    Ok dota, better nba
It’s really funny seeing the continuous saga of the Phoenix suns and I’m leaving this rating to make sure we keep updated on Kevin Durants trade request

Is this what SUNSfan warned us about?
    Yes.

    Things are said
SunsFans voice sounds like a bowl of unicorns, angels and behemoths mixed together. So many emotions, so many tones. The man should host every event on this planet.

    Relaxing and informative
This is a great podcast to listen to when doing things. From working out, to commutes, and while dying from playing dota. Thanks for the knowledgeable synderen and the comedic sunsfan. Great combo and a great friendship. Continue the great work guys.

Sunsfan is the worst tech support !
Sunsfan’s lack of knowledge on computer hardware is what has forced me to come to Apple podcasts and write down a review. With respect to the new graphic cards from Nvidia, There is an advantage of playing on a 144hz monitors with 200+fps because at each refresh the monitor will show a more updated frame compared to when it was running at 140 frames. This is even more evident in lower end monitors where running a 60hz monitor at 130fps will give you a significant advantage. Aside from sunsfans stupidity on the topic I give this podcast 5 stars!

    DOTA +something special
The constant stream of dota news and updates is great, however their podcast truly shines when SUNSfan gets to discuss his love of the NBA, In Bruges, and most recently The Stormlight Archives!! SyndereN is the perfect foil for Sunsfan’s interests and his glib comments perfect their constant verbal sparring!!

    A Passionate Plea
I’ve been playing dota for over 15 years and am a big fan of Sunsfan and Synd. I’ve watched We Say Things pretty consistently since episode 12 about a year ago. This podcast has so much potential, but it has declined in quality over the last few months. If you read this and care (maybe you won’t!) here’s why the show is at a 2-star right now. Prep work! Every week it feels like Sunsfan gets the topics together to be discussed, does a little prep work, and then Synd wakes up, rolls out of bed, and looks over the topics for the first time ever. The topics y’all discuss are great, but when Synd is supposed to bring the good analysis and he hasn’t even watched the games being discussed it’s kind of frustrating. Last week the Nigma disconnect happened and you guys didn’t know which series it was, who won the series, or whether gh played the series after forfeiting game 1. Too long! It wouldn’t hurt to cut down on some of the stuff that make these episodes go long. The material could easily be cut down to 45 minute episodes if you stick to talking about what you want to talk about, but there are moments like last week where you did a sound check after starting your recording where you could just cut that out. The long intros are unnecessary. This goes back to prep work as well, if you know exactly what you’ll be talking about and what you want to say you can push through the topics more efficiently. Have an opinion. There are too many times when watching I feel like you’re just talking to talk. This may be another point that goes back to prep work, but if you do the research ahead of time you don’t find yourself talking about topics you’re not informed on and can have an opinion on it. Maybe this is a dota thing where because things change so much you don’t want to have an opinion that may look dated in a few weeks or something, but just hearing you bring up topics and talk theoretical about them isn’t very fun to listen to personally. Lastly, WHY DID YOU RUSH SYND THROUGH A TOP PLAYERS IN DOTA CONVO?! Just save that for when you can prep and give an honest answer with reasons to back it up. It’s probably the most interesting discussion to have involving pro dota and you guys spent 16 minutes on it, half of which was Sunsfan trying to rush Synd’s thought process. Do you look at these questions beforehand? I would happily sit through an hour and a half discussion on the topic, or read an article like how Suns used to do the Aghs rankings. Hoping you take these criticisms into consideration. I genuinely enjoy you both and think you have an amazing podcast on your hands, just hate to see you let it fall to the wayside due to lack of interest/organization.

    Best DotA 2 podcast
Been listening a while now. Love the patch episodes and the interviews the most. I like basketball too so it's always hilarious when SUNSfan brings it up on a DotA podcast.

I love you guys and this podcast but....
It’s drives me nuts. And it’s happened more then once. When you guys start to talk about a recent tournament and then you ask did you watch? You both say no and laugh about it. How can you guys be in this Dota2 scene and not watch these games. And pls for the love of god if you don’t watch. Don’t have a segment on it. And come up with opinions based on what you read and or just looked up the scores/drafts of the games. If you’re not gonna watch don’t talk about it at all. I feel like you guys should be a little embarrassed that you are not taking the time to watch the few events Dota has throughout the year. Its not like they are on all the time. I might be over reacting to this but I listen to this podcast bc I like you guys and want to hear your opinions on the Dota2 scene and when you guys chuckle and say no I didn’t watch like it’s no big deal It bums me out. I feel like this an area you two can get better at. PS Don’t worry even tho this made me mad and I stopped the podcast to write this. I’ll still be supporting you guys in the future. Just do better ;)

We complain about things + dota
I love hearing SUNSFAN complainants about gaming in general and Synd being the weirdo nonchalant caster we all know and love talking about how he doesn’t care about In Bruge.

