    Really Informative; Well Done
I’ve worked in Construction Software for five years and I’m also going to school for Construction Management. There’s not a lot of people who have the time to really help students understand what life actually looks like in the field and how to be successful. This podcast has been really helpful to me as a student, and as an employee to help me better understand my clients.

    Question ! ?
Your website no longer pulls up (builderstactics.com). What web page are you posting you estimating formulas/tips to? You mentioned in a recent episode that you wound be adding those details online, but where ??? Great show. Thanks.

    Don’t waste your time.
One of the hosts is unbearable. We all know the type, the safety guy who walks around acting tough, has never run a crew (efficiently), says he’s been doing this “20 years”, but realistically it’s been 2 and he followed his boss around like a dog. They talked about diversity on-site and texts there wife sent, telling guys to wear a hard hat and smoke in the right area… everything talked about is the opposite of a productive jobsite.

    Awesome
I love this podcast! As a buisness owner / Pm/ Super/ Estimator I needed something fresh. Not the same old mondaine, mono tone, class room style PM podacst. I litterally binged this for about 2 months. I highly reccomend giving this a listen. JB - Utah - B logic Construction LLC

    Insightful entertainment- sponsor worthy
I’ve been looking for ways to optimize my travel time between work sites and I finally decided venture beyond Joe Rogan and found your podcast! I work as a Maintenance Mechanic 1 for wa state parks- entry level for the Construction & Maintenance career track and I’m as green as they come. Thank you so much for putting this together and being open to share your experiences. Specifically the bits about writing everything down and learning from your mistakes. It was a relief to know I’m not alone in needing to record everything and that everyone is subject to messing up in their career (new or seasoned). I work with some super sharp minds, so I often feel self conscious about carrying my notebook around and needing to notate or draw diagrams. For you to validate that as a best practice, allows me to embrace that habit without embarrassment. Thank you. I was so stoked when I found your podcast, I shared it to another MM1 who is new to the job in hopes to give them an additional outlet for knowledge and advice. My hope is it will continue to be passed along to others in our agency (or beyond) who are curious or interested in pursuing C&M career track within parks. Please keep the podcast going. It keeps me motivated, light-hearted, and informed on the drive between parks. And I have to admit, it gives me something to look forward to every time I hop in truck. If ya’ll don’t have sponsors, gotta get on that. I want more ways to support this podcast beyond writing a review and sharing. Keep up the great work!

Awesome Insight!! Great for someone making the move into management
I have been in the industry for 15 years, mostly on the supplier side. This is by far the best podcast I have found for real life experience. Highly refer this podcast. I hope they keep going, noticed nothing new since December 2020.

    Perfect for Commuting / Driving
The first few episodes have a couple audio issues, get past it because this is a great show. I have a commute and I listen on the road. I like that these guys keep it light and it’s not just 100 percent facts flying at me. I bought ‘Builder Tactics’ on Amazon, very good read. Short in pages but packed with content.

    Great podcast however
These dude are good but they have a touch of ADD and deviate off topic a lot. I don’t have much time to listen to filler. I wish they would enriched there show with more productive information.. if they run there jobs like they run this show. We wouldn’t have houses.. this isn’t me being a jerk just calling a spade a spade.. I’ll still listen cause it’s entertaining sometimes..

    Fantastic resource for CM professionals
These guys not only know their stuff, they know how to present it in an enetertaining and digestible way. Every episode has multiple useful takeaways. I just started listening last week and I'm currently episode 32. Crossing my fingers that the intro music sound level gets fixed soon! (Thumbs up)

I just can’t read Jeremy’s stupid review at the top of the list any more. Here’s mine: Damien and Jason are obviously smart and handsome. Great content. Did I mention smart?

