Tale Of The Tapes

0

More than a decade long study, analyzing almost every single rapper ever who was or is in any way note worthy. Each artist is judged based on 5 categories and NONE of them include my opinion in any way (unlike those other lists). Extensive work and research put into this to uncover who is in fact the "best" rapper of all time.

    Okay but could evolve
Concept is dope. Execution is okay. It’s an ambitious podcast but when Big Mike is mentioned without discussing the convicts or his involvement with the geto boys or talking about coolio missing his time with the maad circle it can be maddening. Sound quality and editing is dope but later episodes seem rushed and the ranking is arbitrary. Reading a wiki bio makes it seem like the host is uneducated and as if they don’t have an understanding of the artist. The podcast sounds like someone who likes hip hop but wasn’t immersed in the culture during the time and doesn’t quite get it. Listening to a discography doesn’t make you an expert, and it sounds disingenuous when you’re making a hip hop podcast and have to educate yourself about public enemy. This is where it seems like the host wants to be educational and an expert and leaves you confused because they missed on both points.