    Great banter bois!
Hey guys excellent podcast and excellent banter. What do you guys think about the 100 hour limit for playing ranked? As a former LoL player that wants to transition from that god awful game, I really think the 100h limit greatly hampers Dota’s growth. I play around 2 times a week. I get around 5 hours of total played with about 3 of that being in-game. That means I have to play around 6 months of grind to actually play ranked. I think this greatly discourage new players that wants to get into the game. I havn’t seen this discussed a lot, what are your thought on this? Thoughts about this? Love from Sweden <3

    My favorite podcast hands down
Every week I get to look forward to these two clowns talk about dota and game news in general. I would like to ask since it comes up so much if this could be the starting rant to a episode what exactly you two hate about over watch competitively and the league? Keep up the good work guys.

    The best available dota podcast
I really like this podcast, and not because is the only available one...the synergy between Suns and Synd its pretty funny, but also insightful both for dota stuff and life issues. I was watching a Q&A with Suns and DCNeil from 2017, and the format was different( I didn’t like it). Well, keep on doing a great job guys. Greeting from Cuba!

    Best ESports podcast out there
I love your analysis of not only Smite, but baseball as well (Go Mapleleafs!). Your insight into the current League of Legends meta is second to some, and I would rather be stabbed than to eat a tomato.

    My weekly dose of Dota
Great podcast, big fan of synd and sunsfan. Started playing HoN back in the day and now 2k trash in Dota. Great listen for staying up to date on Dota and random esports news. NA Dota lives on. (Update) never got my review called out. So here we are...

    Decent
Great way to stay up to date with the crazy world that is DoTA2. Love the playful banter. Alcohol suggestion for SUNSfan: As Synderen is Danish, I thought he might've mentioned mead as it has a history in Denmark and is usually (though not always) fairly sweet. Episode suggestion: Have other famous Counter Strike pros come on and talk about Sunsfan's illustrious career from their perspective and see how it shaped the players they are today and the scene as a whole. Keep up the great work! Love the show.

    The Okay-est Horse Podcast!
In this new and awkward take on the Katy Perry Left Shark and Right Shark meme, Left Horse and Right Horse are voiced by a former honey badger and a centaur fetishist. Episodes are characterized by running jokes and Left Horse’s misinformed diatribes regarding bad films and non-equine sports, but I most look forward to CinnaboN’s monotone and verbose monologues because they put me to sleep faster than a scotch and Ambien cocktail. However you feel about this pair of delinquents, the most important thing to remember is that Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.

    Best NBA podcast
Although why do you keep bringing on this SyndereN guy? He clearly is completely clueless about basketball. Wanted to say a few things about DeAndre Ayton: 1) A diuretic is really more for making you pee a lot, although it can occasionally make you poo. But I get this feeling SyndereN thinks it’s a laxative given its name, which it is not. 2) Drug detection technology hasn’t gotten better, but they set minimum detection amounts to reduce false positives. So the players would never agree to remove them (and that’s the only way to change drug policy, via the collective bargaining agreement which only changes every few years). 3) With Ayton, he claims he accidentally took a diuretic but did not take any PEDs, and apparently the test results did not show any amount of PEDs. But for his appeal, it doesn’t matter whether or not he took PEDs since diuretics are banned. He has to provide strong evidence he unknowingly took it. Also, fun fact, Ayton is the first NBA player to be caught taking a diuretic.

    Great esports podcast
Big fan of all things Dota sin-o-man for many years now. The cast of this show features both a professional Counter-Strike player and a professional Dota 2 player allowing for a highly unique and interesting perspective into the world of esports. My only gripe with the show is the fact that one of the hosts, sunsfan, gets mad at American viewers over their pronunciation of the phrase “ESL Hamburger-helper” even though he is literally the sole reason half the Dota community pronounces Abaddon wrong. Having said that, I still rate this podcast 5 horse heads out of 5 horse heads. Ps. I am still a little upset that I was recently tricked into watch the Hero Spotlight video for Death Prophet.

You guys are a great combo and very entertaining. Love that it comes out frequently. My personal request is keep up with the NBA takes please! Every podcast we need a suns/nba check in. The suns deserve this!!!

    Great DoTA2 Podcast
Great DoTA2 podcast, the chemistry between SUNSfan and syndereN is incredibly intersting and entertaining. The interviews with guests are personal, silly and really bring out the human stories behind the personalities in the DoTA scene. Keep up the good work!

    Tuesday pick me up podcast
Good podcast for getting me into Tuesday morning work. I have to drink extra coffee so Syn doesn’t put me to sleep during each episode and when it’s finished I have so much energy from all the coffee I get actual work done. Thanks guys and I can’t wait to hear the incoming rant about the suns drama at the start of next episode.

