    huge fan❤️
I am slowly but surely making my way through every single episode on my many morning walks and house cleanings… I love Alex’s courage to share the truth about topics like sex and relationships, & she’s a captivating storyteller and heartfelt interviewer. Not to mention absolutely hilarious. The Megan Fox episode and the Catfish story episode have been two of my favorites. Out of curiosity I took a look at the reviews for the pod today, and was so surprised to see how much hate she is getting, considering how much I loved her work over the past few months. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but for a free-spirited 29 year old woman living her best life as a s3x worker and full-time college student ~ it’s for me.❤️

    Fabulous interviews
Just finished listening to two of Alex’s interviews-the one with Jane Goodall and another with Abby Wombach and Glennom Doyle. Alex did such a great job relating to these guests and asking such interesting questions.

    An Awesome Everyday Podcast!
I’ve listened to this podcast over the past few years, and literally kept meaning to right this review! Thank you Alex Cooper and the Call Her Daddy team for putting together this show!! It has kept me laughing almost to tears, smiling, and just feeling so intrigued with such an array of topics discussed. It has become my go-to podcast! I had to comment on how insightful the Jane Goodall episode was. As a millennial trying to figure out her purpose still, it really hit home for me and I’m inspired to keep trying to do more as a result! <3

    Could’ve been better
Just listened to the Jane interview. While you mentioned it would be a different episode and all the impact she had, you never explained her research and asked same basic questions you would ask others. This was a time to individualize her and explain what she actually discovered and what impact it would make. I felt lost.

Happy i found a pod for women empowerment
In a world where pods seem to be male-centered

    Stayed for Jane
Came for the hype, staying because Alex had Jane Goodall on. She doesn’t have to be a perfect interviewer. She’s using her influence to do some good in the world. Thank you.

    Good guests
I realized my lower rating was based off of the old show, so I need to update. It’s SO much better now, but could use some work. Alex gets top guests (somehow?) and is becoming a better interviewer (esp compared to the first couple of solo episodes/interviews- yikes!). You can tell when she struggles to relate to things the guest is saying when she says slowly “that is so true” or “you are so right”. It’s her bridge between what they are saying to whatever she wants to steer the convo to, which seems like is her next question card. She does her homework before guests come on, but the convo doesn’t flow. It’s ask, listen to answer, relate answer to herself….repeat, repeat.

    Say “like” one more time
Every other word is “like.” It was making my brain bleed and makes this podcast unlistenable.

    LAZY INTERVIEWER
The solo episodes or episodes are good, I enjoy them. But the rest? Bleh. The interviews are LAZY, theres no pushback to the guest and when the guest go deeper than surface level, Alex quickly jumps to the next topic on her question cards. Please stop to be friends with the guest if you’re going to try to brand yourself as a journalist. Influencers are killing real journalism.

Pretty sure my brain just melted.
The abortion episode turned my stomach and just made me sad. That episode is full of so many lies. It is difficult to understand why anyone would think it’s okay to end an innocent life. Find a different podcast that is life giving and fruitful.

    Surprised
While I find her guests extremely entertaining I would love to see Alex improve her interviewing skills. She used Wikipedia to do her guest research? I think she could do better than that. I’m surprised to see this podcast is #1. Her voice and talking style is shrill and distracting, reminds me of the Valley girls skits from SNL in the 90s.
  • Mr.Ass63
    Trash
I’m convinced that this show is propped up artificially by Spotify and nobody actually likes it. I mean, how could you? Alex is shrill and unlikeable. A terrible interviewer, and frankly, disgusting.

Holy awkwardnesssss . I gotta give it up to Alex for navigating this sit down. This was tough to listen to , he tries to be so deep in his answer but it gets lost with such a jumble of words that at times Alex has to bring him back to the original question. Or straight up ask him what did you just say ??? That was a tough listens
  • ilovecoffeeeeeeee
    Annoying
I’m sorry, but the way Alex talks takes away from her content. In addition, she needs to stop talking so much…let your guests talk, no one cares about what you’re saying, they care about the guest—let them shine.
  • jd djj
    Omg wait
“Wait, I like really admire that about you.” -The extent of Alex’s depth. It feels like the interviewees open up, not because of the profundity of the interview, but bc thats the basis of the show and that’s what they were coming on to do anyway. I’ve heard this show used to be better. What I’ve seen in more recent episodes is very contrived.
  • KOTORevan
    Disgusting, inappropriate trash
Why do people listen to such a trashy show? There’s literally nothing of value here. The topics are completely inappropriate, and these women live up to the hyper sexual, catty, pea brain stereotype.

Please get some current WNBA players as guests! We need women with platforms to be platforming women.

    Nope
We all agree she’s a terrible interviewer, right? But whatevs, haven’t listened ever since the show became a PR machine with no substance. Only came back for a pop in for that weird Chappell interview. So yeah, peace out. (Oh, also, don’t even get me started on the unwell drink and the “talent” on her network)

    Love this- eminently listenable!
I love the deep dives into lives of the guests. Alex creates such a positive and supportive environment. I’m gen x and never would have thought I’d love the show. It’s my new go to for my commute. Pro tip: search out the interviews with gen x stars- they are fascinating!

