    Real life explored
It’s so easy to hide behind a mask of pretense so everyone thinks you’re perfect. Kate reveals her realness and invites those she interviews to do the same. I find my faith grounded in this Realness.

A community to walk you through life with kindness, grace and honesty
I have so appreciated this podcast- I can’t think of one that hasn’t helped me connect both with my humanity and empathize with others. I’m a thinker > feeler- and this helps me feel- and be real- especially focusing on listening and blessing by being>doing. I highly recommend for Gen X and Boomers to learn /understand what the following generations need from us- understanding and grace.

*Being* human, loving, soulful and in community with others
Kate & guests reach into life’s deep waters where overwhelm seems like near drowning to bring discernment and laughter with gentle reminders and calls to action. The podcast is sunshine across the deep waters creating a rainbow to which I tie my soul, a little more prepared for the next life haul. Must Read: No Cure for Being Human. Kate’s book nicely frames the podcast’s discussion of humanity and vulnerability and coping. Listening is pure fellowship.

    Thank you Kate
This podcast is amazing and everyone needs to listen. Thank you Kate for your gentle wisdom, honest humility, relatable humor, and sweet interactions with your guests. You make me want to be better (by recognizing my own worth and realizing there are others out there who are experiencing similar difficulties and hopes in this crazy human journey).

    I Never Miss a Week!
WOW - what a life-enhancing experience this is. I look so forward to it. So real, so true, so loving. I’m even noticing - after listening for YEARS - that I’m beginning to tap a lot like Kate, especially her empathetic “Aws…”. Looking forward to many many years and decades with you, dear one!

    Food for Thought
I have had to create a new section in my journal just to write down insightful things that Kate and her guests say on the podcast. She talks about real issues in an insightful way that I still think about days after listening to an episode.

    Funny, thoughtful, poignant
Kate’s podcast and books have been a lifeline in a rough season, inspiring me, challenging me, making me laugh and think and cry. This is my go-to podcast and I can’t recommend highly enough. Stick around for the blessing at the end of the show…it always hits just right.

    Ease
I’ve been looking for the “miracle cure” for what seems like eternity. I don’t think there is one. Now I look for little, tiny moments of ease. Ease from sadness, ease from frustration, ease from the madness of life and Kate Bowler’s podcast gives me that. Little pockets of ease - where for I can maybe take a few deeper breaths or I can feel my muscles relax just a smidge. It helps.

    My #1 Go-To podcast
I started following Kate’s work through her books (which are also fabulous) when I was diagnosed with incurable cancer. I found her voice, her words, her vulnerability and authenticity a balm for my weary heart. So listening to her podcast was a natural progression with the added benefit of actually hearing her speak. Her interviews/topics are varied and vast but are always, always authentic and rich. She makes me laugh (she’s very funny!) and then cry in the span of minutes. Her blessings at the end have the power to make you feel like she’s speaking directly to you. I learn a lot and simultaneously feel held. You’re a wonder, Kate, thank you.

Wisdom for life in a crazy world
Kate is wise beyond her years and draws more wisdom from her guests. Even if you think an episode isn’t for you, listen for 6 minutes before you decide.

    Because Everything Really Does Happen
Whenever I find a podcast that makes me talk back to the host, like every time Kate introduces herself I find myself chiming back—hey, Kate, I know that podcast is a keeper. I feel like we are sitting across from each other in our PJs telling each other our stories because when someone tells their story, whether it is Kate or one of her amazing guests, I feel like my story is being heard and I feel seen and supported. I can feel the healing happening—for all of us. And that, my friends, is a good thing.

My GOTO Podcast on my Golden Retriever Walk!
Since I was introduced to Kate a couple of years ago, I’ve become a regular listener on my dog walks! I find these podcasts open a door in my psyche for a new topic, a new way of thinking about things, varied and non-political in today’s environment . From the LA Rabbi, to Coach K, to ideas for beneficial use of AI and Melinda Gates….. I always come away stimulated, thinking fresh and wanting more. Often her simple prayers at the end are just the comfort and inspiration I need THAT DAY. Keep it up! I am so grateful for you and your fabulous team.

    Inspirational Real Grace
I have listened to this podcast from its beginning, read many of Kate’s books, journeyed through Advent and Lent and the many blessings. I truly feel Kate and the Everything Happens community has sustained me and guided me in my faith walk these past few years! You are all a great blessing to me!!

