This podcast appropriately bills itself as being one spent with "the three best friends you never knew you had." Not only are there amazing discussions with some of the most noteworthy stars in the history of professional wrestling, but listeners are treated to a journey through the actual lives of the host and co-host, both in real time and in meaningful reflection. I have laughed and I have cried and I have laughed even more and feel so grateful to now be a part of the community that encompasses this show. Although I am a little late to the party, my philosophy is "everything in its time," and I'm now on board for life, which this podcast does such an excellent job of breaking kayfabe on!

Love the show and am happy to have found the brothership. Great show with a wealth a wrestling knowledge which I enjoy but this is the one podcast the wife, who is in food service ( manager or server) uh-hem, manager. She loves all the food service talk and even laughs at Florida man Keep up the great work

Truly the two (three) best friends I never knew I had. Unless you like toenail fungus or Ewoks, this is the show for you!

Gave this show a third chance. The only wit to be found is stuck producing the show, as Lou Kippleman is always funny and has a deep wrestling knowledge. The weakest link remains Bowdren, whose forced juvenile jokes and tired catch phrase prattle is even worse than years ago. Barry can amuse and provide insight, but his weepy dad stuff might be better appreciated by the Brothership, a group that seems far too needy to consider joining.

Breaking Kayfabe with Bowdren and Barry breaks the mold of wrestling podcasts! They talk about everything wrestling and non-wrestling related! You’ll hear them discuss music, food, books, TV, movies, and more. Lastly, one of the things I love about them is that even though they are two old school guys they don’t make it a point to crap on modern wrestling! Give it a listen!

So happy to hear that Bowdren The Booker made cancer tap the F-out in a steel cage grudge match! Also, love the way Barry says “Wres-el-ing”... Not at all Jewish. Love you guys!

If you enjoy this pod, you’d be 100% correct. Anyone with a negative opinion of this show appears to be a basement dwelling bed wetter. Great pro wrestling talk along with movies, music and FOOD! When listening to the podcast, they have a great way of making you feel like you are sitting at a table with them. This is one of only a select few I have on auto down-load, keep up the great work guys!

Just so any potential listeners know. The one-star reviews on 7/28, 10/10, 10/11, and 10/17 were all written by the same sad person that has a personal issue with the owner of Arcadian Vanguard which produces this show. This person has been brigading all of the A/V podcasts with erroneous reviews. It’s highly doubtful that this person actually listened to any of the podcasts, and therefore his/her opinion should be taken with a grain of salt (if you even read them to begin with). It’s really unfortunate some people that failed in life can’t take the time out to work on themselves. Instead, they take the shortcut which is just to try and bring others down to make themselves feel better. That feeling never lasts long though, does it?

Absolutely love this podcast. The hosts are great and discuss everything from wrestling, food, movies, TV and life. You really feel like you know them. Give it a listen and I’m sure you’ll become a fan, too!

I like wrestling, but I’m not a super fan... this show has something for everyone... they talk about many different topics, cultural touchstones, movie reviews, the infamous men of Florida ... highly recommended

I stumbled upon BKWB&B thru Cornette’s two podcasts and the 605 now it is the one I look forward to most. Jeff Bowdren and Barry Rose are awesome it’s like listening to two of your best friends discuss wrestling and life.

Jeff Bowdren and Barry Rose are wrestling history gurus (who will also praise the current stuff when it is warranted). But, they also know how to create an engaging podcast that sounds like hanging out at the pub with your best buds. They talk classic mat stuff, great meals, great movies and TV, and great music. Very cool stuff that sets this show apart from the plethora of wrestling podcasts that are current out in podcast land.

Lots of different topics covered. Match ratings and discussions are my favorite. I enjoy the derp dives in wrestling history and lively debate about things such as Hall of Fame candidacy.

Jeff and Barry bring it every week on a consistent basis on a wide range of topics. There’s always something for everyone and usually something that grabs your attention though you never thought it would. Truly the two best friends you never knew you had.

Every episode is amazing and it gets better and better everytime and the guys are very knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and check it out you’ll love it . Also, the bad reviews you see it’s only because there’s a few butt hurt fruitcakes Who are very jealous that they wish they can do a podcast like this one. The pair of Jeff and Barry have hit a demographic on the tip of the needle for me. From discussing classic wrestling angles to pop culture discussions, most of the topics are either about things I enjoy. If not, the hosts are so engaging that I get drawn in. The only gap is I know both hosts also love college and pro sports, and between Jeff’s knowledge of college football history and Barry’s experiences as a New Yorker during the Rangers and Knicks 1994 runs I’d love to hear them expound more on both. But, that is selfish on my part and I don’t think the rest of the audience be as responsive as me. This is the most fun podcast I listen to regularly. Give them a listen.

Can’t wait to hear who they get for the next fanfest in April.

Breaking Kayfabe with Bowdren and Barry is excellent. They discuss food, movies, music, wrestling, and many other interesting topics. The subject matter covers a wide range of topics and the interviews answer the questions nobody else thinks to ask. Their unsolved mysteries episodes are fantastic. I’ve been a fan of this podcast since it started and the show keeps getting better. I highly recommend this podcast to everyone.

What was once a great show is now just a show that seems to repeat itself. It is a "let me tell you about my bad meal" and "I saw a bad movie" podcast that has become increasingly boring. Just 2 old white guys complaining about anything and everything but doing it in a calm voice. Think Jim Cornette on a double dosage of his meds and you have these 2 clowns. A lot more misses than hits in the past year. No longer a required download.
