Mongoose1011Great information, entertaining and effectiveThese two are a pleasure to listen to. They are passionate about what they do and quite knowledgeable. I’ve lost 37 lbs over 6 months and feel great. They know the science but are not absolutists or fanatical. One of my go to podcasts. Thank you!

SlowMO910Started at the beginningBrand new to consecutive multi day fasting. Still working through the episodes from the beginning. Very motivating and instructive. Happy to have come across this podcast. Very well done through the first 25 episodes.
-
aihpcflGood for beginnersJust subscribed and listening from the beginning. So far I believe this is good information for someone just starting. I have questions, but I expect they will be answered in later episodes. Podcasting at its best.
-
Wood-Style ShinobiAll caught upI started listening to you guys in October 2023, I recently just finished listening to the entire back log. Definitely my favorite fasting based podcast. Keep doing what you’re doing! The one thing I would enjoy to see you guys do would be, interviews with some prominent people in the field of fasting.
-
TiaCyrAmazing podcast!I’ve been listening to The Fasting for Life Podcast for some time and I absolutely love all they have to say. I love that what they say is also backed by research!
-
Best MormorAwesome podcastI have been listening to this podcast for 8 months and have learned so much. I was looking for a way to lose weight that was different than the ways I’ve always tried and failed. A friend suggested I try intermittent and I found this podcast. Dr Scott and Tommy have changed my life. I never thought I could go without food for an extended period of time. I have been proven wrong and have lost 40 pounds since October. This podcast has changed a lot about how I view food and has made losing weight feel easy!!!! This is an excellent podcast with factual, medically sound information that anyone can understand. I highly recommend this podcast.
-
smile4618Loving the podcastLearning a lot each day. And the fact that these podcasts leave us with a handful of things that we can try differently is so helpful. Because each body is different. Thank u so much

HottyToddyTarHeel50 pounds in 3 months!I started my fasting journey on Feb 19th, 2024. I listened to your podcast for the first time in the beginning of February and felt inspired. I had always struggled with my weight and never could stick to diets because I never saw results fast enough to be encouraged. I started with 16:8 and slowly pushed back lunches by 30 minutes until 1 day I looked up and it was 4 pm. I hadn’t eaten and did not want to eat at 4 then again at 7 for dinner. I thought “I wonder if I could make it to dinner?” I made it, a lot easier than I thought. Lots of water and coffee later, I’ve been an “OMADer” for about 2.5 months now and I was a 25 year old 5’10 240 pound man. As of this morning I’m 190 pounds with a goal of 175. I workout every morning, and eat lean meat and veggies every night! Compliments at work keep pouring in and my wife COULD NOT be happier! THANK YOU for awakening my eyes!
-
Laurie N.Thanks for all you do!I’ve been fasting for over a year. I’m trying to get my hubby on board. I’ve been sending him your podcasts. He is starting to ask questions and talking about it more! I hope to get him on board soon! Keep it up.
-
MCPilliMaryaI am so happy I found your podcast and the book The Obesity Code. I couldn’t seem to lose ANY weight at all even though I was doing plenty of training. OMAD is working really well and fits great with my life. Thank you so much. You guys are great!

PM. Dawn6The Tools You Need to SucceedWhen my fasting times/days are hard it’s Dr. Scott and Tommy’s sound advice, strong information and reality based coaching that helps me get through it. Their experience, understanding and support cheers me on and they can also make me laugh which is a welcomed distraction and encourages me to keep going. Thankful that they are generous and share their knowledge so I can adopt new tools to lead my interment fasting lifestyle and have tools to succeed. Thank You Pam

Cpatt07Thank YouHello, I just wanted to take the time to say thank you and to have great discussions about many things that I hold dear to my heart. I’ve been fasting since 2018, using it as a lifestyle tool, with some breaks due to pregnancy and nursing. It’s nice to hear consistent conversations in an area that I’m so passionate about. As a Registered Dietitian, this area of research is still not quite accepted by many of my colleagues. So, it’s nice to have a place where I can listen to like minded individuals who’ve also discovered a better quality of life through the power of fasting. It never gets old, but sometimes I feel somewhat alone in this journey and hearing your show will often reinforce my “whys.” Post pregnancy I feel stronger than ever, even at 40 years old. But it took work and dedication. Heck I even just PRd in a 5k! I attribute much of that to being a part of this community. I enjoy the way the content on your podcast is communicated to the audience. I do have a background in science but I believe you guys do a great job at highlighting the main concepts of research to even those who may not be as versed in the field. Christin, MS, RD

JayCRunnerGreat and Informative ShowI’m not new to fasting but this podcast does a great job of presenting new information or reminding me of things I forgot. Thanks.

