    Good show except…
Good show but Taylor’s non stop use of the word “Right” is nuts! She uses as a comma, a period, a question mark and in the middle of every other sentence whether it make sense or not. Please listen to your last episode, before 8/14, and hear it for yourselves!

    Good and interesting
I like listening BC they can intelligently discuss relevant topics. More journalism than hype.

    Must listen if following NWSL
Love NWSL and USWNT? This podcast is a must.

getting worse is a bold choice ahead of a world cup
they’ve really stretched themselves by choosing to cover only 3 league games per week on their weekly pod and have become what is now nothing more than an opinion based talk show rather than an in depth podcast covering the league and national team. just nowhere near it when it comes to tactical discussion. in 2023, you need to do more in this space if you’re going to claim to be a leader in it.
  • It’s overrated
    Good, could be better
My only criticism is I wish they could get some guests who are knowledgeable of more team. Like it is very clear no one really follows they are lacking a someone with knowledge to talk about Orlando in depth and when they come up in the podcast they tend to rush through any analysis.

    Must listen show!
Every iteration of the show has been great, the hosts are all knowledgeable and cover all the latest.

    New Listener and Love It!
Branched out with some of the recent changes at the athletic and happy I did! Love adding this to my podcast rotation and great insight and analysis into the women’s game! Don’t feel any influence coming from CBS and great site as well!

    Excellent and no fluff
Excellent, in-depth discussions. Extremely knowledgeable hosts/guests.

    Host Could Improve
Guests are usually smart with thoughtful analysis. Host is dismissive of some NWSL teams and talks over/interrupts guests!

    The Best
The most reliable and well thought out show on women s soccer.

    Hooray Canada; Boo USA
Hope you didn’t lay bets on your predictions for the CONCACAF W final. Canada looked stringy, plodding, and totally dependent on their GK. They Better start playing those youngsters or they’re gong out of the World Cup in the quarters AGAIN!!!!

“More interested in how things feel than tactical stuff” - Claire Watkins
I love the Equalizer Podcast and Claire is excellent as a host. 5 stars. I do believe the lack of quality coverage elsewhere in CONCACAF has hurt the quality of analysis leading into this qualifying cycle. I’m not even necessarily suggesting that folks were wrong about Mexico - but the suggestion that they could challenge was more about feeling than tactical analysis. Claire has acknowledged as much in the most recent episode in regards to Canada - “I’m always interested by the different levels in more just how things feel between the two programs rather than getting into the nitty gritty of the tactical stuff.” Would love for the analysis of other teams in CONCACAF to get into the nitty gritty! Why did folks think Mexico had improved (outside of getting a league, which frankly isn’t analysis)? Why did Canada “look better”? I love this podcast for getting into the soccer analysis in a way we don’t see elsewhere and would love to see Equalizer continue to live up to that standard.

    Thoughtful and fun
Can always count on the Equalizer Pod for thorough, smart analysis on all things women's soccer. Claire’s a great host and appreciate all the guests’ insight as well.

    Love the thoughtful discussions

    Excellent Quality!
Claire Watkins comes extremely well prepared with direct analysis and discussion regarding soccer. A great listen!

    Good pod
I work in pro soccer, and this is my go-to podcast on the NWSL. I enjoy the discussions. The guests are always good. Informative analysis. My only complaint, and it’s obviously coming from a biased place, is that there is never a discussion (and oftentimes not even a mention) of Racing Louisville. Would love to hear the analysis — good, bad or somewhere in between — of this year’s team, which has some real bright spots.

    Best Pod for NWSL Fans
Far and away my favorite pod for NWSL discussion. Lively, smart host and a rotation of excellent guests. Great balance of football talk and league news.
  • kelly md23
    It’s decent, not groundbreaking
The discussions are decent enough. The analysis isn’t too technically deep, which can be good if you just want to get your soccer update fix which is why I listen but it’s not anything you couldn’t figure out on your own. However, because the hosts are journalists/media in women's soccer, they do have some info you might have known otherwise. Pardeep, one of the regular co-hosts, is really hard to listen to. Her input lacks any substance, she takes too long to speak just to say barely anything, and doesn’t add anything to the episode. She either needs to prepare herself for the episode better or practice public speaking or edit her parts down.
  • Sarah Butts
    Host choice
Glad that Claire is the permanent host. She brings a balanced and nuanced approach to soccer discussion and analysis. Appreciate that she is a unabashed Chicago fan. Good work.

