    Thank you!
This podcast has elevated my ability to analyze, enjoy, and get revelation from the scriptures. Every time I’ve listened it’s been worthwhile, no question.

    Great podcast
This is a great podcast which has augmented my study of the scriptures.

You’ve helped me find my Savior in the scriptures!
I want to sincerely thank you for producing this podcast every week. I listen while walking and you excite me so much about the chapters we’re studying! Please help! What episode is it that David talks about the orange grove in California, the oranges being “gift wrapped” from God and that they even come “pre sliced”??? I want to share that with my daughters! Thanks!

    My Favorite CFM Podcast
My family and I started with Don’t Miss This the last bit of the New Testament. We have loved David and Emily throughout the Pandemic year, and have continued to enjoy now that Grace is here. People who love the scriptures teaching them has been a gift to us. You all are doing great things for the Lord. Thanks so much x 3 from AZ.

This podcast has changed my life
I found David and Emily during the pandemic and now since Grace has joined, I love it EVEN MORE! She brings such a youthful perspective that I need as an adult! These 3 have helped me so much with the way I read my scriptures and taught me how to strengthen my relationship with my Savior and God. Thank you for all the work you do- it is changing lives for the better. I will never be able to thank you enough.

    Absolutely Incredible!
I have been a die hard fan since your Jacob 5 lesson in 2020. This podcast has been life changing for me, especially in 2020 when church wasn’t an option, this was my gospel doctrine learning. It saved me! It’s literally the only podcast I listen to consistently. I LOVE every minute of it. I love David’s insights, Emily’s and now Grace’s. She brings a more youthful perspective but we need the rising generation! I love it all. I listen every week as I do the laundry. Now laundry is my favorite chore, and that is seriously saying something!! Please never stop and know that for every negative comment, there are 10 people like me who just haven’t written their undying praises for the podcast yet.

    Can’t do it
Ever since Grace came on I just can’t do it. Sorry.

    Great, sound doctrine
Grace is hyperbole. She is so dramatic and takes her license to expound. Honestly I wish for more doctrine. David is great. Also Grace is louder and David is quieter so I have to switch the volume constantly.

Wish it was my Gospel Doctrine Class
Have been listening/watching since 2020. Great podcast with amazing insights and focus on the scriptures - so amazed at the negativity in some of the reviews. Not following the manual or using Church distribution materials? I’ve sat through countless Gospel Doctrine classes and Fast & Testimony meetings where zero scriptures are read and people are just spouting off their own experiences and interpretations that have very little basis in the scriptures or doctrine — that is not this podcast. Grace brings a fun, youthful energy and perspective to this podcast. David and Grace have a genuine, infectious love for our Savior and the scriptures, and I appreciate the thought and care they put into these lessons. It’s easy to be critical typing on a screen and forget these are actual individuals. It’s a free resource (but yes you can buy other materials). “Just as God rejoices when we persevere, He is disappointed if we do not recognize that others are trying too. Our dear friend Thoba shared how she learned this lesson from her mother, Julia. Julia and Thoba were among the early black converts in South Africa. After the apartheid regime ended, black and white members of the Church were permitted to attend church together. For many, the equality of interaction between the races was new and challenging. One time, as Julia and Thoba attended church, they felt they were treated less than kindly by some white members. As they left, Thoba complained bitterly to her mother. Julia listened calmly until Thoba had vented her frustration. Then Julia said, ‘Oh, Thoba, the Church is like a big hospital, and we are all sick in our own way. We come to church to be helped.’” - “Latter-day Saints Keep on Trying”

    Not into podcasts
but I love this one and look forward to it each week. It’s been a great addition to my own study! Keep up the good work! And to those with their judgy comments, I bet you’re the same people who tear apart someone’s talk or lesson on Sunday. Perhaps a revisit of Uchtdorf’s talk “Stop It” should be in your study.

    I miss Emily
Don’t get me wrong, some of Graces insights have been very helpful but as a show for adults, it feels geared toward high schoolers since the switch. Dave seems to do 30% or less of the talking and I really miss an adult perspective, a parenting perspective, a mothering perspective on gospel living and teaching. And it’s been said before but I “actually” can’t listen to that word being said so often. I hope they can find a better rhythm soon because as a young working mom with little time for deep scripture study, this podcast has been my worship direction for the past 4 years. I will be so sad to lose it.

