AngelasPOVSpicy historyIf you want your women’s history with a side of spice and a possible hangover, then this is the podcast for you! Both hosts are hilarious and entertaining, and I learn quite a lot about history while also giggling manically. I love history, but women’s history has been a bag of dicks, but luckily, Katy and Nathan will tell you all about it with jokes from G to R. Highly recommend!

Sofíe IsabellaOne of the BEST Ever PodcastsWith the abundance of history podcasts out there, it can be difficult to stick out from the crowd. But, my god. Katy and Nathan take the cake for the most entertaining, unique history podcasts! This show has gotten me through so many bad days. I could not be more grateful for the laughs and amazing stories these two have brought me!
-
midwestcoastbeanThis podcast is everythingI love history and I love these two. I learn so much from them and am always excited for a new episode. I absolutely love love love love this podcast! The humor is spot on—funny without trying too hard, and it feels so natural. Katie and Nathan have amazing chemistry, and their personalities really shine through, making every episode feel like you’re just hanging out with friends. They keep it real, relatable, and always manage to bring in fresh takes that keep me hooked. Whether I’m laughing along or learning something new, it’s a great time every time

TBD2346534Google search really?!?!The episode depicting cleopatra was complete hogwash!!! The information in that particular episode is on Google. Not that Google can’t be “trusted” but it shouldn’t be the main source. There is no hieroglyphics or reliable ancient text pertaining to cleopatra including that she was not of Egyptian descent or African descent is a whitewashed story-tale that only feeds misinformation. Instead, just say “ there’s not enough evidence to support the claim “ SIMPLE!!!!! But because the host are predominantly white, they’re bias!!!!!

Furniture Girl 256Queen Consort ReviewI have been a fan of the show since the early days (really I think season 1 live-release) and I love the show. Katie and Nathan’s relationship is warm and joyful; they share that energy as they explore accomplished and determined women through history. Their exploration is well-researched, thoughtful, and more of a fun, conversational style versus the dry, traditional approach. To this day I periodically relisten to the episodes on the Agrippinas and Eleanor of Aquitaine because I find the women fascinating and Katie and Nathan’s perspective amusing. Obviously, the Explicit label is provided for a reason so take that into consideration if you are curse-word-averse. But, seriously, we are tired of complaints about cursing; they warn listeners at the beginning of every episode.

JuliasayreExactly as advertisedAn entertaining take on women in history with cuss words and raunchy jokes

StefD43AH-MAZING!Truly, one of the few podcasts I cannot wait to drop. Not only are they informative, but they do so in such an entertaining way sharing tidbits I guarantee you’ve never heard of, even if you’re familiar with the subject. As someone who is going through some seriously scary health issues, not just the information they share, but the smiles and full on belly laughter they provide me each episode is such a welcome distraction from the crazy of life and give me such a reprieve to just relax and have FUN, even if just for an hour or so. I hope you both know the positive impact you have on people who so need even that hour escape to just relax and learn and smile. You are two beautiful souls, inside and out. Love you both dearly. And please, never stop the cursing and vulgarity. I find both very quotable!

ThatOneGallMissing basic knowledgeYou have a historical podcast about queens and in episode 3, you confess you don’t know what the holy Roman emperor ruled or anything about their role? That’s such a basic piece of human history that lasted for 1000 years. Between that and the awkward giggling, I couldn’t make it more than 10 minutes. There’s a way to make history fun while also being well informed. This isn’t it.
-
NicknamesAreAllTaken8888DangI wanted to like this so badly, but the hosts enjoy trading bad jokes/banter more than sharing interesting information.
-
jpoleary93Love love love.Love your friendship. Love your jokes. Love the history and story telling and LOVE when Tandy is on. Please please add a couple more including her they’re so much fun to go deeper with the subjects.
-
mommma dLove this show!I love history so much and I love their humor too. I’ve got three little kids so at the end of the day I love putting my headphones and listening to something where I learned something but also was entertained. Definitely make sure you wear headphones if you have littles though since they swear but frankly I enjoy having something that isn’t kid friendly after a day of listening to kids music.

Mad hatters daughterI’ve binged this show so hard I love itHi Katie and Nathan! Just wanted to say I’m a huge fan of your show and it gives me energy while I’m working. I just got done with the madame pompadour episode and I was flabbergasted when I learned that she passed on April 15th on Palm Sunday. It’s a crazy coincidence because I was born on April 15th on Easter Sunday 😂 thank you for your hard work
-
Lady Raj, Mistress of HorseBig fat recommendThis is such a fun podcast ! If you fell in love with history by way of a teacher in school who made the lessons into stories, you’ll be absolutely tickled here. A casual tone that reminds of us that cool teacher, except the dialogue has grown along with us (they cuss and it’s perfect, trust me. Start with the Tudor wives)

meow241More Podcasts with Tarot please!!! :DJust to start, I absolutely love this podcast as it is. I love the friendship and banter between the hosts “babies don’t need jobs” and I find myself using their quips throughout the day, “aaaagain”. Each episode is a treat! However, since they’ve brought Tandy in for a couple episodes to read tarot and give her opinion on some of history’s mysteries, I am just OBSESSED! I need more, I crave more, what an absolute dream combination in one podcast. Keep up the excellent work!! Until next time… “don’t Google it”.

