Love the Podcast, but the Audio Needs Work
Been listening to you guys for a while, love the show! Only minor gripe is that it’s very hard for me to hear you guys sometimes, even with volume all the way up. Keep up the good work though!

Great podcast but can’t hear it…
I’m a middle aged man whose been listening to hip hop too loudly for over 30 years. Please turn up the audio. Sometimes it’s so low I can’t even listen to the episode. Besides that, I really do love the podcast. I just wish I could hear it better.

    Very Solid Hip Hop Podcast
The guys can come off a bit pedantic and snobbish at times but their hearts are in the right place. Their love and respect for the culture is unquestionable. Would love to see a spin-off show dedicated to Billy woods.

    Digging, scratching and (sometimes) skipping
This show scratches an itch for me. I don’t live in a place with a lot of hip hop heads and, if I do meet someone to geek out a bit with, their knowledge doesn’t usually doesn’t go beyond the top crust of the underground. DBRP digs deep and I’m always finding new treasure. Plus they’re just smart funny guys whose knowledge and commentary extends beyond hip hop and I’m here for it… except the basketball talk, when the ⏩️ button gets mashed. So long and thanks for all the puns!

These guys shine a podcast on a lot of great new artists as well as golden era heads many may have missed!! Peace and love

The gosh darn daddy’s of rap podcasts
I always enjoy the audible companionship of these fellow socially calibrated rap nerd types in my age bracket. Whether it’s the banter or excellent interviews I love the show. The boys keep me checking out recommendations and hearing artists I dig or wasn’t very familiar with give insights to their process’ and takes.

Nate is the know-it-all who actually knows it all. Demone is the practitioner, the realist, and conversational contrarian. Dave is the humble scholar whose presence grounds us all. The three man weave and the three men we’ve come to endlessly appreciate. They have genuinely taught me almost everything I know about hip hop. ⭐️✨🌠💫🌟

Fine podcast from 3 genuine hip hop fans (although I’d maybe argue one of them tends to stand out as less of a fan lol). My main critique would be they tend to avoid to say anything negative about the music from guests that come on the show - trading honesty for access if you will. I mean you can’t love every album can you?! Ha Also , some sound issues at times.

    Chemistry Set
This is a super trifecta of writers, fans, industry professionals, and everything inbetween. If one is out for a show, or unavailable for the interview, you're still gonna get a good show and chat. Lots of episodes mean that you can find the artists you know first, then start digging in to other shows with those you may not know but want to. It's a living reference guide for more underground and obscure hip-hop ongoing, and especially so.

    Essential listening
The interviews are fun but some of the best parts of this podcast are the banter between the three hosts, who all have unique perspectives on hip-hop, politics, and life and are genuinely passionate and knowledgable about hip-hop culture and music.

    5 Stars High and Rising
Definitely one of the best hip hop podcasts out there. Great conversations and deep dives, and the interviews are on point. Plus, the guys have a good sense of humor and a undeniable passion for the music. It always brightens my week when I see a new episode drop.

Great Podcast for Hip Hop Heads
Great podcast for hip hop heads. Lots of nerdiness (in a good way) about the music we love. I’m not into all the music they’re into but it’s clear that the hosts are informed and genuine fans.

    EXCELLENT
Such a dope pod... very engaging, fun debates about the oft-neglected artists making innovative pushes in the art form. Great interviews and they ask the questions that you (the nerds of all nerds) want to hear 👏huge fan and hope to be on it one day. Salute to Dem (dope emcee too), Nate and David!

    Dope podcast
Well spoken guys, they know their hip hop both current and history. Great variety of guests from rappers to producers to writers to collectors etc . I've learned of several artist through them that I wouldn't have listened to. Also, they are active and respond on Twitter.

Feels like the combat jack show!
Just tuned into my first episode with the Tree interview. You guys got that good rap talk. Gives me the feeling I’ve been missing since combat jack. Looking at the music critically, but remembering to enjoy it first.

Three guys who offer fresh perspectives on all things Hip-Hop, and have great guests. Always a fun listen.

If you love hip-hop, you’ll love this.
Love listening to these guys every week. All three of them are basically hip-hop encyclopedias, but they’re also funny and relatable. I’ve learned about a ton of great music, both new and classic, from this podcast.

    Smart & Funny!
Intelligent talk about an intelligent art form. Great weekly listen!

    So glad this exists
DBRP fills a huge gap in the hip-hop podcast scene, especially for those of us who grew up on '90s backpack rap. The hosts are intelligent and knowledgeable without coming across as obnoxious, and their banter and chemistry make for an entertaining listen even when they stray from talking about rap. Pretty funny dudes. The only thing I'd wish for is better sound quality on some of those phone conversations. Hope this show's around for a long time.
