Outlandos d'Podcast: A show about Sting

16

An album-by-album rewatch of Sting's career with The Police and beyond. We mostly make fun of people and laugh at our own dumb jokes, but sometimes we say smart stuff. New episodes every Monday morning until we get through all of his albums (god help us with the more recent stuff). Talk to us about Sting on the internet with #JazzDadsShips. Also, check out our dumb show about Billy Joel, "We Didn't Start the Podcast."

    Reluctant fan
I love the Police and Sting. When I was a teen I would pour over the liner notes on Sting’s albums. Despite my affection, I can’t help but laugh throughout this podcast. But I still love Sting! ps why did you stop? There are still more albums!

Each episode is better then the last
I was disappointed with the first episode because it could not compare with We Didn’t Start the Podcast. But after another episode or two it seems like Meg and Adam have found their groove. Their discussion of Sting and The Police have me laughing and cringing... and yet, I still want to listen to Island of the Big Turtles, or whatever it’s called.

You had me from “Newcastle is his trucker hat”!
For me, Sting has just been in the background of life. I’ve heard his stuff everywhere for decades without knowing anything about him. This podcast is surprisingly fun and interesting. Possibly not the first choice if you’re a die-hard fan of Sting? I’m not and I really enjoyed it.

    These two are hysterical
I laugh/cry almost every time I listen. So good!

    Why oh why
These two can’t get beyond themselves sufficiently tell a story. All they did in the first episode was say snarky things about Sting, picking on one aspect after another — his hair, his age, his upbringing, his acting, that he’s had plastic surgery — just crowing at their own cleverness, adding nothing but negativity to the world. Why would someone put their energy into this podcast when there are so many better topics?