RatHole24Life changing but the ads are killing meThis podcast introduced me to fasting and a lot more. For the first time I felt in control of my food and body, and listening to podcasts from the start was so helpful for my questions. Unfortunately the nutrisense ads that are apart of every episode are brutal. It’s twice an episode but there’s no clear “now, an ad”. You’ll figure it out when you think you’re going crazy listening to this pitch yet again. I want these guys to get paid for their work but there has got to be a better way. I’ll keep listening and doing my best to skip the ads. Just hit my longest fast ever and still going.
-
MGLukacsGreat content / Tiring nutrisense adI learn something from every episode. I enjoy how the hosts contribute their perspectives. They make complicated topics easy to understand. I look forward to the new release each week. The only negative is the interruption with the long nutrisense ad which makes the episodes much longer and disrupts the flow of the discussion. I can speed through it but it is so long winded and ignores the fact that the cost is unreal. You must know how unaffordable it is.
-
lsmith6520Expand PleaseI loved your podcasts when I first started my fasting journey. The more I listen it feels like you are an extended commercial for Nutrisense. You both have great tips and tricks for fasting and fasting days etc, but have you thought about interviewing other fasting experts for various opinions and to bring more ideas and value to your audience? It feels like you are leaving out the whole female population, we have different hormones and having some experts on to discuss fasting and hormones, the 25 year old woman fasting vs the 45 year old woman fasting are two very different things. More in depth conversations about proper foods to eat to break a fast, (broth, adding back in probiotic and prebiotic foods to break your fast). It just feels like you two have so much more to give!
-
ViVi T1210Too many ads!!I have listened to every single episode. For your first 150 episodes, I would’ve said that you were five out of five stars, hands-down no questions to ask. Over the last several months I can’t get past the constant long ad about sponsors. I appreciate your content. I appreciate you guys. You guys have helped me greatly through my weight loss journey however, I think you need to somehow restructure how you do your advertisements. I’m finding myself not wanting to listen to you because your shows 30 minutes long and 10 minutes of it are ads.
-
Bdg122913Excellent Podcast and So Much MoreI have loved the podcast for 2 years but I finally joined a challenge in January and it completed transformed my understanding. I had such a great experience that I added coaching and I am enjoying the process. The podcast is so well done and accessible, making it easy to get started and they provide many free resources to support the journey. These guys really care that their audience finds success.
-
Mef679834These guys produce results! After listening to all episodes I felt comfortable fasting but wasn’t getting much movement on the scale (or movement was too slow) so I signed up to do a challenge and bam the weight started falling off (after years of struggling with weight loss). It’s the best decision I’ve ever made in myself! I only wish I would’ve done a challenge sooner. My husband has had an easier time with the weight loss so from listening to this podcast he was able to drop 50 lbs and has kept it off for over a year. He has also had several other health benefits as a result of clean eating and omad fasting. He used to have chronic and advanced psoriasis on both shins and could never even wear shorts in the summer; that has completely resolved. He also used to have to wear compression stockings on both legs due to a past injury and blood clot and now goes throughout each day with NO stockings and no ankle swelling like what used to plague him. I’m down 20 lbs and 1/3 of the way to my goal. We both feel so much better, improved mood and energy levels are like I felt 20 years ago. I can’t thank Scott and Tommy enough for the benefits that my family and I are receiving!
-
rabbithillfarmGpa Roy down 60I have omad fasting for several years. My weight has slowly gone from 329 pounds to 270 pounds. I do CrossFit workouts daily and expect to lose another 70 pounds. I am enjoying your pod casts and am inspired by your discussions. Thanks for doing what you do for us! Gpa Roy