    Beautiful podcast!
I absolutely love this podcast. There have been times that life has been throwing negativity my way, and when I read a scripture and then turn on this podcast, I instantly start to feel better. It re-centers me on what is important in life and helps the negative distractions fade away. Thank you for promoting the most important parts of life. All the hosts are fantastic and have a fun style with their message. You can tell they really care and have a lot of passion behind their words. I like how they share the academic side with different references to languages, bibles, and cultures. I was nervous that when Grace joined that the show would change, but it has only enhanced the quality of the podcast. I love her style and how she describes the message. It’s inspiring to see that a younger generation can be just as excited about God. It gives me a lot of hope for the future. Thank you all for the time, effort, and resources you put into this show! Please keep up your perseverance and love!

    Wonderful insights
Ok I read through some of the reviews and some people are very offended and say they need to follow the manual. So here’s my understanding I believe the come follow me manual leaves many topics very open to discussion and personal revelation. From my understanding that’s what the prophet is encouraging us to do, he wants us to receive personal revelation because just reading and being told what to do is not going to keep us engaged in the church or bring salvation. Not once have David, Emily, or Grace said that they are prophets, they are however happy to say they are disciples of Jesus Christ who love studying the scriptures and sharing with the world what they got out of it. It’s amazing to hear several insights of other human beings feelings and what they get out of studying, I think it’s pretty special and it helps me dive a little deeper into my studying, I’m thinking ok someone else thought this about the verses and this is what I think …. At the end of the day I know Christ and our Heavenly Father loves us and I love listening to this podcast because I feel like it always comes back to Christ’s love which is in my opinion the most amazing gift and the center of what life should be. Great job keeping us engaged and sharing your love of the gospel ❤️

    Thank you…
Grace, thank you for heeding the feedback on “cute” and “actually”. I can hear you trying and you are delightful. I really enjoyed the last two podcasts and I’ve started following along again. Bless you guys!

    Just what I need
The enthusiasm is infectious. The focus on seeing Christ in our own stories and in building relationship with the divine is exactly what I need each and every week.
  • 546841686
    Actually, please no more cute
Please, Grace, lose the “cute”. No. Not cute. I’ve watched/listened to Don’t Miss This for years, but I am nearly done. Too much “cute”. Also too much “actually”. Please STOP. Expand your vocabulary.
  • duckyputter
    Still Emily???
Maybe it’s time to give Grace her due credit and change the intro (and outro) by replacing Emily with her amazing daughter. Just my two cents.

    Wanted to like it…but I just can’t
Never left a podcast review before. I was really hoping this podcast would be a good supplement to my weekly come follow me study. I just can’t get into it. I really hate that the host says that things are cute. Seriously? It’s not cute that Nephi did this or that. The use of that word detracts from what the scriptures are. Actually…actually…it’s so cute…actually…. Just no. I also don’t love how the hosts are taking their own interpretation of things and running with it. Very presumptuous that they talk about how people in the scriptures feel or react without reading it there, actually. It’s not cute. Just use your Come Follow Me manual or resources from Church Distribution. THAT is the cutest thing you could do, actually.

    Actually & Cute
I love you guys but the "actually and cute" is sooo distracting...
  • Rachelaletta
    I like it!
Great insight. Wish cute and actually wasn’t used as much. Takes away from the message for me.
  • jenballen1
Love the content, but get distracted
I love you content, but I’m so distracted by the words “actually and cute!” I can’t get passed it. I will still continue to listen, I’ll just have to practice patients.

    Life changing
I found the Don't Miss This study guide at Deseret Book at a time when I knew I needed God in my life, but was so overwhelmed with the needs of a large family, I wasn't meeting my own needs in actively keeping a relationship with my Savior. I bought the study guide, brought it home, and realized there was a podcast and YouTube channel. I listened to the podcast while I got ready for bed and for the day a least a couple of days a week. I think it was the miracle that saved me and brought the spirit back into my life when I didn't know how to make room for scripture study on my own. You have helped me remember the kind of God that works in my life, helped me remember what it is to feel the spirit each day, given me hope when I was stuck, and inspired me to start studying on my own. Thank you for the time, effort, and love that you put here. You are gathering, you are giving hope, you are sharing the Savior, you are meeting needs, and I'm grateful!

    Love this
I have listened to this podcast every week since it first came out. I love it so much! It is so spiritual and really helps me understand the scriptures more.

    Good but…
I love the points that get made I just feel like they are trying to hard to be funny and then I feel like the spirt of it just drops off.

