WithMyWoesBest part of my drive!I love listening to this podcast every week. From Games athletes to marketing executives and CEOs, there is always fun conversation and awesome insights into the sport of CrossFit. I feel like I know John and Niki at this point, they’ve become a part of my daily car rides! I love this podcast and hope to continue to see it grow, along with CrossFit itself ! Thanks for all you do to support the sport.

somsom4576987Let it go about the 5kJohn, how many times are you going to make the same point over and over again! As Nikki said, you two will disagree. This ruined it for me.

Scott2Amazing that John’s Head Fits Through the Podcast DoorI owe this podcast for initiating my journey from a someone who works out in a CrossFit gym to someone who harbors a passion for CrossFit - not just the Games but the methodology as well. John and Niki have done some great work, both in their independent roles (Make Wods Great Again and Reporter on the media team) and together in this podcast. Lately the ego on the show has just gotten to be too much to listen to. I first noticed it a while back after John bought an affiliate and said (about people who come to the gym to do their own workouts and not the box programming) that “those are the people you don’t want in your gym because they’re not part of the community”. I’m one of those folks, thanks for letting me know I’m not welcome - I promise I won’t drop in. John and Niki are not just unreceptive to feedback, they repeatedly encourage people who don’t like how they conduct themselves to unsubscribe. This is over simple things like use of foul language - which is a shame, because there was a point where I’d have loved to listen to this podcast with my kid. In every episode John makes a point of mentioning important or prominent folks that he knows, engages with, spends time with, and or provides feedback to, even when not relevant to the subject. A significant portion of episode 105 is committed to how he spent the entire 2023 Games talking to and meeting people, being recognized, and engaging with Don Faul directly (in other words, repeatedly having his ego stroked). He then goes on to say that the meet and greet he and Niki hosted wasn’t meaningful to him - this from a guy who constantly says that he’s about the community - and ends the podcast saying that the Games team “is going to have to change some stuff if they want me to come back next year.” Seems it’s long past time for me to take their advice and SMASH that unsubscribe button.

Jeff K in DenverDenver ReviewLove the podcast. But can you please cut back on the kid talk a bit? I have kids. I get it, they are cool. But sometimes feels like I have to fast forward through half of this podcast because it talks about pregnancy and raising kids so much. There are parenting podcasts for that.

Lamont AllardGreatIs it a show about CrossFit. Yes. But it’s a lot more than that. They folks care and they want people to be better and feel better.

JoczterAwesome Podcast, ObviouslyFound the memes on Instagram first (top notch), and ended up at the pod. And it’s great. The Armen interview is a favorite now. His behind the scenes access and y’all’s passion for the sport AND community came together perfectly! I do wish someone would speak on behalf of the affiliates in regards to the Open. I completely agree Roma’s plan to put our affiliates as a top priority is so good to hear. And any change from last year has been welcomed. But to talk about HQ’s cash cow being the open and not mentioning that the only reason that is possible is because of the tireless work the affiliates put in does leave a big element unexplored. And it has been my experience (may not be the same for others) that the weeks before, during, and after the open are often the slowest months of growth because of the attention required to facilitate a good experience for the current community members. Again, may just be my experience so if that’s the case, disregard. But it has been a decade for me with three different affiliates so there’s probably something there. (And yes, a worldwide leaderboard does cost money to develop and maintain, crashing or not, so the $20 doesn’t need to be shared with those doing the actual work every Thursday through Monday on Castros behalf. But acknowledging that what makes the Open popular has little to do with HQ would be nice. In 2011 the Open was a gateway to regionals. For the last five years, it is simply a community event solely dependent on the affiliate. I hope that makes sense. Y’all are awesome.

Treyarch24The Best Part of My WeekI just recently found this podcast, and it quickly became the beat part of my week. John and Niki are so genuine and relatable. They truly love what they’re doing, and that clearly comes across in the interviews. I’ve gone back and listened to almost every episode. If you’re into health and fitness, or just having a great time, you’ll love this podcast!
