Great seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 ruined with political pandering. Unfollowed and will not finish.

There was a lot of planning and research that literally went into this podcast and you can tell that by the way it was very well organized. My husband and I listened to this all the way back home from our trip to the Florida Keys and it was awesome. We really enjoyed it and we’re from Florida and it was a very well done podcast. The stories that were told in all of the episodes really gave you a visual picture in your mind that you could imagine what was going on at that time which is what I really liked about it. my husband said the best thing that he liked was the dedication of the detective Springer and that you could picture it in your mind and it was almost like you were watching a documentary. It was very well put together.

Great journalism amazing storytelling. For cheapskates out there giving 1 star because they could not access all episodes when they wanted - calm down! I’m one of you, but I’m patient and I won’t trash the show because I don’t want to pay. All episodes became available at some point.

I found a great podcast that I could listen to the investigation from the beginning to when the perp is caught. However, they charge you mid season just to listen to the rest. I’m just unsure why you’d do this. People pay for add free listening and some people don’t.

Putting a paywall up mid season is just greedy. I have never come across another podcast that has done this. You have a million ads for a reason, get your money from the corporations, not the people. It’s incredibly greedy and will ensure I won’t be paying.

The content of this podcast (and I’ve listened to all the seasons) is consistently excellent, and the host does a wonderful job with interviews. However, like so many podcasts, the production goes WAY overboard with background music. This is extremely distracting for those of us with hearing and other disabilities that can make processing audible content challenging. Making podcasts accessible, especially those that address important social justice issues, seems fairly fundamental. I understand this may be an oversight - and it’s easy enough to address in future. Thanks.

I am only on S1E2 but the host sounds like she has cotton in her mouth. I’m not sure if this is a lisp or what it might be, but she needs to enunciate.

Just heard the trailer… maybe let’s not have men host podcasts about horrific serial rapes against women? And pitch it to us the way one might pitch a spooky ghost story? Just a suggestion!

As someone who has worked with trafficking victims in Florida, I’m constantly blown away by the misconceptions and conspiracy theories surrounding trafficking, especially with minors. Kids who are trafficked are not stolen off the street and kidnapped, they are coerced and groomed by predators. Parents spend more time worrying about their kids being stolen from a public bathroom than they do worrying about who they are talking to online or spending time with. I recommend season three to everyone who needs more information about the complicated reality of sex trafficking. It is a tough listen, but it is an accurate depiction of how victims are targeted and exploited.

I live in Fort Lauderdale so I started listening to the podcast to hear more criminal activity happening in South Florida. I’m just blown away with season 3, I’m visualizing where these girls were because I know the city so well. I am just so saddened by these young girls stories. It’s really nice to hear this podcast keeping their stories alive. I’m praying more is done to protect young women from these monsters 🥺 Great reporting done here by really passionate people.

Just started listening. Too complicated, not straight forward and, that’s the worst, original phone calls which are hard to hear. Poor audio makes me delete any podcast immediately. Original phone calls fall into that category. Seems to me like the podcasters are lazy and feel the need to fill time. But for me, that’s a waste of time.

Season four; compelling story, well told

Why do the reviews and ratings appear to be google translate text messages and grocery lists? This podcast suuuuuuuccckkkks One star so it sticks. Zero stars so it leaves.

Season 3 is eye opening and heartbreaking. While I was aware of the problem of trafficking in Florida, I was stunned by the stories of these women and girls. The lack of resources and urgency dedicated to it was staggering; especially when it was reported in real time! Great job.

As a grown man I don’t feel I need a person who is telling horrific details about crimes and sexual offenses to then have an episode taking about a “name” being used and offensive, yet they feel it’s to “offensive” to tell us. Just stop. With all the content this producer puts out don’t start caring about others feelings about a “name”. When “journalist” start leaving details out for “your well being”, you have to start questioning what else they felt I “couldn’t handle”. Stick to the stories and facts, if you didn’t want the named used because of how offensive it was, why talk about it in an episode for over 10 minutes. Isn’t the content of this podcast in itself offensive, rape of children.

Great podcast especially the stories about trafficking.. it needs to be put out there more. I live in florida and this is so scary. We need to protect our children boys and girls from these sickos. Keep putting it out there and for law enforcement to take accountability..

I think my last review was just begging for this podcast to come back and thankfully, they’re back and better than ever. I’ve been a podcast junkie since before anyone one knew what a podcast was. I listen to a lot of sociopolitical pods and tons of true crime stuff. That being said, I like to think of myself as fairly discerning and this is honestly one of the BEST podcasts I’ve ever listened to. In-depth, thoughtful, sensitive, thorough and great production-this pod hits all the marks. I still haven’t finished with season 3 but I’ve already learned so much and I am just so blown away by the work of these Sun Sentinel investigative reporters. If they’re any indication of the quality journos that work there, then the citizens of Broward County should be so thankful to have the SS as their primary news source. Thank you so much for covering a horrific topic in such an informative, sensitive, thoughtful, and comprehensive way.

The stories & the presentation is good, but running the background music during most of the podcast is extremely irritating & has actually caused me to no longer follow.

Did not like that instead of reviewing a true crime case and details they spent to much time airing their grievances about who didn’t like the show and who did. Who didn’t give them records and more complaining about the systems then review of case. I was looking for true crime not bashing and complaining.

I loved this podcast when it originally came out. I stopped following when nothing new came out for YEARS. Now you want me to pay for a subscription to listen. I think not. Tooooo long In-between new episodes.

Horrible selection of music for the podcasts. It is so off and does not fit, it is annoying. I am intrigued by the stories, but the music just really ruins the whole experience. Cancelling my membership

Season 3 was announced months ago. Where is it?

Did you all know the S3E1 title says “Sophie Reed” and not ReedER? I doubt it got cut off because I’ve seen a lot longer titles in other podcasts. The overall content of your podcast is great! Love it. Just wish for such good journalism there would be more drive for perfection in even the “petty” details.

Just subscribed to Wonderly+ but can’t access season 3. App shows me a link to “all 7 episodes to season 3, but when I click on it it only shows me the trailer.

Not what I expected having been a fan of the show but the new episodes were interesting and kept me hooked. Can’t believe what happens to these kids. Keep this show coming.

This show is very well done. Thoughtful storytelling with caring hosts. I binged all the episodes in one day. I almost didn’t listen though, because the cover design looks like a sensationalist gore fest. Don’t ignore the show because of that.

Not sure if I’ll finish it. It is so poorly produced. Lots of gaps in dialogue. Feels like a young person wrote it. Huge gaps between sentences. It also seems to be more complicated than it has to be. I honestly have never had to go back listen to podcasts Bc I missed smth but I was constantly repeating things with this one Bc they just don’t explain things clearly. Ugh! I really wanted to love it.

I’m so sorry, but the host is so so boring. I’m driving listening and literally falling asleep. There’s no inflection in the voice, no sound effects no music does. It’s the worst Wondery podcast I’ve ever listened to and Wondery‘s are always my favorite! I’m so sorry I am usually never rude to people but I literally almost crashed and I was so bored.

I must say I’m loving listening to our local area crimes ! Without a doubt EmmaKates voice is the best for this ! I could listen to her voice all day long . Make more please and have it be her voice :))
