They need some more trades getting some new palyers

When the old crew ran it , I gave the podcast four stars. It was pretty good and I really enjoyed the quote. What’s up on the farm “. segment. They were a little overly optimistic about some of the prospects but at least they gave you some detailed info, so you can keep up with all the islander draft picks in college Europe, and the minors… the new crew basically talks about themselves a little bit too much and doesn’t really get you any details that you don’t already know… It’s a decent show, but I wish it had a little more substance… also we don’t need one of the co-hosts is as a sports gambler. This knucklehead is constantly patting himself on the back about how good he is a picking games … let’s just talk islanders. Im going to keep listening as podcasts tend to get better over time… Hope this one will..

Andy is a great addition to this podcast. He knows hockey through and through, and has excellent intuition when it comes to identifying trends before they are obvious. He is a passionate fan, so you know his analysis is straight from the heart. Make sure to check out his Santa Brawl video!

Amazing podcast

Hosts changed and now it’s more negative and abrasive then it was before when it used to be more like hanging out with friends. Just not the same friendly vibe it had. Still listen but skipping a bit where I never did before but it’s more further down the list.

This used to be one of my favorite podcasts that I always looked forward to. Now under these new guys it’s just a boring exercise in condescension. The apparent self-proclaimed comedian, who has never played hockey a day in his life is the absolute worst personality (or lack thereof) in podcasting.

I don’t know who the hater is but he’s missing the point of this interesting and intelligent conversation. I personally love the back and forth, both of you are well matched. I like that Andy doesn’t sugar coat it. I think starting sentences with “I” is not necessarily egotistical.

Fair analysis and mostly interesting. The big problem is Andy Francess. Nobody could ever love Andy as much as he loves himself. Doubt this? Sit down and log how many of his takes begin with “I”. Vainglorious is an understatement. He is insufferable. From his time as an actor to the job that pays him so well, with him you’ll get an idea about the Isles that somehow always put him in the position of indulgent axis upon which all Long Island rotates.

No longer the Matt & Mitch magic. Entirely different show. I used to look forward to every Thursday but no longer. All good things must come to an end I guess. I frequently skip episodes altogether.

Solid reporting. Appreciate the insight into the prospects and young guys overseas. Please stop the Kermit the Frog voice.

This is hands down the best Islander Podcast for the following reasons: 1. Consistency - There are multiples shows per week and they never mail it in with short episodes. 2. Information - The hosts present both regular and fancy stats to support their arguments, but aren’t shy about sharing opinions or hot takes either. “Down on the Farm” segment is the best source of info on isles prospects all over the world. 3. Entertainment - Matt and Mitch have a good report and are very funny. They don’t take themselves too seriously and clearly enjoy what they’re doing. Thank you both for getting me through some terrible commutes! Keep it up!

I just got into hockey about a year ago but have quickly and deeply fallen in love with the sport and the Islanders. I have been trying to find a hockey podcast but they all seem to focus on Canadian teams and little on others, so since the Islanders are my team this is perfect! I subscribed to your Patreon $5, I’m a single mom at the moment since my husband is deployed and this is perfect to keep up with the pieces I miss sometimes! I flew from Arkansas for 24 hours just to see game 4 in NY, so I’m excited to have found this podcast and have the chance to listen to you guys, I LOVE IT! And recommend the Patreon podcast as well!

You guys can find a way to work Josh Ho Sang into just about any conversation huh. Have you not realized after 2 clears of waivers that the rest of the league values JHS in the same way the Isles do. Safe to say, and anyone that knows hockey at any kind of level can attest, Leo has built up a bank of stability reliability and trust amongst his coaches and teammates. The nickname uncle Leo doesn’t come out of thin air. Hockey is a team game. Geez! Haven’t you seen miracle on ice!!! What does HB say? “ I don’t want the best players I want the right players” It’s great to hear anyone talking isles but you fellas need to get better . Although it is amusing listening to Mitch and Mike second guess the lineup decisions of one of the winningest coaches in the history of the sport

These guys love their Islanders but bring a nice perspective and objectivity to their pod. If you want a relaxed up to date review of all things Islanders this is your go to. Great pod that I listen to weekly.

I would be lost on my commute without Matt and Mitch. They provide honest and emotion-filled coverage of the Islanders, backed up with in-depth stats that makes this a go-to for any Islanders fan.

Good podcast. A lot of islanders info. Just wish sometimes they weren’t figuring out all of the stats on the fly and/or bantering so much. About 10x per episode Matt says “yeah...I think... that sounds about right”. That being said, they cover all of the bases better than I ever could.

This is a terrific podcast if you’re interested in the NY Islanders. Matt and Michel have a great repertoire and always have something substantive to talk about. They put out episodes at regular intervals and they’re all well structured and easy to follow. I highly recommend it!

Appreciate the pod for sure. This won’t stop me from listening but One of the hosts says “ooof” all the time, which is kinda wack, but still a great listen.

First-rate pod, the guys know their stuff, and provide insightful analysis. They publish their pods on a timely basis, too, my only small critique is that one host has an unfortunate habit overreacting when the going gets tough and whining and whinging - the February 26 pod was a great example of this when the Islanders failed to make a deal at the trade deadline. I wanted to jump through my smart phone speaker and in the words of Don Vito Corleone tell him “YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN”! That aside, I highly recommend the show.

As an Islanders fan in Seattle, this is a great podcast to hear a couple of fans talk about the Islanders and to keep in touch with Islanders news.

The guys do a really great job at analyzing moves by the islanders. The frequently put together made up (yet realistic) lineups and scenarios which makes things interesting. They are also pretty funny so you’ll get a few laughs out of the podcasts.

hey i’m a devout isles fan and there is certainly a number of Islanders podcasts to choose from, and I listen to many (Isle Seat, Islanders Anxiety, PT Isles, Isles Buzz, The Secondary Assist). While those are all good, this one is generally my favorite. Co-hosts Mitch and Matt are a delightful “the odd couple” style pairing, where Matt is sorta more the weary curmudgeon fan while Mitch is sort of a more patient glass-half-full kinda guy when they talk shop on the team, players, prospects, hypothetical roster moves, and more. They don’t seem as “connected” to isles media guys or players so don’t expect call ins from players, Andrew Gross, Arthur Staple, etc if that’s important to you. But what you DO get is a fun, engaging podcast that will often have you laughing, especially after you realize the age/culture gap between both hosts, one of which (Mitch) is an Isles fan by way of Ottawa. There’s something charming in that. Awesome podcast guys. Highly recommended.
