shmuel lesherA rare combination— one of a kind.Yehuda Geberer never disappoints. With his wealth of knowledge of Jewish history, he always keeps how listeners engaged with his enjoyable quick-paces yet thorough presentation. His approach is a rare combination of using an objective historical methodology while at the same time offering the traditional Jewish perspective which he understands as an “insider.” Really a pleasure to listen to!

BaruchBer1Five Stars for EffortYehuda Geberer shines light to some major frum historical personalities and events—topics that are not really discussed elsewhere. Yehuda could improve his narration. Many episodes contain “tidbits” of information but Yehuda fails to deliver cohesive picture. Some episodes miss important details. Take for example the episode of the Divrei Chaim. Yehuda completely neglects to explain how he became acquainted to chassidus, especially given the historical context of Galicia at the period. This kind of omission happens over and over. Yehuda, at times, also fails to give chronological detail and will often start the episode with digressions on the personality or event without first detailed who or what they were. The good news is that the podcast has been getting better over time and the future looks bright.

This a squirrelWhat a wonderful podcastThank you for everything! What a great resource and outlet!
-
Aaron508The real scoopYehuda makes history come to life with these great and short episodes. None of that “Artscroll Biography” phenomenon. He says the stories as they happened, without covering up the not so pretty parts. I love his trivia questions such as “who had the greatest moustache of all time?” Super enjoyable and very entertaining.

S AlterFascinating, humorous & candidI listen to this whenever I am on the train to work, and it transforms my journey from a long and drab annoyance to an enjoyable and productive experience. Granted, my fellow passengers probably think I am a tad strange, with all my nodding, chuckling and eyebrow raising. But who cares....

-
binu shenotGreat PodcastGreat, concise, clear and interesting; runs the gamut of jewish history of the past several hundred years. The short format makes it easy to listen to, in small bites, one at a time. My suggestion is that the podcast not shy away from controversial topics, as long as they’re presented respectfully and with understanding. Leaving controversial discussion off the table inevitably misses out on and even obscures some of the historical understanding.
-
MarkPuzWhat a great podcastI love this podcast, the perspectives are respectful and balanced all around and as a novice student of history I have not encountered any misrepresentations or slanted opinions at all - very rare in my experience of modern Jewish history teachers Thank you so so much for taking the time to do this!!!!

Eli SandhausAmazing!Yehuda Geberer is unbelievable! The scope and depth of his knowledge and insight are unparalleled! He presents fascinating histories in very understandable and relatable manners. If you love his podcast as much as I do, you should definitely consider taking a tour with him. I’ve personally gone on two tours with him (one of which was an 8 day excursion across Eastern Europe) and he only gets better and better! #Gebs&Geisler4life 🥳