Chickabee76Love Love LoveAbsolutely love this podcast and i am sorry i only found it now. It is engaging and learning is fun and easy to retain. I love Royal shenanigans.

Gina Demeostarted from the beginning!obsessed so far, but could do without the random taylor swift insults for no reason
-
minionpantsI don’t care, I LOVE IT!!!!!I absolutely and utterly LOVE this podcast. Katy and Nathan do an AMAZING job with explaining history. I love that they also swear too. This show is one of my favorites and it always puts me in a good mood. Thank you Nathan and Katy.

Mlolo153One of the best! This is one of my favorite podcasts! It’s informative, hilarious, and is a sure way to add levity and giggles to my day. Cant recommend it highly enough!
-
JanelibeansGreat podcastAs avid history lover and educator, I can be a bit picky about what history podcasts that I listen to. This podcast is great! It’s like having a few drinks with your besties while talking history! (Something I actually do with some of my friends.) The hosts manage to bring entertaining stories of amazing women while still bringing light to “bag of d**ks” that complicates history. It’s not easy to do, but they do it well in my opinion. I found this podcast on a road trip, it’s been fun binge listening.
-
Cata starHysterical History10/10 and I need to one day see a ‘Drunk History’ tv version of this podcast with Katy & Nathan doing to voiceovers 😂
-
WhatHowIsSarahTakenAbsolutely historic chaos in the best wayWide range of women. Ridiculous jokes and side comments. Not too serious and wonderfully delightful.
-
BryceA1996ObsessedI’m obsessed with Katy & Nathan! I learn so much!
-
Mac9021Love the podcast but Nathan is annoyingNathan always seems wasted and cuts Katie off when she is talking. Sometimes he’s so drunk he doesn’t make any sense. His laugh is also super obnoxious. Otherwise the podcast is great, the material is well researched and the commentary is funny. Nathan just needs to chill.
-
maddmaddi93I really wanted to like this podcast but,The topics and people covered in this podcast are so interesting to me but the way that it’s done is awful. I really tried to like it but after listening to the first four seasons (or years), I’m giving up. Firstly, I hate the way they describe the people they’re talking about, the only way I can describe it is somehow misogynistic but also towards men? They’re talking about important historical figures and all they can do is talk about how hot these people are and how big their “members” are. Speaking of that, Secondly, the vulgarity. I have no problem with the cursing at all but making everything about sex and talking about people as if they are walking sex organs is pretty obnoxious. Thirdly, they butcher everyone’s names, especially the people of color. The nicknames are annoying, but especially when they’re used for non western cultures I find it super offensive. I also hate the way they use AAVE to try to be cool when it just comes off as gross and racist. Lastly, they need to stop pouring drinks and eating in their microphones. It’s so gross to hear all the time. Just edit it out or do it further away from the microphone.

Cherise_youwannaHeeeeyyy FriendsI love this podcast! Learning while laughing.