Best NWSL/women’s football in the USA?
host is up to date and delivers news that is happening in the world of women’s football (soccer). It is entertaining, I believe they are learning, but their tactical analysis is lacking which is in itself entertaining to the listener. I will continue to listen to this podcast partly because I don’t believe American’s can do better, and the English are not going to pod about this when they have the Prem to discuss.

    Great source
The Equalizer is an amazing source of insider info on all things women’s soccer related. I look forward to every new episode and Claire has been great. It’s so satisfying to hear the hosts echoing my sentiments too so that helps. I’m almost always in agreement with their take on things. They are knowledgeable, think critically and are well spoken and entertaining. I would give them 20 stars if I could! Keep up the good work Equalizer!

    My weekly soccer podcast fix
I am an avid women’s soccer fan, from the ’99 ers and before. I am so happy to have discovered the Equalizer and this podcast. It is hard to get information since coverage of women’s soccer is so sparse. Claire Watkins is fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgable and authoritative. She and her co hosts, especially Pardeep Chadry, are informed, articulate and insightful, but also fair and even handed in their commentary. They are equally ready to give praise when it is due as well as calling a spade a spade when it is warranted. I am often left thinking “oh I didn’t know that” or “oh I didn’t see that perspective|”. The real information rarely, if ever finds itself into the mainstream press, apologies to the Washington Post, which is the exception. Somehow the official NWSL site is sadly deficient in providing information which is either timely or reliable. I look forward excitedly to Tuesday when the podcast drops, and if you are a fan like I am, I recommend that you do the same. Thank you Claire and Pardeep, and keep up the excellent work.

    Thank you, Claire
Every week Claire is an engaging, knowledgable host filled with enthusiasm and humanity entertaining us while discussing soccer. Truly the best woso podcast out there because she takes the time to be invigorated by the sport we all love while also holding conversations discussing the many hardships prevalent this season. I look forward to a new episode every week. No one is doing it better than Claire and the many guest hosts on the Equalizer.

    Great Podcast
I have really enjoyed Claire’s hosting this season. A great podcast for women’s soccer updates and analysis.

Excellent summary and analysis of WoSo news
This podcast is great, and the host Claire Watkins knows her stuff. She has great guests on to chat with, and overall I love it. My only issue is that since they joined Bluewire, I can no longer listen with headphones - the ads are sooooo much louder than the content that it’s literally an aural safety issue.

    Great Sports Podcast
Love this perspective on women’s soccer! Claire always has really great insights.

My go to podcast to listen for NWSL news
    Solid listen. Good job everyone!

So glad to have this podcast
I highly enjoy their insights and opinions.

We can do so much better
Claire is great, I wish her counterparts thought as much about what they were going to say. I keep hoping for more analysis of the player/teams and less analysis of the league. Two girls talk balls does a gret job balancing the problems withthe WSL league and the excitement of watching women play soccer- I wish we had a similar podcast stateside

    Katelyn Best
Katelyn Best is closed mined, judgmental, and only believes in diversity if it excludes people who don’t share her opinions. I won’t listen to this episode.
  • jo uhrich
    Crucial listening for WoSo followers
I wish I could watch every NWSL game every week but I can’t. This is the next best thing and is an invaluable resource for learning about the in and outs of each NWSL game week.
  • MDF716
    Best of regular woso coverage
I have been a weekly listener to the Equalizer pod since its inception. Look forward to it every week because it’s all we really get for detailed weekly woso analysis. That being said, you have to listen critically. It is VERY Chicago focused and you get very rich, interesting analysis of that team. Good analysis of Portland, NCC and sometimes the Reign. You get a lot of recycled comments of the rest of the teams. Not much deep on players strengths/weaknesses or tactics which can be frustrating. The commentators just have more Chicago expertise and investment, but I would love to hear more tactical and player analysis about other teams. Overall, huge fan! 7/2021 update - so happy to have Claire back every week! Absolutely brings the quality up many many notches! :)

Best place for news and analysis!
I love this podcast. I don’t have many friends who are interested in women’s soccer, so listening to this podcast makes me feel like i’m having all of the fun conversations i wish i could have IRL. Can’t wait for analysis on the olympics!