Faster than I thought!!!Fasting has changed my lifeGood morning gentlemen, in the beginning of 2024. My name is Lawrence and I have been fasting for about three years now but nothing like the way that U2 have shown fasting my fast were 16 eight nothing long-term, nothing consistent, and the results of that is nothing worked but since I have found your show things have changed dramatically. I am currently down30 pounds from November to right now I have been a diabetic since 2000 and have never been able to control it, I’ve tried every diet on the market. At least I think I have and there’s always that rubber band effect that happens. I used to tell myself. What am I doing wrong? What am I doing wrong? I used to work out a lot but when I hit the cheesecake stack, everything reversed on meuntil this podcast. Now I have structure I have guidance I know what direction to go. I am currently doing a three day fast into a 16 eight into a 24 and then moderate weekend warrior. all seems to be working well even when I break my goal fast early, there’s no guilt involved being that I know the next steps of what I should do. I cheat all the time on my fast and I still get the success that I’m looking for thank you very much gentlemen I really appreciate, your ongoing progress and your own fasting journeys to encourage and to help me in my fasting journey. Keep up the good work. PS what does it mean when you say throwing the baby out with the bathwater? Does that mean starting over again? Also, I want to join your next seven day challenge but I’m wondering since I’m already doing well is it gonna benefit me by introducing me to a close Nick community do you have meal plans preps and other things like that to keep me consistently going just wondering. Anyways, cheers to fasting

Service travel1st 72hr FastI did my first 72hr fast after dabbling with intermittent fasting. Didn’t research prior, got a little nervous at times but strangely enough my body told me what it needed. I was surprised at how easy it was. Too many myths and fears around it. I stopped drinking a day prior, the cold sweat withdrawal night was worse than this. Each day got easier. I graved pickle juice which I heard later on this program, it really helped. I’ll buy the electrolytes for next time. I did it to reset my gut, cravings, alcohol abuse, sever inflammation, rashes and blotting reaction every time I eat. Bonus, I lost 10 lbs in 3 days.

Ed (Jacksonville, FL)Long-Haul International Travel + FastingWonderful Podcast! Scott & Tommy, you do an excellent job with this topic. There ae so many podcasts on Fasting - this is by far the best. These guys cleary put in the work to ensure they deliver a clear and concise product - much appreciated! Comment: I travel long-haul for work and recently made a trip from the US to South Africa. A few months back, I started the Fasting Lifestyle, so I decided I would Fast from door-to-door, (my house to the hotel in RSA) so on the 40+ hour journey - just water, black coffee and a few LMNT packets until I got to the hotel and had a nice dinner, mainly salad and water. This worked extremely well, with minimal jetlag, no intestinal issues (which happens to a lot of people in intl. travel), mental clarity at meetings and so on. Also, continued with OMAD and some 16:8 Fasting the entire trip. So, this all made a huge differe for me, plus I even lost a few more pounds on the trip! I found this to be very easy and not eating any airline/airport food - huge plus!!

MosaicMikeThis podcast Has been my guide to healthI was struggling. Overweight and sick. Major digestive issues. Doctors wanted to prescribe medication. I decided that perhaps there is a way to let my body walk the path to health. I started fasting with the guidance of this podcast. I cut out sugar, carbs, alcohol, and caffeine. (I know, harsh but cold turkey is how I roll). I am down 45 pounds and ALL symptoms have abated. (15 more to go). I have started road biking again as well. Life is better. Thanks guys for your clarity. Question: I travel for work a lot. Client dinners and cocktail receptions. Advice here? I come back 5 pounds heavier after each trip and then work it back off. Strategies for having to deal with that component of my job?

The Remodeled HomemakerFinally, this is working!I have fasted on and off for a few years, never regularly until listening to this podcast. For 5 years I’ve been carrying around about 40 extra pounds… I’ve tried everything and always struggled with consistency. OMAD has been the answer for me. It’s so simple that when I lost the first 20 lbs I could hardly believe it. No exercise & some diet changes. I know I’ll lose the next 20 lbs now as I am going to start including workouts and make some more diet changes. This is the first time I’ve ever believed I really will lose the weight. Thank you guys for all your hard work! The knowledge of what this can do for my health, beyond just weight loss, is enough to motivate me to keep going.
-
Irisch123stats are niceI love the facts they are talking stats not opinions on this episode. I just started IF. Gave up my evening snack and finally my evening meal is better digested. No heartburn and maintaining my weight as I don't want to loose weight.
-
CDH1959So much encouragementI love listening to Dr. Scott and Tommy because they have lived the way if life. They are encouraging and knowledgeable. Keep it up guys!

