TonyAttorneyMost informative and entertaining wine podcast I follow. This his by far the best balance between information and entertainment for a wine podcast. I’ve leaned a lot while being entertained.
-
Meg@7Thank you!!I am in the very beginning stages of studying for my Somm certification and I have been absolutely loving the podcasts and signed up for the SommTV. I was wondering if you have done a Cork episode (sourcing, making, history, synthetic, screw top etc.) Keep up the great work and congrats on the James Beard!

Pod LoveShow KillerJason Wise.

Jagron11Very EntertainingLove the podcast and SommTV. Please keep bringing crossovers from sports and entertainment. I enjoy that they aren’t uptight and pretentious about the wine. Great job and keep it up!
-
Wino000Thank you!Love this station. I am a Tasting Room Associate at McConnell Estate Winery in Elk Grove, CA. I find this station very helpful in what I say in the tasting room.
-
A. FofanahPhenomThis show is the phenom of wine (and most spirits) podcast. I don’t hand those out lightly.
-
MBlattySuper EntertainingAlways worth a listen and a few good laughs…

ceeechangeCulturally and politically uninformed and insensitiveUnbelievably one of your top 3 wines of 2022 was a highly controversial Psagot Merlot being produced illegally on occupied Palestinian land. Even the Isaeli govt condemned the takeover of private Palestinian land by Israeli settlers to produce this wine. The image of Claire Coppi riding around thoughtlessly in the owner’s Corvette is sad, uninformed and speaks to the lack of research done for this show. Take a page out of Anthony Bourdain’s playbook when visiting highly disputed areas such as the Middle East.

D-Rob61Great podcast!I love listening to these podcasts while on my commute! Thanks for making the drive that much more enjoyable.

Ebeebs13Interview PrepJason! Please spend some time on interview prep. Instead of asking the same question three times ask it once and give the guest an opportunity to answer it before injecting what you consider to be a funny comment or just simply interrupting. As listeners we should hear more from a guest vs the interviewer. There’s no need to bring humor to EVERYTHING. It’s awkward to listen to. Especially when a guests laughs along with you to be a good sport. Consider that your guests might want to be taken a bit more seriously, or the topic being discussed anyway. I love SOMM TV but this podcast needs some work.
-
@finewinefanA must listenGreat podcast for all us wine lovers. Thank you for continuing to do these. Also love SOMM TV.
-
exit225Great Podcast!Really good conversations, I love the host.

FLXWineWas better before all of the basketballSommTV the streaming service is great. Podcast has gone stale lately.
-
Sadly, just terrible...Just subscribe… just do it.Love this podcast and find myself listening to each one several times. Love the depth of knowledge balanced with the fun and “we take this seriously but we don’t take ourselves super seriously” attitude. I look forward to each episode dropping each week.

TteagueAmazing streaming service and podcast!SOMM TV and noggin (for the 4 and 2 year old) are the only tv subscriptions above prime paid for in our house. So much awesome content. Latest podcast on cellars and singlethread follow up podcast to pairings are must listens!
-
Tipsy155PairingsWe watched Pairings last night and listened to the podcast about Singlethread. Just beautiful, so well done. Thank you for always making us feel like you are where you’re filming. Bravo!!!

daveb405Great showGreat podcast that goes along nicely with the sommtv channel.

beaune2rockdelicious ironyalways a blast to listen to. cracks me up every time. quenelle plague from ma cuisine… omg. loved Steve’s amazingly ironic issue with the beer-vs-cab wine pairing after demanding DRC with the salad course in Provence… too good.

L.M.C.86TransformationalI have always loved wine, but during the quarantine phase of Covid, I decided I really wanted to have a better understanding of what’s in my glass. I can’t remember how I discovered the podcast (through another food podcast I think), but I started listening and soon purchased the SommTV subscription. This has been a catalyst for me to discover a whole world of wine and grapes that I never knew existed. I have learned how to taste and talk about wine, and more importantly to appreciate the wine makers behind it. I truly look forward to every new episode and hope to continue to learn and grow in my new found hobby…am I now considering adding a wine cellar to my house instead of spending the money on far more necessary home repairs…yes, yes I am…I blame Jason. This is a must listen if you like wine!