Literally Changing My Life One Episode at a Time
Tuesdays are the doldrums of the week. Literally nothing exciting happens on Tuesdays. This podcast has changed my life by improving my Tuesdays tenfold. This podcast has literally changed my life, as I have eaten Arby's and cherry tomatoes soon after their respective episodes. I got the plesaure(?) of meeting SUNSfan at Betway Midas Mode 2, and I told him that the Arby's sauce is a glorified barbeque sauce, and he gave me the most disgusted look of horror. Then I told him that I was a Lakers fan, and he threatened to take back his signature off the mousepad he had just signed. Well I'm sorry to pile on the disappointment, but I tried watching In Bruges and stopped watching after 20 minutes. I rate this podcast 8 out of 24.

    SyndereN Please
    Just watch In Bruges please

Thanks to this podcast, I was finally able to pick something to watch on Netflix: In Brooge. Was a very strange movie. But anyway, the podcast is excellent, as any content featuring Synderen is.

A Dota podcast that will live forever
I’d like to recall a moment at TI5. I approached Sunsfan and asked for a picture with him. I mentioned having to poop real bad, could we take a picture with him quickly. We then proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation about pooping and general bathroom etiquette. We eventually took a picture and I almost shat my pants. 10/10 would talk about poop again.
  • dv0dv0
    formula 1 comment
as a formula 1 fan as well as a dota fan, I think comment about "people watching for the crashes" is only something non-fans say, as the fans that I know certainly dont watch for the crashes, as it is not something to be taken lightly a driver was killed in a formula 2 race (think of it as a lower division) only 2 days before that podcast episode and it was not entertaining for anyone. nobody was watching for that.
  • bees2knees
I would rate 6 stars but...
I would rate this podcast 6 stars if you had Bulldog on as a guest. A TI winner could really heighten the level of conversation!

    Is this on Spotify?
SUNSfan and SyndereN are my favorite DOTA personalities. I’ve enjoyed their repartee since discovering DOTAcinema. Still waiting for you guys to finish the A-Z-A challenge. Love the info with a dash of insight. More top 5 lists please! Thanks for all the work you guys do in the community!

    Where to begin?
How does one even begin to review a podcast of such blissful majesty? Should I start with Sunsfan’s sultry voice or maybe Synderen’s eloquent demeanor? No. The characteristics of these two men are beyond the words of even the most skillful poet. Perhaps instead I will just describe how the podcast will make you feel. At first, you will be confused because Earth’s gravity will seem a bit less pronounced. This weightless feeling has even enabled me to finally dunk a basketball. With my freaking feet, man. These guys are insane! Halfway through the episode, your ear pleasure will be nearly unbearable. You will remove your earbuds only to have the delicious echoes of a long Sunsfan rant bouncing back and forth in your head until you fully accept the ecstasy of the moment. After you replace your earbuds and finish the podcast, you will realize only an hour had passed, yet you will feel as if you have traveled through eons on the back of a winged steed through the halls of Valhalla. So, all in all, I’d recommend.

This podcast is wayyy funnier than it deserves to be
Seriously top-notch content from a hilarious duo. Need a live rendition of the We Say Things intro at the Jungle Jam.

    Thanks Sunsfan Joon :)
I’m Persian, working in engineering R&D, and am the definition of the immigrant experience. Ever since I bestowed upon dota, sunsfan”ing” has been my approach. Oh btw, at the institute my catchphrase is “good clean boi” Keep on rocking you two!

    Five stars
This podcast gives me hope by providing average at best content on a weekly basis. I’ve seen suns somehow survive since dota one. Hopefully this podcast will finally allow him to monetize what he’s best at-making other people feel better about themselves by comparison. Nice find synderyn. Please don’t give up guys.

    Great Podcast
Listened to this podcast for 6 hours straight on a road trip and my inner monologue started to sound like SyndereN’s voice... didn’t hate it. Love what these guys are doing and the great dichotomy between these two personalities. SynereN I totally get where you’re coming from about Avatar. Sunsfan, love the new jingle!

I love this NBA podcast. Listening to it also has a side effect of lowering my Dota MMR— Probably unrelated.

    Rants, Grammar and occasionally Dota2
This is my favorite grammar podcast, featuring noted smart person, syndereN. Also, regular rants from former eSports owner and native English-speaker SUNSfan are almost always enjoyable. Also Dota2 is a video game that is talked about from time to time. (Knowledge of Dota2 is not required to be entertained by this podcast.) Can’t get enough. These guys have amazing chemistry. Please don’t let this podcast go the way of Artifact.

Making Tuesday’s a treat, Is an honorable feat. Laughing in the sun rise, I owe it to these guys. With care and insight, They solve the people’s plight! Always fair, never trippin, My thanks to Sunsfan and syndereN.
