Wondery tends toward melodramatic voice-overs, cliches, and dramatic re-enactments, but when get past the style, there are captivating stories in this series.

Who do I have to talk to about getting more of this podcast!?! It got me through the beginning of the pandemic at work and I need more!

It’s not Justin’s voice that is weird. It sounds like most other podcasts where the narrative is read. It’s the other guy. Creepy voice dude!

These stories were really interesting. Would love to hear another season. The narration was fine, don’t listen to the negative reviews. It’s just a guy telling really interesting, mind boggling, stories.

Well the stories themselves are interesting and engaging, the narrations are stilted and sound as if they’re being read by middle schoolers giving their book reports

One of those movie review channels on YouTube with auto generated voices. Dude, if this was an SCP animation, understandable, but talking about true crime you sound like you’re trying to commit mass homicide as well.

I absolutely love this podcast. The stories captivate me. I love y’all’s voices. Desperately need more stories to listen to on my commute to work.

The description sounded interesting but I just couldn’t get past the guys voice. There’s no emotion. It kinda reminds me of that clear eyes commercial. I just can’t stand to listen to it unfortunately

Great stories with amazing narrators!

This is a great podcast and I love it but if you are reading this and want more episode you have to pay for them.

These guys have done amazing wish to see them make another episode the one about the eleven year old boy in a plane crash is so good and struck me with awe

Captaining is one of many words some could use to describe this podcast. Well thought out and told in a way it’s easy to follow and imagine yourself in each of the stories being told.

I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. The balance between Justin's and Tyler's voices is something that I find soothing, while my mind is deeply entrenched in fascination of the stories that they tell. I am very hopeful for more episodes.

I really enjoyed this, keep checking in to see if they have a episode. Maybe someday.

Only wish they would make more please!

It would seem this podcast has gone the way of some of the people in the stories. What a shame. I’ve found it to be excellent. Maybe it’ll be back one day! I will remain hopeful as only a survivor would.

The storytelling in this podcast is incredible! Listening to each story, I truly felt like I was in the situation and could see it happening. The stories are so gripping, and kept me on the edge of my seat.

This is an excellent podcast! Produced very well and the stories are told in a captivating, easy to listen to way. Very impressed and hope there are many more episodes in the future!

Really liked the podcast until episode 8. That episode was straight garbage. Then...nothing. No more episodes. What happened? This seems to happen with a lot of podcasts. They just stop with no explanation. It’s annoying.

I’ve been getting teary-eyed and slightly goosebumped all morning. Love that they’re short and concise. Thanks for working hard to get new episodes out. They’re a great add to my morning run! (Side note: I was listening to the episode about Deborah Scaling Kiley and the crew of the Trashman yacht, when a quick storm came up and the bottom completely dropped out of the sky, during my run yesterday. Added an entirely different layer of excitement/slight anxiety to their “stranded at sea” tale... what with being soaked to my bones, alone on the trail and the wind howling around my AirPods!) Kudos!

Equal parts thrilling and inspiring. Really hoping to see more episodes soon!

As a podcast junkie I’ve tried MANY podcasts, and this is one of my favorites. Great TRUE storytelling and amazing, gripping adventures. Well done!

I love this podcast and can't wait for more. To the other reviews, please be patient. Justin has multiple podcasts which take time to research and produce. There's plenty of generation why to listen to in the mean time! And no I'm not a friend of his, just a huge fan of his and other crime and deadly podcasts lol.

I’d love to hear more stories!! The fact that there’s even just some truth behind them adds to my captivation. You guys do a great job of grabbing the listeners attention & painting a vivid picture of what’s happening. Keep um coming!

A night respite from true crime.

I love this podcast and am hoping you continue producing despite some of these losers posting poor reviews. These stories, whether they be true or not, keep my mind occupied from the chaos going on in the world today. Keep up the great work boys, these Karen’s can kick rocks.

Episode 8 is a ridiculous waste of time. Really annoyed that show wasted their time on a fake story. I’m unsubscribing and deleting this podcast.

To all you haters if you can’t say something nice or constructive go listen somewhere else. Justin and Tyler you guys got a good thing going here if you ask me... captivating! I enjoy the content and the cadence of your voices! I drive a truck for a living... this is one of my favorite podcasts of many that help get those long miles in for the day! Thank you!

I’d heard many of these stories before and most are amazing, but this version is just flat and lacks all emotion and does not grip the reader. Finally episode 8 has made me abandon this podcast - why post a fake story of survival when so many true stories exist?

I heard the first minutes of episode 8, enough to question the veracity of the journalism behind it.

Great podcast, bad episode 8. Y’all seem to be just two more journalist/podcasters who fell for literally the most unbelievable story of all time. Took me 30 minute of research after the podcast to realize how basically none of that happened. Why waste an episode on that

Could Tyler please tell his part of the story without spacing the words so slowly. The pacing needs to be picked up , it almost sounds like a computer.

Love the podcast. I get it’s nit-picky but the intro and outro pop songs in the first few episodes are honestly terrible and do not match the theme or vibe of the podcast at all.
