to 4.0 players at the adult level is very impressive! I will definitely recommend this podcast to my tennis friends!
-

Sylvia from ChicagoLove Second Serve Tennis PodcastGood job Erin and Carolyn hosting and having so many fun topics discussed in the podcast. Your show is hilarious and every recreational ladies league player can relate to the subjects in the podcast. It is so interesting to hear the tennis stories and dramas are so similar no matter which section of the league we are in. I also love that you have guests in your show. I look forward to listening to new episode every week. Sylvia from Chicago

For those who run, walk or drive a lot and need to listen to tennis tips, this is a great pod for you! Carolyn and Erin are fun, you feel like you are talking with your favorite tennis captains while they explain rules, how to handle things that happen on the court and be inspired to improve your game.

melbartoljonesFor the Love of the gameIf you’re a recreational player who loves tennis and laughing, check out this podcast. Erin and Carolyn pose the interesting questions and situations that come up on (and off) the court of USTA tennis. If you thought you were the only one still competing or running into some conundrums, listen in-you’re not alone. And adult tennis is all about the love of the game. This podcast helps share it!
-

dianewernerAwesome PodcastErin & Carolyn do such a great job with their podcasts. They have such interesting topics and their podcasts are packed with such good information. They make each podcast easy to listen to and I find myself looking forward to their next topic!
-
Sam2JabPhenomenal Podcast!!!Carolyn and Erin are wonderful! The topics they cover are wide ranging and informative. I love that each podcast is only 10-15 minutes long but they are able to delve deeply into each topic. It's nice to find a podcast geared toward average players and not pros. I've learned so much... I can't wait to listen to the next one!
-
AbigailgcsSo relatable and helpfulLove your podcast and enjoy picking up some tidbits. Favorite episode so far was the Mental Strategies with Tracy. I’m exactly the same way. I can’t stay as focused and serious with all the chitchat. That’s for afterwards!😊
-
tennisfanmandyCrazy tennis storiesMy favorite episode is the one with crazy tennis stories! We have all been there 😊
-
jgs251Nice jobGood podcast! I like the short format and at my level find something of value with most shows. The equipment series with Mike is helpful. Keep them coming.
-
BigAng66I’m learning so much!I’ve really enjoyed each of the episodes and have learned something new each time. I’m new to adult tennis and trying to get up the nerve to join a team after taking some lessons. This podcast answers so many of my questions and gives me lots of encouragement. I like the short format too. Very well done.
-
tammieoAlways have time to listenWhen I was first introduced to Second Serve, I really wanted to listen but waited until I could ‘carve out’ 30-45 mins of interrupted time in my busy day. I was so pleased to learn they are typically not more than 15 minutes! As a complete beginner, the information is so helpful and relatable! AND funny, now I love listening while I am running so 15 minutes is a non-issue. Great information, great people, great job!! I love it!
-
scnc941Unique and informative! Most tennis podcasts talk about pro athletes. But what about me? Sure, my shot at Wimbledon is probably over, but I’d still like to hear advice about competitive tennis for my level and Second Serve fills that need. The topics are definitely helpful and I learning something new with each episode.
-
ThreeBisonInformative discussions about TennisShort and informative episodes. This is an entertaining podcast that has taught me things about tennis I didn’t know. I played tennis recreationally as a kid growing up, but never competitively so this is really helpful. Thanks!
-
erinedesignGreat tennis podcast for beginners and advanced players!I’ve told all my tennis friends that they HAVE to listen to this podcast!! It’s real info and advice from regular tennis-loving adults like me. Every other tennis podcast seems to be about technique, strategy or interviewing someone that has played their whole lives and are at a level that I will never attain. This podcast is original!
-
mr1010isGreat info - nothing else like itI love this podcast! As a kid, I played tennis with friends and family, not competitively. As an adult, I picked up a tennis racket again after 20 years of not playing at all. It was a bit intimidating to get back into a sport where most people seemed light years ahead of me. This podcast would have been really helpful for me starting out. But even after having played as an adult for a few years, the topics are very informative and helpful. I learn something new each episode! New and experienced players will all benefit from this show! Keep up the good work!!
-
ceprotoSecond ServeThis podcast is great for anyone looking to get involved in adult tennis whether for fun or competitive reasons as it addresses realistic topics that players at all levels can relate to today. Most of the episodes are around 10 min long and are well structured and to the point of each topic.
-
mjwj13Love this podcast....Thanks for this podcast! I began tennis as an adult....this is my 5th year playing. All of the things you’ve discussed so far have been encouraging for me. It’s great to hear discussions about women’s recreational and league tennis that I can relate too.
