Dahak66Best territorial review podcastA great look at the Mid South territory from late ‘81 through ‘83. Seems to be on hiatus or finished, as there hasn’t been a new episode in over a year, but I keep rotating through the episodes. As this was my home territory growing up, I watched MSW when it aired, but the detailed commentary from Mike Mills and Brian Last really fills in the missing moments. I feel like I catch something new with each listen.

ToasterBoyListener Beware! January 1, 1983 episode contains a ton of Spoilers!I like this podcast a lot so I’m giving it 5 stars. That said, skip the January 1, 1983 episode if you are watching Mid-South for the first time because the guest host freely gives away plot lines for the upcoming weeks. I can’t believer there isn’t a spoiler tag on this episode. I mean, I get it, this is a 40 year old wrestling show, but some of us are only watching now for the rest time.

Bucky749I’ll never look at mid-south wrestling the same .A great podcast and really well done I enjoyed there take on this great promotion. And the fun there having I can honestly say if have a bad listen to five episodes and then watch the episodes they talked about and you will be smiling at the end like me . Hope they come back and do 1984 as I’d like to hear there thoughts on stagger Lee .

Boyd ReeserLike a Criterion commentary trackOnly a few episodes in but really enjoying this podcast. They give a lot of background info on the wrestlers/angles and point out things that you might not have noticed or appreciated the significance of. Good chemistry between the hosts and there’s plenty of laughs. Like watching a commentary track for a movie almost.
-
Jubilee SavageNew InfoI did not grow up viewing this territory but always heard great things, I am pleased to hear the break downs of the weekly shows. I’m learning a lot.

Buhbuhjay36ChildhoodI grew up watching Mid South. Every Saturday morning my dad and I would sit and watch it together. JYD was our favorite wrestler. This was before I really started understanding wrestling, and started liking the heels.
-
suhr11Great podcastthis is my favorite wrestling podcast other than Jim cornettes’ podcast. I grew up in the attitude era and loved it. I watched all the wwf tapes for the 80s and 90s. I never watched mid south or NWA or have it a second though. Listening to Brian last and mike mills break down old episodes Of mid south wrestling have made me appreciate mid south. I love to go back and watch the episodes. I have discovered this great wrestling show because of this great podcast!

fuchhueEntertaining listeningThe format of this pod cast is brilliant. To go a week by week, and discuss each show was a great idea. I enjoy listening to Brian, and Mike talking about all the nuances, and interesting details about one of the most infamous territories in wrestling history. They have an incredible ability to talk about a television show on a pod cast that keeps you engaged. The two of the do this way better than any other pod cast about wrestling. The banter, insight, history, and humor is second to none. I can’t express my appreciation for the quality entertainment they provide weekly. Thank you gentleman. Keep up the great work.
-
swing band manGreat podcastFor many years, I had heard how great the Mid-South Wrestling television show was with the booking and the commentary of Bill Watts tying everything together so well. With being a lifetime North Carolinian, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling will always be my favorite but Mid-South Wrestling is definitely a close second. Brian and Mike do a fantastic job of summing up everything that is going on with each episode. I truly appreciate that because I have been totally blind for seven to eight years now and their commentary really paints a picture for me to follow. Take care and keep up the good work.

Old radio nutMemoriesThis makes me miss channel 3 out of Shreveport every Saturday. Thanks for the memories, y’all do a great job.

EvPete73Old School FanSuch an amazing job with this podcast. Didn’t grow up watching Mid South, by listening to this podcast and watching on the WWE Network, it reignited the Old School Wrestling fire in me!! Thank you both, keep up the great work!!
-
johnorydupontExcellentI really enjoyed this show. I’m sorry it had to end. It was great while it lasted.
-
Joseph IceThe greatness of Mid-SouthIf you enjoy wrestling and want to know about one of the best promotions in the nation, then subscribe to the Mid-South review show. Mike Mills grew up in the heydays of the promotion and brings a wealth of knowledge, but sadly Brian Last dislike the people from the territory and will make negative comments about Texas, Louisiana, and so on.
-
nickyt727Great review of the best wrestling show of the 80’sThey do an amazing job of recapping Mid South Wrestling! I watch the shows as I listen to this podcast. Love it
-
patsypostalReally informativeI grew up On Long Island, so I never got this region as a kid. This is a great show. A great mix of enhancement and important matches. This would have been my favorite area if I would have been able to see it. Brian and Mike do a great job of presenting these shows each week with a blend of information and passion that makes this a must listen
-
Primefan37Eye openingI’m an old school NWA fan that is born and bred. I was listening to the Mid-Atlantic podcast and kept hearing it reference this Mid-South pod. I had familiarity with Mid-South but no deep seated fandom to rely on. I am completely hooked on hearing about this territory! I waited to review until I had a decent amount of shows under my belt. I now forty or so episodes in and I love it! Great info and insights and I’m probably gonna be rolling over to check out other pods in this network. Great show and great times in wrestling!

