jodyslc1Thank you Dr. OsbornI listened to a couple of newer episodes and enjoyed them so much I scrolled to the older episodes. I was so grateful to see your series on cancer. I was diagnosed in July 2022 with stage 3 colon cancer. It has been such a hard time in my life. I appreciate your wisdom on this complicated topic because you know exactly the emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis. Wishing you health and happiness in 2023!

XsmamaNeeded these PodcastsI am struggling with Bipolar II depression, generalized panic disorder and a myriad of physical health problems right now. I can't afford talk therapy on top of all the other doctor bills, even though it's been recommended by my psychiatrist and primary care doctor. I also don't particularly want to medicate myself to deal with the depression and anxiety, I would rather learn coping strategies. That is where this podcast has come in handy for me. It's helping me to understand how to deal with these issues in a more constructive manner, rather than just popping a Xanax. I understand I can't just stop my medications, but at least now I can start to use healthier coping strategies in my daily life and hopefully taper the medication down eventually. Thank you so much Doctor, you are very helpful.

Ambling AlongUseful, interesting, good listeningDr Osborn’s MyCBT podcasts have helped me gain valuable insights I’ve put to use right away, with good results that last. Listening to this podcast is one of the most life-improving activities I do, and a great use of 30 minutes. I’ve learned a lot about how emotions and thoughts work in the mind, and what to do about specific problems, scientifically. Thanks to Dr Osborn for sharing her knowledge and wisdom with everyone.

LuciLockHow did I survive before this podcast??The information Dr Julie gives, all presented in her gentle, warm, but straight talking manner is absolute gold. I’ve been to multiple therapists, most of the specializing in CBT, and none of them have helped me as much as Dr Julie through her podcast. These podcasts are a treasure trove of information and tools for life that all of us Sensitive and Troubled types can benefit from. Thank you, Julie! You’re saving the planet, one person at a time!

Soboredwiththis12This changed my lifeI thought I was doomed to a life of pain, depression, and anxiety. This podcast helped pull me out of a dark hole, and has given me hope that I can stay afloat and maybe even lead a fulfilling and contented life. I believed all of my negative thoughts, and didn’t realize that I deserved to and was capable of thinking positively about myself. I can now appreciate my good qualities, which in turn has lessened my depression and makes me look forward to each day, rather than wishing it would all end.

Calma mamaChick full of tools to use as soon as you likeI am so grateful for this podcast. I’ve worked on and off with different therapists to manage my grief after watching my mom struggle with recurring cancer through my teens and her loss when I was 21. This podcast has great reminders and is full of concrete examples to help you feel like you are not alone nor are you destined to suffer forever. Thank you, Dr Julie, for your sincere belief that we can feel better and that we all deserve to feel at ease in our lives.

Ashley Brooke 85Truly terrificAs a therapist, I have really enjoyed your podcast and the insight you provide. I have found several helpful things to use working with my own clients, and in addition, I have sent your podcast to my son who deals with anxiety. I particularly enjoyed the one you did on using CHT for rumination and really look forward to more about ADHD, for both myself and mr clients. Excellent work.

Core BeliefsMYCBTDr. Osborn’s episode on Core Beliefs is a must listen. I am a colleague of Julie’s, and so I know her personally. I admire how clearly she defines the different aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her episodes and provides such useful narrative and stories to illustrate the points. In her podcast on Core Beliefs, a difficult concept for many of us to understand and use in treatment, Dr. Osborn makes it easy to understand. She uses personal, tender examples from her own life that drew me in, and helped me to see how core beliefs can negatively impact our lives for years, and yet, how a person can examine them, and re-write the narrative, or re-wire the brain, and no longer be subjected to depression or unhealthy habits. Great job Julie! Love it! I’m a fan. Michael Mikulski, LMFT

Sgt.PrestonHow Can I Help?Thank you, Dr. Osborn, for helping us to help others in these crazy times! I have a friend who lives alone, and the pandemic has caused her a lot of fear, so I like to help her when I can. Your recommendation to ask “How can I help?” rather than assuming we know what they need is a great way to support them.

Ric in Fullerton, CaProcrastination solutionGreat advice Dr Julie. The advice you gave on why we procrastinate is because we are overwhelmed. You said to break tasks to three items at a time to complete. Well, I tried it and now I stopped putting things off! Three items at a time is definitely manageable and I find myself feeling more accomplished . Thank you Dr Julie..