    What am I missing
This show is really hard to listen to, maybe I have to be a white woman to get it.
  • badreed79
    Bad sound production
I can’t listen to this show anymore. While I think Alex is a talented interviewer, the sound production is terrible. If you can’t get a guest to sit still in front of the microphone, then do some post sound editing to even out the levels. Ads are often at a much higher level and blast my ears if I’m in or wearing AirPods. Come on guys, this is so easy to do with sound software and you have such a budget from SiriusXM! I had to turn the last episode off with Chace in less than three minutes. Also, I’m a middle aged woman and don’t relate to much of what is discussed on the show. I enjoy the conversations with people coming from similar life experiences. I just can’t get into the lives of influencers or reality stars.

    Horrible
Alex is a terrible interviewer. I cannot believe she continues to have this platform and has not gotten better at her job. So embarrassing.
  • bizzysteph
    Interviewing skills are not there
I don’t think she is a good host or interviewer — lacks curiosity and asks very ice breaker questions instead of naturally following the conversation and authentically introducing topics

    Chappell Roan interview
So uncomfortable to watch and listen to.. I really really wanted to like it but woof. The anxiety I felt through the screen was similar to the anxiety I feel being around just bad people in my day to day life. The vibe you get when you first meet someone and you know they’re just a mean person.

    So good
The episode with Megan Fox - who knew she is so witty and brilliant and dark and funny. New favorite and long overdue. Fantastic podcast. 👏🏻🔥🔥
  • denverrach
    Fun listening
The Megan Fox interview was so eye opening and at times hilarious. Alex is a great host who creates a rapport with her guests and gets them to open up so we actually learn something interesting. While this isn’t a self help podcast, I usually come away with some new perspective to reflect on.

    Interview skills...
I have given this podcast the fighting try, listening to multiple episodes.. I would've guessed Alex is 20 not 30 based on the unprofessional interview skills. The questions and interactions are juvenile at best. You leave the interview knowing nothing deep or interesting about the person. And the way she overly uses every person's name that comes on.. it's like a producer told her that's how you connect with the guest and she took it a little too seriously. The cussing is also obnoxious and I am no prude. Just trying way too hard and definitely lacking maturity. There are much better interviews and overall podcast productions out there.

    Fun but racially problematic?
Stop using a blaccent in your ads

    Stop talking Alex
If you’re interviewing them why are you talking more than them or answering for them? And every single time they answer you have to reiterate what they say for 2 minutes. Let THEM talk

    Out of touch
I used to listen weekly, but after the interview with Kamala it turned me away. It was the interview I saw that you basically said you didn’t invite the other candidate. It was your attitude about it. You live a lavish life and are so tone deaf to what us normal people go through. I think your ratings show how people are no longer going to support someone who brags about your lavish rich life. Kamala had zero to offer us American people. WE DON’T WANT MEN IN WOMEN SPORTS

“I have like so much money and I don’t know what to do with it.” So unrelatable and honestly a bit tone deaf to air something like that at this time.

    Interesting
I find it interesting with how big of a name this podcast is there’s absolutely no thought given to when you throw an ad into the podcast.. I listen to much smaller names that have a smoother transition.. I keep thinking my phone is having issues.. oh no it’s just your ad coming in at random moments
  • au008
    Good podcast but bad music
I like the podcast but I really wish there was no music going into and out of the ads. I can’t skip the song fast enough. I would probably listen the ads every once in a while if music didn’t play into and out of the ads. It would be better if she cut all the music out! Also, Alex, please be aware of how much you say “I’m obsessed” throughout the podcasts.
  • CasElizabethan
    Alex, please…
Day 1 listener, and it’s giving privilege more than ever before. Does she realize that the majority of her audience is probably “poor”? Nobody cares about your unrelatable designer clothes and your mansion and your vacations. It feels more and more pick me. Nobody cares that you aren’t 25 anymore, stop trying to make up for it. The brand feels more and more commercial, like the energy drinks? How much money do you need? How is that helping people? Truly she has great skill as an interviewer (when she isn’t trying to make it about herself) and I enjoy every interview, but also what happened to the lighthearted comedy and fun? P.S. she can re-post Spencer’s interview which was a great episode (despite her acting above it), but she couldn’t promote Heidi’s song during the LA fires? Spencer brought attention to the whole situation, creating hope and positivity, it wasn’t just about his own family. Meanwhile she makes 87 posts about the energy drink, practically shoving it down our throats.

    Editing is rough
I’m a brand new listener and in 2 episodes. For this caliber of a podcast, the editing is sub par especially at ad breaks. Dead air, words cut off, the music pre-ad is weird. Obviously the guests are big names and it will continue to draw listeners - but it just seems lazy.

    You can date to date!
The best thing I ever did was challenge myself to go on 30 dates in 90 days leading up to my 30th birthday. You can date to learn more about yourself, your needs, what you are looking for, and none of that can be answered without experience and being open to date lots of different people. You don’t need to date with a relationship in mind. Date to learn more about yourself. Rooting for you Lauren!