amberghiniPour reviewDo you love listening to the clanking of ice and liquid pouring into a glass? You’re gonna LOVE this podcast. I enjoy the humor that Katie and Nathan bring to this show, but boy howdy - listening to what feels like a constant pouring of liquid is annoying as ****. I know they drink during the show and it’s a whole “thing” - but JHC, please pause and edit that ish out. Small, petty complaint from a petty *****. Otherwise, enjoy their perspective and take on women in history.
-
crzytielmaIf you want a serious history podcast pass on thisI am super interested in history but wanted something outside of the normal ones I listen to that are kind of dry and just spit facts at you. While I love those too I needed something that didn’t put me to sleep at work lol. Enjoy the side comments and back and forth between the hosts, literally could care less they Americanize names etc because honestly who cares this isn’t meant to be a serious historically perfect podcast. They give a great background on every person they speak about and do the best they can to tell things that are accurate to the best of their ability to research. Let’s be real records of women in history are sparse at best and even super famous or infamous women that were written about were written about by men who viewed them as inferior so like why bother being accurate. I appreciate they try to find facts about these women and don’t focus on the men they are connected to and leave the women as an afterthought
-
Kimmy589ObsessedI love Katy and Nathan’s energy! I’m a sucker for history already but these two make it even more fun. They’re able to strike the right balance of being funny and lighthearted (when appropriate) while still being respectful. I get so excited whenever a new episode drops because it’s like hearing from two of your friends.
-
MrsCrazyPantsIt’s fun, but…It’s a fun, silly podcast to listen to while doing other things. Their grammar is atrocious, they can’t be bothered to learn how to pronounce names other than standard western names, and it’s poorly researched. I still enjoy it, but take it with a grain of salt.
-
klc134426854Authentic and ClassyGod these hosts are wonderful! Very authentic and classy!
-
Daviskye86Truly a gem!Nathan and Katy are truly a gem and I get a little bit of a serotonin boost whenever I see a new episode drop. As a history major, specifically studying royalty, and a huge gossip nerd, I gotta say their research is usually more accurate than most. And I love hearing their perspective on things! I was one of the fortunate ones who got to pick a topic in this season, and Katy was so sweet to talk to and get the topic started. They are amazing! Katy’s random rants about things she’s grateful for should be its own show!
-
Marschell KeithLove them!!I’ve become such a huge fan of Katie and Nathan!! They are funny and educational! They explain everything in way I can understand and I don’t fall asleep, always kept on my toes. Keep it up Queens! I love y’all!! Ps. I love the cussing and dirty talk. lol keep it up!
-
ueuehdhdybbehxh7.$.!$.Funny and educational!!I love you guys so much, I feel like I’m hanging out with friends when I listen! I’ve been listening to the Tudor week episodes and you guys definitely did your research. Great job!!!
-
bugwastehad potentialI genuinely enjoy the style and subject matter but i can’t get past how disrespectfully y’all handle non european cultures, learning how to pronounce names is the bare minimum when it comes to research.
-
listener213Too monetizedI’ve been listening for years and at times have been part of their patreon at times although eventually I left the patreon because the content was too disorganized. They now do commercials multiple times in 45 minute episodes and when I finally listened to an episode in their new season learned that the topics are being chosen by top level patreon supporters. I just can’t shake the grossness of that.
-
haplistnerYes Queens Podcast!!I LOVE you guys. I have learned so much from listening to you guys and you actually make me laugh. Thank you for the hard work you have put in to create a great podcast. I appreciate you both! Clink clink Queens!
-
stellbelleI want that coffee table book!❤️💯🤌🏽 Absolutely would buy your potential book.
-
AFEW91Longtime ListenerI love this podcast! I wish I could support through Patreon, but I would totally support if you created a cocktail cookbook! I love the banter between Katie and Nathan and learning about different Queens from Elizabeth Woodville to Tina Turner.
-
Ally BuschNot my jam, but maybe good for othersI found this podcast when wanting something new and interested in hearing more about Anne Boleyn. Everything is fun and well structured, however I find that the hosts constantly interrupt each other and that can get a bit annoying. I also immediately turned it off when I heard Nathan use the “R” word. The episode was from 2018, but I still find that it’s common knowledge not to use that phrasing. I probably won’t listen to anymore. Good concept, just not for everyone.
-
chazkatpantsfreeSelena! So I was really looking forward to the Selena episode and was surprised on how poorly it was executed. You emphasized about how her lyrics meant so much and didn’t even bother to translate them for non Spanish speakers and when you guys “sang” her songs you just mumbled a bunch of gibberish. That was low key disrespectful and I expected more from y’all. Other than the Selena episode you guys usually do really well. The banter may be much for people but the great things is there’s this awesome button that allows you to fast forward! So overall NOT bad but as a proud Latina please don’t play with la reina lbvs.
-
Constance of castamereYaaasMy favorite podcast. I listen to it while I’m cooking or getting ready and often find my husband paused in a doorway listening in (even though he swears he’s not). You go, Queens.
-
laksjdvrusbLove y’all!I love this podcast. I love history. Especially this type of history!! I love the way y’all present it. I feel like I’m just having a conversation with friends! My fave quote from Katelyn: When Nathan said Agrippina the Younger’s son took her guards and had people threaten her at her home. “I picture people riding by in their boats yelling,” Your mom goes to college!” Lol!!! #voteforpedro 🤣❤️
-
Not another nickname!!!Love the showI’ve been listening to you guys for years and love your show. Katie talks too fast sometimes but it’s usually not a problem. However, I just tried to listen to part 3 of Catherine Howard and Katie was talking so fast that I just had to turn it off.
-
Ashtynvs5 stars all aroundBy far one of my favorite podcasts! You guys are one of the reasons why I fell in love with Tudor history! Keep up the amazing work!

lebogazebo“Babies Don’t Need Jobs.” #isaidwhatisaidWhen I was in high school and college, I LOVED history, but remembering all the dates, facts, etc. could be super monotonous. I’d draw out comic-like episodes for my friends and retell the stories - sometimes silly, sometimes raunchy - and guess what group of students aced history?!? Yup. When I listen to Katy & Nathan, it’s like taking my memories and adding 1000 times more sizzle and pop! I LOVE their irreverent take on so many things…because it makes the facts MEMORABLE. And let’s be real, there is a lot in history that truly shouldn’t be talked about with so much awe and honor…these were humans, and humans are…messy. And gross. And violent. And yuck. Or can be. Katy and Nathan do not shy away from calling a spade, a spade - - - or lifting up those who have either been (perhaps) unfairly vilified and/or just about forgotten. They do deep dives into each person they present, including family trees, time period analyses and giving show notes if you want to go down your own rabbit holes. Sure, there are lots of other history shows out there (I listen to them…guess what? Katy and Nathan do too!), but I promise you this - if you give Queens Podcast a chance, you’ll come back for more!
-
Ophelia_RoseBringing herstory to life!Katy and Nathan bring a perfect blend of nostalgia, familiarity, and approachability. History is full of fascinating stories that can easily get lost in some of the more boring aspects. Queens Podcast brings historic figures to life and helps us understand why they are worth remembering and still discussing!