    Community of Faith
I know this is a podcast I can turn to for light that makes space for the jagged edges and nuances of life. Thank you for the ways you choose to build relationship with Christ and with those of us living in the community of faith!

    “Actually “
This used to be my favorite church podcast. I recommended it to everyone. Now I can hardly listen to it. The word “actually” “cute” and “all of a sudden” is used SO many times that it has ruined the podcast for me. I’ve tried so hard to ignore it and get past it, but I simply can’t! It is so distracting. It’s all I can do to listen to the whole hour anymore. I’ll be taking a break.

    Increases My Understanding
I really enjoy this podcast because it helps me understand the setting and background of the scriptures which adds immensely to my understanding of the scriptures. I enjoy the insights shared by John and Hank and the guests they invite to be on the podcast.
  • jenoneal2013
    Actually?
I love the insights from David and Grace but the word “actually” is used so much as a sentence filler I find myself counting them instead of listening to the content. I hesitated to say anything because I really don’t want to hurt any feelings but it’s so distracting. Otherwise this podcast is great!

    Focuses on Jesus
Wonderful resource. Love the show and the faith, generosity, and love of God and Jesus that the hosts teach and preach. So good. In all honesty, though, I’ll be taking a break because all my silly little brain can hear for some reason is the word “actually” 😂 and I can’t seem to get past that. Not trying to be critical, just my own listening experience. I’ll probably be back? 😆 Grateful for the good people who provide resources like this to enrich our gospel study!

    Awesome!!!!!!!
I know I have just been two Podcasts in, but I absolutely love it. I find it easier to find the spirit at Church when I listen to this. Thank you David and Grace!!! 😁😁😉

Lately you two have gotten into off topic laughter and giggles quite often. Also, Butler’s comment of Paul having a “crush” on Jesus was a bit disrespectful to both Paul and the Lord. Sorry, it’s lost some of the reverence of studying the scriptures with you. 😞

Easy to connect as a young person
My mom sends me religious podcasts all the time and this is the only one that I connect with as a younger person. Love these people!

    Just love!
I started listening to this podcast a few years ago when I was first called as a seminary teacher. I love both of David and Emily so much! They're powerful testimonies, their evident love for the Lord and hope to bring joy to others spills over in these podcasts. I've been listening for years, but felt inspired to write today as I was listening to Grace now that she's filling your spot Emily. I respect you in a whole other way Emily's, because what an amazing mom you must have been to raise this amazing daughter! My 13-year-old daughter peaked over my shoulder and said wow, she's really good (speaking of Grace) when I was listening yesterday. Grace has some familiar mannerisms and ways of speaking that are reminiscent of you, and make me smile every time. And Way to go, Grace! I am so impressed by your confidence in jumping in here, I'm grateful I get to continue to love this podcast as your mom goes forth to serve!! And I got to see David at timeout for women this summer, highlight!!!! You guys are the best!
  • Sarahsssssss
Highlight of the week, if you can get past how they talk.
Updated: I was reluctant to listen to this podcast at first. I do find the hosts a little cheesy and their accents and ways of speaking make it hard for me to listen to. (Esp how Grace never finishes the ends of her words- Utah accent barf, or how everything is “cute” or “fun” or “almost” or “actually…”). BUT!! I keep listening because the content is good. I love how in every episode they focus on how each story, principle, or idea can bring us closer to Christ. It always points back to Christ. I always end the podcast feeling uplifted, pondering a new idea or perspective, and desiring to live my life closer to God. Thank you, Emily and David (and now Grace), for bringing light to your listeners!

    Truth
Helping us all to see the gospel of Jesus Christ for what it is — the good news! This podcast has sent waves through the church, in the best way possible, for how we view and practice our religion.

    Great supplement to personal study
I enjoy hearing their take and input on the curriculum studied in the Come Follow Me program. I do listen to them at 2X speed though 😆
  • Janessaktaylor
    Awesome
I’m super disappointed that the family proclamation episode wasn’t even about the proclamation. This podcast waters down the gospel in a big way. We need to preach truth!! What is Emily and David’s focus? Being liked? Being adored? Or teaching truth. Very unfortunate.
  • smashinash17
    Love this!!
David and Emily make it so easy to understand the scriptures. I look forward to learning from them every week.
  • NellyMo10
    Love this podcast!!
This is how I start my week of right! It gives me a really good overview of what I’ll be reading in the scriptures—and it gives me a good spiritual boost for the day. David and Emily share great stories and insight. Soak it all in—you really don’t want to miss this!