B_Rad_1792Best fasting Podcast out there!Love this Podcast! Content and format are truly exceptional. Look forward to the new weekly episodes, pertinent insights, and timely motivation. Discovered ketosis and fasting in 2019 and dropped 80lbs in about 6 months. However, gained most of it back during the pandemic due to daily drinking and tendency to binge eat carbs when intoxicated. Earlier this summer, I made the decision to quit drinking bc I no longer liked the way it made me feel/behave. I feel very fortunate to have broken out of that cycle given my 40 history of alcohol abuse and countless blackouts; should’ve been diagnosed with alcoholism years ago if being honest. Anyway, I’m in a very healthy headspace nowadays and back into the fasting lifestyle. Usually start my week off with a 68 or 92 hr fast and close out the week with ADF. Love the freedom and common sense approach to this lifestyle and am very appreciative of this Podcast. Thanks for everything you guys! ~Brad

59 and doneNew to fastingI’m loving the technical breakdown of information on this podcast. I’ve been doing IF for 7 weeks and am learning all I can. I have tried a fast beyond 24 hours as yet but I’ve lost 14 lbs and enjoying the journey. Thanks for all you do!
-
Tesa S.Great Podcast!I started listening to you podcast in February. I started at the beginning to gain an overall understanding of your fasting info. I am 70 years old and in good health. I exercise 6 days a week including pilates, weight training and long brisk walks. I weigh 145, am a size 8 still (vanity check!) and, per my doctor, all my blood work shows good health. I am the cook in our home and I’ve always gone for the lean protein plus veggies and salad. With a pesky bout of cancer last year (all good now) I had to give up my HRT. Menopause has not been kind to my waistline so I did start your podcast looking for a way to lose some weight but soon learned that your program gives me much more strategic information. Liver health is so important and that’s what keeps me listening and moving forward with that info. I find that fasting 20/4 works best for me. Although I have lost only a few pounds, my clothes do fit differently for the better. And listening regularly to you helps to keep my good choices at the front of my brain. I do want to point out that we older women deal with menopause and, more recently, I found that I had lost 1 1/4 inch in height. So my abdominal area was a bit larger although I weighed the same as the previous 2 years. Definitely not fair, but it’s life. So keep up the good work and research, please! Your podcast are for everyone, not just for diabetics or weight loss!
-
NSellers!Real life podcast!Episode 197 was like you were reading my current fasting life story! Too much stuff being added to my morning coffee….too big of a nutrition window all of this after I had achieved great success! Went from 237 lbs on May 9, 2022 to currently 180 lbs today. Long story short….snapped me right back into my fasting mode that has led me to better health. Never miss an episode on my morning walks! Keep up the great work! You’re much appreciated!

Angiebangie79Finally some consistent useful informationStill after almost two years of listening to this podcast I am still learning new things. I cannot imagine my life without this podcast. Thank you!

Mimi G 846Finally! Something worked 🥲I am leaving a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️review not because you asked for it but because this program actually worked. For the first time since 2019 after Noom, WW, 21 Day Fix, counting macros, running every day; just so much that drained me physically, emotionally, mentally, and I just had no energy, I finally dropped below 140 and am getting very close to my goal weight. The first time I listened to this podcast the lightbulb went on. I kept asking myself how have I always been at my goal weight effortlessly my whole life? and after going from 125 pounds to 147 pounds during the pandemic I could not crack the code, how did I do it? After listening to this podcast I was like lightbulb FASTING without even knowing it I fasted my whole life unintentionally. I started binging this podcast and started fasting (20/4 then 24, 48, and 72) when I stepped on the scale for the first time in 3 years I was under 140 and I am very close to being 125 pounds after 8 weeks. I did not cut anything from my diet or over exercise, all I did was fast and focus on the nutrition my body needed during my windows. I’m about to have my first doctor appointment where I get to step on the scale and not have that questionable eye brow raise from my doctor, I cannot wait! Thank you for your podcast, for sharing, dumbing this down so I could understand, research, and all the tips! You helped me change my lifestyle and I am a Fasting for Lifer! P.S. Rule #3 needs to be no talking about food while fasting, my husband always wants to talk about what we are going to eat after we break our fast and I’m just thinking lord just get me through this fast. Mimi G