Yellow Rose97Love Mid SouthI grew up watching all the territories, especially Mid a South & WCCW. Brian & Mike make this so interesting. I usually go back & watch on the network. Keep up the great work. I love the rapport between you two. Just found podcast a month or two ago. I started listening at the beginning.
-
DonutMan809Mid SouthI really like the show, Mike and Brian give me a lot of facts about the show. I wasn’t born until 1986, so I missed a lot of Mid South, but I love going back and watching the shows. Bill Watts commentary is amazing and I like seeing guys before they become Nationally known. Thanks for the podcast
-

John Charles DeanGood ole rasslin’Growing up in the early 1980’s I spent every Sunday night at the Tulsa Convention Center watching Mis South Wrestling. So many good memories
-
AlexanderjimmyThe unsung hero of wrestling podcasts.Of all the wrestling podcasts I listen to weekly, this is the best. They only talk about what’s on the Marquis... mid-south wrestling. Other podcast, could learn a lot from Brian Last’s hidden gem.
-
Tank the RabbitInconsistentOne of my favorite podcasts to listen to. The problem is that you never know when you can listen to it, because you never know if it will be there.
-
Chucker DBest Territory WrestlingI love hearing the old shows from the Great Mid-South.
-
SWK9420One of my favorite pods, sporadic and random release date is very frustratingTitle says it all. This is one of my absolute favorite pods, wrestling and non-wrestling alike. It’s been great learning about a promotion I only had a very limited familiarity with. Content wise this is a 5star pod all day long. However, the release of new episodes is very random and sporadic. As a listener this is very frustrating. You never know when a new episode will drop. This pod has definitely taken a back seat to other shows on the Arcadian Network in recent months, which is a shame.
-
She Called Me BruceWho listens to this stuff?if your idea of quality entertainment is listening to a couple of random guys talking over a tv show then this might be for you. if the concept sounds horrible to you, you are intelligent enough to avoid. just not good at all.
-
Crooked Vertical Smileuninspired and lackinglistening to boring people talking about a tv show they are watching. ground breaking stuff. at least when Conrad does it it holds your attention. not here pal.
-
Regg FoxxMid south goldGold!!! TGBL and menace are gold
-
DennychimesuaGood clean funThe Great Brian Last and Menace Mike Mills are a great team. I specially love hearing Mike Mills as someone who watched Midsouth as a child. It’s a show I would recommend it to anybody. The guys keep it PG rated unlike the Cornette and BTT shows but keep it very interesting nonetheless. Those guys are blessed and certainly are a blessing to others.
-
Nati GuyRetro at its best!!!I’ve started with episode one, and it’s becoming a daily must!
-
ThrillMurrayReally funI love the idea of territory based linear podcasts, but Brian’s cohost doesn’t have much to say and or much in the way of insight.
-
AzraeliiiiiiiGreat show!Brian and Mike take a nostalgic trip back in time to the early 80’s where Cowboy Bill Watts’ Mid South Wrestling was a perfect combination of athletic competition and personal issues leading to one of the most entertaining and exciting wrestling TV shows of all time! A can’t miss podcast each week!
-
MoonDawg JoeSuperbGreat show, keep up the good work. I love this show each and every week! 👍
-
Grant Scott EllisAwesomeSo great
-
djm182Compelling walk through territory historyBrian and Mike have created a fascinating walk through the glory days of one of wrestling’s best territories. Week by week and segment by segment, this show lays out the players, the angles, and the perspectives. This podcast in sync with the shows available on YouTube or through WWE have become appointment listening/viewing for me and is more enjoyable than any modern wrestling.
-
Paul VercilloThe WelcherThis is Katsabolous here and let me tell you, nothing gets me fired up and ready to face the week ahead like the Mid-South Wrestling podcast. TGBL and Mike Mills, I love you guys, and I can get you a great deal on tires any time....