    The Balm
Everything Happens has been a gift for my spirit, especially when I’m feeling melancholy and crave the comfort of connection, understanding and a dose of real. Kate Bowler is that for me. Today’s episode with Melinda Gates was especially beautiful.

    Kate’s conversation with Simone Gorrindo
What an enthralling and candid conversation! I vividly remember my first deployment. The saddest room I had ever been in, at that point, was the hanger where my soldiers said goodbye to their families. Until that point I could only see what we had to do, but not what others were leaving behind. Bless you both! - Ken M

    REAL
Kate, simply put, is REAL! Kate is honest, grounded, spiritual, but not in your face, FUNNY, and good for the soul. Listen for yourself and come up with your own list of superlatives. Thanks Kate for being YOU!

    Simply glorious!
As one who loves to write and search for words to describe the world around me, God will sometimes let me stumble upon someone or something that defies words. My heart comes to attention. Kate is one of those “defiers”! She embodies empathy, humor, depth, and gratitude; and she works her way into the deepest of heart places before we even notice. She brings out the best and most beautiful of her guests. This podcast is simply gold.

A balm for these uncertain times
What an absolute gift this podcast is to all of us who struggle with life‘s constant uncertainties. 2025 has been a doozy and it’s only March 3. Kate’s work (which I have enjoyed for years to be clear) is such a balm for the aches and pains that this beautiful life brings. Thank you to Kate and her guests and the team that makes this wonderful podcast possible. I enjoy it as often as it pops up in my feed! Please keep up this most excellent work.

Thank you Kate and crew. Thank you for sending out these podcast episodes like little beacons of light. Because sometimes the little glimmers are just what we need when we feel like we have become the darkness. It helps remind us that there is something else to reach for.

    Thank You!
I can’t tell you how many times I have said, “I heard something incredible from this Podcast I listen to by Kate Bowler.” I discovered you shortly after losing my 12 year old daughter to a rare and sudden illness. The way you speak the language of grief and lament is refreshing and a balm to my hurting heart. Your honest and raw and messy response to deep loss is more real than any other grief expert I have encountered. You and Your guests have been some of my most favorite teachers in life and I thank you for creating the platform they are invited to stand on.

The most beautiful voice I need in my ear 24/7!
Kate, you have transformed my faith and the way I look at life and people. Your voice affirms the thoughts and feelings my heart believes, but doesn’t know it should trust, because I am “just me.” I love the way you love your friends and wish I could be a part of your most intimate posse. You are a beautiful human. I love you for sharing your real and profound story. Please keep going.

    Thank you for the blessings
Kate, l love your ending blessings as well as those in your books. I have used them many times, sharing in cards or in a Bible class. The interviews are some of my faves in all the podcasts. Your compassion oozes through the microphone! Keep on with this good work. It is so needed. FYI: I have become an expert in grieving (mainly my own) because my 21 yr old daughter died in an accident 22 years ago. Your blessings would have truly helped me back then but continue to provide comfort today.

My commute is better because of this podcast
I love this podcast! I learned about this podcast in a grief support group three years ago. I then started listening to Kate’s podcast from the beginning, and then when I was caught up I listened to her books. I get excited every Tuesday when a podcast drops and my commute is made better by having Kate as my companion.

    Such comforting words
I found Kate’s podcast several months ago a little less than a year after my husband passed away suddenly. Her raw honesty about life in general and life in the context of faith has been a comfort to me as I navigate life without my favorite person. Thank you, Kate, for your kind voice and your incredible wisdom.

    Beautiful, intelligent podcast
This podcast is life giving. Kate interviews people who have such wisdom and beautiful stories, and her reflections at the end leave me with a lot to think about after every episode. This podcast demonstrates the value in learning from each other and in taking time to listen to each other’s stories, where we can find connection and meaning for our own lives. I look forward to every episode.

    Heart healing
Kate and her guests heal my heart every week. I leave every episode feeling less anxious and more hopeful.
  • DragonVGC
    Long time listener
For the three years that I have listened, Kate’s conversations never fails to bring an exhale, a tear, a smile, a resonance from deep within, a hope or sometimes all of the previous in one episode. I’m sorry for the pain in the part of her story that brought the podcast (and book title it follows) to life AND I’m repeatedly grateful for the beauty she has allowed to come from that place… and that she continues to bring transparent, vulnerable, sometimes hard topic conversations into a space that fosters life.