    Women's Soccer Central
Whenever I want WoSo info from a reliable source, I often turn to the host's social media account, so it was a no-brainer for me to start listening to this podcast as well. I love hearing the host and guests takes on things since they often know a lot more than I do!

    Love the insight
My go-to for women’s soccer news and analysis.
  • Brandon in Louisville
    Love to listen.
Great show about NWSL/USWNT from some of the most informed people covering it. Just wish that every time they talk about Racing Louisville it didn’t sound like they were reluctantly doing it.

    Equalizer
This is the one podcast I get (out of many) that I never skip, because it’s always interesting!

Great for WoSo News and Insight!
Been following the Equalizer for ages and listening to this pod for over a year now. Love the insight and breakdown of NWSL games. Claire and co are great hosts!

    Best Women’s Soccer Podcast
I’ve been listening to the Equalizer podcast for a few years now and I’ve loved every second of it. I find myself either waiting for the new week to start so I get a new podcast or wanting to skip a few weeks just so I can binge multiple in a row. Each member of the Equalizer team provides a unique lens to women’s soccer and they’ve been incorporating more leagues, making the segments more diverse. Definitely a must listen to if you love soccer!

    Great Women’s Soccer Coverage!
Love everything that the team at The Equalizer puts out. Top notch coverage of all the news and events in the NWSL, USWNT, and all WOSO across the world.

Essential Listening for Women's Soccer Fans
Started listening to The Equalizer in 2018 and it was one of the big reasons I ended up subscribing to the website. The coverage on the podcast was really great all the way through the World Cup and was much appreciated through a turbulent 2020. Claire Watkins has been great as the permanent host, and I especially appreciate the recaps each week since it's impossible to catch every single NWSL game (at least for me.) The coverage of the USWNT is also really great, and the occasional piece about other leagues is much appreciated.

    Empowering
Love how the equalizer has empowered so many young players and enhanced their love for the game!

    Bias.. bias…bias
I want to support pods like this, but you guys make it so hard. First it was Chicago bias, so I stopped listening to pods involving Chicago. Now we’ve moved on to Midge Purce bias. It has been glaringly obvious that Equalizer is a bunch of fans turned “journalists,” but it just gets worse and worse. Everyone is allowed to have favorite players, but if this is supposed journalism you should be able to look at each player objectively. That’s just not something anyone on this show ever does.
  • C.Puente
    Essential listening for NWSL fans
This was the first soccer podcast I started listening to and it’s only gotten better with Claire Watkins as host. She asks great questions, keeps the conversation moving and is clear about when the league can do better for its players and fans. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just getting into the NWSL, this is an essential source of information and stories.
  • zf$hy
    Host and Co-Host
This is a great and informative podcast on the NWSL and WoSo in general. Claire Watkins does an amazing job of hosting - but often has to carry the weight of the show as some of the co-hosts don’t have opinions, insight or much to add to each question and topic. It is unfortunate as Claire clearly prepares for each show while some co-hosts seem to literally phone it in. Overall a great podcast - but could be that much better with more insightful, informed and opinionated co-hosts.

    5 Star
A 5 Star podcast about women’s football. Doesn’t feel scripted. Free flowing conversation. Great for new comers and veterans.

Need to stop talking about reffing
i love women’s soccer and happy to have an entire podcast dedicated to its coverage, but the host needs to chill with talking about the reffing. There are problems with refs in every sport, and it’s a part of the game. Continually making negative comments about the reffing when it was already acknowledged is grating.
  • Lbstr32
    Great podcast
This is a very enjoyable and knowledgeable podcast. One of the few places to get in-depth coverage of Women’s Soccer.
  • Jason, San Jose
It’s a fun podcast that covers a lot of topics.
I recently finished the kicking back podcast and then discovered this one. I’m A guy that really likes soccer and in a huge women’s soccer fan. Living in the bay area has meant that I’ve been without a professional team since the gold tray folded about a decade ago. It’s not always easy to find information about the teams and the players so I’m very happy to have podcast like this delve into a plethora of topics that have to do with women soccer. And I for one have no problem with the little bit of politics that you talk about. Politics affects life, so, while I don’t want that to be the main thrust of the podcast I think it would be silly to pretend the politics aren’t important. There are a lot of things going on in the world and many female footballers are using their platform to talk about big issues so I think it’s fine that you cover them. There’s been a couple slow points but overall I really enjoy theTopics in the insights from the hosts and guests. Good job!