    Great Podcast
I’ve jotted down a ton of notes from you guys experience and tips. Every episode is valuable. I’m just starting out in the industry, made it to my first year mark! Managing multi family, and commercial projects. I’m excited to listen to what else you guys have in store. I would like to hear about the process from start to finish of building from the ground up. All the little details that play a major part. From rough grading, installing the wet/dry utilities, etc etc. Also would like to know how you guys stay fired up to tackle project after project. Thank you!
  • Andrew Fuchs
    Appreciate you guys!
I really enjoy listening to your guys podcast! It’s an easy listen to and from work or job sites and provides some insights that have helped me navigate the construction industry. I started listening back in October when I made the decision to quit my 6 and a half year career as a CPA and join my family business in commercial general contracting. Even though you both are in residential building you do a great job applying your knowledge to the overall industry. I have a huge knowledge gap that I am attempting to cross over that often times makes me think I am insane for attempting this transition from accounting to construction but this podcast has been an amazing resource over the last 3 months in helping me bridge that gap and giving me hope that this crazy transition will be worth the hard work at the end. Really appreciate your guys efforts to share your wealth of knowledge!

No matter how much you think you know....
No matter how much you think you know, it’s always a good idea to listen to other experienced people whenever you can. These guys really do a great job at going into many aspects of construction management and can give some great insight on overlooked areas of building. I have loved listening and adding their knowledge to memory, even as someone who has been working in the field for a decade. There is always more to learn and these guys are the best of the best when it comes to talking CM.
  • ThaDrywallGuy

    Keep up the Great Work!
Great podcast for anyone interested at a glimpse into construction from those who do it on a daily basis. I have been in commercial construction going on 10 years and wish I found something like this podcast earlier in my career to help provide the insight needed to help become a better construction manager sooner. Very informative, useful information, that from experience, is reliable for application for those within any construction market. Great content, keep it up!

    Many Thanks!
Hey! I’m a recent member of the construction career train. I got into this by happenstance and I’m forever thankful for the opportunity I’ve been given by the construction company I work for. Despite the fact that I’m not in residential construction as of now, I just wanted to say I appreciate all that you both do! What advice would you give to someone who’s getting into road/bridge construction? Would you suggest residential over this area of construction? How do you recommend I gain experience in residential as I continue in the field I’m currently in? I’m only 8 months in so I’m excited to learn all I can. Thanks guys, Chance P.s. is there a way you can make your audio louder and lower the volume on your intro music? Blows my ears out every time the podcast begins/ends.
  • felenes48
    Ideas and love your podcast
I love the podcast! And actually implemented the important, urgent, not important and not urgent method and man it helps! But I’d like to hear you guys get other project managers from different type of construction like commercial tenant improvement. Then discuss how each niche in construction has its challenges. Also I think it would be cool to talk about change orders too, with challenges with that. I’m a project manager in Los Angeles doing tenant improvement in high rises and if you guys need a guest CONTACT ME!

    Great podcast
I’m a junior project manager in the NoVa area as well. I just got into this field 6 months ago so I am still learning the ways of a project manager but these guys have been so helpful in my development. Thank you for making your content free.

    Great Resource!
Thanks for doing this! The information is great. I’ve worked three years at a construction nonprofit in the DC area and have just been hired on as an assistant site superintendent. This wisdom is definitely helping me to improve everyday! Would love to hear about certifications that are worthy of pursuing. Right now I’m considering LEED GA.

    Great Podcast
The knowledge is very good and the examples provided are extremely relatable. I enjoyed listening to it because it makes you think about what’s done on the Job on a day to day basis. I’m mainly working on heavy civil construction jobs but some of the information is still really relevant. Keep putting out great content guys.

    Compelling and Rich
I work for a pretty big homebuilding outfit in the Northern Virginia. Just started following you guys, and this will definitely be my early morning commute go to! I told my dad about this podcast who has no concept of construction (Retired General) except for knowing that sticks, and concrete go into building homes; he was like these guys freaking rock! A ton of solid knowledge in these episodes. Keep the stellar episodes coming! Taylor M.

    On Point. Relevant and useful.
It has been rare to find Tradesman willing to take time from a busy workload, willing to learn and mess around with podcasting, seemingly motivated to freely share their experiences with the self-educating. Keep up the good work, I’m taking notes!