Bigfamily!!Great podcastI just found this a few weeks ago. I love how they go into all the health benefits not just weight loss and break down the science into normy speak. I’ve been dabbling in IF for the last 2 years and I think I’ve finally found my stride. I was on the brink of giving up on IF again after a month because I was tired , hungry, grumpy and starting to binge. Then I heard about fasting clean. I gave up cream in my coffee , flavored la croix and bulletproof coffee as a last ditch effort. I can’t tell you what a difference it made. Yesterday my fast was scheduled to end at 2 pm and I was NOT HUNGRY so I went another 2 hours. And still I wasn’t starving but wanted to eat with my family. I had been making goodies all afternoon and had no desire to nosh while I was cooking. Unheard of! My mood is improved. I have more energy. I haven’t reached euphoria yet but I’m on the lookout for it. I hope you guys will do a podcast on the benefits on the clean fast. Or maybe you have and I just haven’t gotten to it yet. Anyway, if anyone else is struggling with IF please try fasting clean for a few weeks and see what happens! I know these guys don’t push the clean fast but I just wanted to help anyone else that’s struggling. :)

JLangford2Light at the End of the Cancer TunnelI found your podcast after reading The Obesity Code and The Cancer Code (thank you Dr. Fung) while searching for something my husband would agree to listen to. But you immediately became MY go-to, every episode podcast of choice. Plain-spoken, always informative and relatable especially with the occasional “y’all” thrown in. Breast cancer treatment with estrogen blockers WRECKED every system in my body. The only thing that has combatted the upheaval has been controlling the production of insulin and letting my body do what it was created to do without interference from carbs, sugar and insulin. The weight-loss struggle is daunting, but your encouragement and experience give me hope. Keep those podcasts coming! 5🌟

Marilyn558FastingLove your podcast you get to the point and don’t spend too much time on other things.

😡👍🙋♂️Always the chubby girlI binge watched this show for a month during my commute. I have been over weight since I was a child. Grew up with a over weight family so as a adult I tried so hard to get it off. I tried eat less move more two snacks and a meal and it made me so much more hungry. Started skipping breakfast seen scale a little bit move but failed so tried weight watchers keto everything basically sometimes I’d loose without trying but it was because I was busy with kids so forgot to eat. This is the first time I intentionally tracked, tried and it’s working slowly. Omad is so easy for me cuz I’m a occupational therapist assistant who travels for home health so I’m busy all day and prefer not to stop for lunch and no get paid for it. I have three kids at home and a husband. So I cook every night. I seen like a half a pound a week come off but that’s it. Kept listening to you guys continued to learn started July 15 at 176 finished the podcast July 17th from episode 1 down 169. Win! 19 more pounds to my goal weight! 10 pounds to the never before seen weight! You guys keep me motivated love all the studies you explain how everything is broken down and love that you experienced it first and our helping so many people. I may binge again until the upcoming challenge. I want a nutra system too but have to wait school clothes first lol. Plus I want to see what I can get out of the challenge. I’m addicted to the podcast and addicted to fasting. I’m gona shoot for more 46 hours 2x a week seems to be my sweet spot. Let’s see what next month brings! Keep doing what your doing!!!
-
CakentJust Wow!I’m so enjoying your podcast. I began my fasting journey 2 months ago when a friend shared a YouTube video from Dr Pradip Jamnadas. I listened to it, and then we met and discussed the science (she has a PhD in Nursing and Research). Following that she and I scheduled a 3 day fast 2 weeks from that conversation. During the 2 weeks I cleaned up my diet, eliminating all processed foods. The 3-day fast was a breeze. Following that I was hungry for more information, and that’s when I found this podcast. It has been so helpful with staying motivated and understanding how to make fasting a part of my life. I also read Fast, Feast, Repeat and the Diabetic Code. Next is the Complete Guide to Fasting. (I like to read) Since beginning on 30 June (today is 3 August) I am down 16lbs. Some history. I’m 59, started at 192, gained the weight after retiring from the military 11 years ago and becoming copper poisoned (long story). Like you’ve I’ve tried everything with no success and have spent lots of $$ doing it. I had no blood markers from insulin resistance; however, after wearing a CGM for a couple of months, I definitely have insulin resistance. My DNA also makes me predisposed to type 2 Diabetes. I just finished my second 3-day fast which was easier than my first. I did have a blood sugar issue at the 80hr point (midnight of 3rd night) when my levels fell into the high 50s and low 60s and stayed there until morning. (normal fasting 80s to low 70s) I broke the fast as soon as I woke because I have never experienced numbers this low. What happened? Should I not do a 3-day fast again for a while? Thanks again for all the great information and advice. You guys are the best!