firestarter66Great compliment to SommTVI really like what Jason is doing for content both on the podcast as well as SommTV. He is telling important stories and highlighting the up and coming people in the industry. I also love that Sparklers features George Walker. He was the wine buyer in the small town that I live in here in Michigan.
-
Joey GermWonderful fun and educationalAs a sommelier both somm tv and the sommtv podcast are an amazing educational tool especially in current Covid world, it gives an opportunity to visit new places and hear amazing stories and really contextualize what your learning about.
-
JoeRothExcellent Content but Jason Wise talks too much!I love the content of all the Somm podcasts, but Jason Wise goes off on long rants and soliloquies and doesn’t let his guests talk enough. He forgets at times that he has a guest. I’ll still listen but this is more the Jason Wise podcast.
-
2neosAmazing!I’m depressed when I don’t have a new podcast or a new episode of SommTV !!! But we are watching a blind tasting on SommTV now and think that Jason should find a way for us to get some of these wines so we can taste along with for fun!!!!
-
tonyzchuangGreat on its own, even better with SommTVThis show is amazing. It puts the fun back into wine podcast. So many stories, and not just the technical side, the human side, the great stories. It is a unique and lovely podcast. You definitely should get the SommTV subscription too, they compliment each other so well.
-
ChandlerlyleGreat Wine-centric PodcastLove this podcast and the SommTV network. So much great content, so many fun stories about wine, food, and experiences around the world. I particularly love the stories about the “epiphany wines,” it’s cool to see what gets everyone hooked on this amazing elixir! Only request I might have is when a bottle of wine gets name dropped on an episode if it could be clearly articulated, maybe in the show notes? I think Shakera Jones called out a Colares Chitas, but it was hard to make out which one.
-
essentialmisscCharles WoodsonLoved every part of this podcast! Jason asked great questions and Charles gave great answers! Love this podcast so much I subscribed to SOMM TV!
-
blorenzeeeGreat podcast!Love this podcast!!
-
szangshumanPlease have Jill and Shakera do a podcast together

Honest Dave!Enjoy most of the content but no need to tear down one group of people to lift up othersEntertaining content. Not sure why the need to tear apart one race to attempt to highlight another. I thoroughly enjoy hearing from different perspectives and experiences. Not sure that whiteness is a disease. This country needs to grow closer together acknowledging all different races and different struggles. This will not be accomplished by tearing apart another.

AntoniosdcFactsYou speak the truth my guy.

PerkyPony70.3Thanks for the mental breakI love these genuine conversations with great people. It feels like such a welcome departure from 2020 insanity. I found Somm because of the wine. I subscribe to SommTV & the podcast because of the storytelling.
-
NV'd1Great place to learn and challenge yourself!Jason Wise is bringing together some wonderful personalities that include us in their conversation about wine, beverages, travels, harvest, food, current events and many other topics. This is helping me grow in the world of wine but also in my train of thought locally and globally. Highly recommend this podcast to all that eat and drink (even if you just drink water)!
-
SamCaliOne of my favorite podcastsJason Wise and his team alongside the Somms that are here are just fantastic. I enjoy listening and learning about the food and drink industry.
-
Bobsled OvertimeWhy remove episode 19?Episode 19 with Brian McClintic "Down Memory Lane" was just removed from existence. I was saving that one to listen to and now it is gone. I will probably unsubscribe if this is going to be an ongoing issue.

Hevrbear331Life-changing: Conversations at CopiaTHANK YOU for bringing the conversation about food excess and accessibility to SommTV! I listened to the podcast episode (#10) last night on my way home from work (BLOWN AWAY by the statistics about food waste in schools) and watched the full episode on SommTV today. That conversation alone was well worth the annual cost, and was so empowering for how to start helping and making an impact as a consumer. THANK YOU! Keep up the amazing work!
-
scotty frugEpisode 3Episode 3 with Jay is the best out there!
-
malonespMore Jay FletcherEpisode 3 with Jay Fletcher is one of the best things on the internet. I could listen to him tell stories all day and night.
-
Wine GroundsStay focused man!Jason!! You’ve got a great format and I love the content. My only criticism is the number of tangential stories that take place each episode. Sometimes it can feel like the show loses focus. You have access to the best guests in the world, no one can touch you on that, but I want to hear more from them! Keep it up, they get better every week!
-
Giuliano and SmithNiceLooking forward to the Somm Tv App!
-
LokiPDXWine and stories, the perfect pairingJason Wise is a master at eliciting stories and sharing those stories in such an accessible fashion so we all can see what makes them so compelling. With the Somm films he took the somewhat obtuse world of wine and made it interesting and compelling even for the non-wine geek audience. With this new podcast he delves further into the stories behind the people and places of the wine world. After all wine is all about stories.
-
LBIreneA must listenSo many things to learn and laugh about. I loved listening to Jay Fletcher, whom I feel lucky to have met a few times. What a life! Wine and pool hustle.
-
Autistic assassianCan’t wait for next week!So far the podcasts are 2 for 2!!! Both outstanding. The Somm Series has literally changed my life. Due to the Somm movies I’ve gone from complete novice to WSET level 4 wine student, and I’m loving every minute of my new life. The Podcasts are exactly what I had in my mind to do, but you actually did it and they are top notch. Congratulations, Jason on all of your success. Thank you for providing this podcast for wine lovers like me!
-
Bean flickaThis is the future!Jason, and all guests, Thank you soooommuch!! This podcast is going to be something so great that all those millions who watched the films can follow each week on their way to work, way to the grocery store, chill time at home just listening to good wine knowledge with a funny backstory. You are a trusted name now amongst us who love wine because of SOMM and me and my buddies from the Boston area thank you! I know some good stuff will be to follow.