Sunshine in ABQFFL Podcast Leaders Dr Scott & Tommy Are Changing Lives! What can I say, I have done everything to lose weight and try to maintain the loss, failing each time…WW, Jenny Craig, Nutrition Counselors, Overexercised, phentermine even…BUT after listening to 100 episodes of this podcast, and losing 25 pds over the last 10 months, I know this way is my freedom to getting off the diet ferris wheel. Thank you Dr Scott & Tommy for changing my life for the better, 10 more pds to go & I’m sticking to FFL as my lifelong plan.
-
Rebbyreb99Excellent info!!I love this Podcast!! I have learned so much from the both of you. I can not find if you ever did an episode with a question on if you only do OMAD which I do, how to make sure you are getting enough protein!! I get people all the time who tell me I may not be getting the right amount if I continue OMAD for maintenance.
-
TobyjefeSo MANY saved episodes!!!I started listening in June as I really started to understand and gain knowledge on this lifestyle. I almost wrote diet, but I have tried just about everything under the sun to lose the weight I have been carrying around for far too long. I have lost weight with every diet I have tried. KEEPING it off has always been the problem. So much time has been spent losing the weight but once I got there or started feeling good about myself (can only be militant about my restrictive non sustainable methods for so long) I would start to eat again without a plan that I would gain it back or more. I loved your explanations about "eat less move more" and how it didn't work for you both. I felt a camaraderie with Dr Scott and Tommy, even though I wasn't a power lifter, but I have always been the big boned, fat kid. I am super pumped to be doing the challenge next week and the Facebook page has tons of info and is active! I have had lots of early success as I have been ramping up my fasting muscle. I have been working on my end game while losing weight. I feel for the first time I will have control once I get to where I am going so I too can be part of the 5% that keeps it off! My journey will get more exciting next year as I am planning to open a restaurant, I am a chef, so I will need to get "MY PLAN" to be second nature to maintain and continue. Ps Scott I can help you figure pan roasted salmon!
-
Cynmej5Best fasting podcastI just started listening to you guys in May of this year and I can’t believe how much I have learned from the podcast. I have been fasting since August 2022 with minimal results but with the help of the podcast and then the challenge I am finally seeing some results. The podcast isn’t just informative but extremely entertaining. I appreciate all the hard work you guys put into it. I thought I knew a lot about fasting but I have learned so much more.
-
Marcelocello11345Most comprehensive fasting research and podcastI’ve been fasting for years using a 16:8 and not seeing results, but it does help with maintenance and I don’t have much weight to lose. This podcast helped me understand fasting on a much deeper level and understand how to get better results and also learned so much about the health benefits! My question that I can’t find an answer to yet is how do you meet nutritional needs in OMAD?? Thanks so much. Julie P
-
StillMarriedSolid SupportI listen to many health-related podcasts but this is far and away the best I’ve found on the fasting lifestyle. Serious science conveyed conversationally and honest talk about how fasting does and doesn’t work in the real world. Highly recommend for anyone who would like to enjoy the long term benefits of a fasting lifestyle and would like solid information delivered in easily digestible, bite-sized chunks.
-
hinotccc☺️This podcast keeps me motivated and focused!I’m so grateful for finding this podcast! I’m a week in and lost 5 lbs, it’s so motivating to keep living this new lifestyle! Thank you both for sharing your wisdom with us!
