I’ve listened to every episode—at least once!—sometimes several times. Especially for those who are serving in a church and need ecclesiological and practical help, listening to this podcast is one of the best things you can do to equip yourself.

I have listened to most of the episodes available on this podcast and have been deeply edified. These conversations have been very instructive and helpful to my thinking. Grateful!

I don’t see many critics of Pastors Talk. I think that’s because there’s no critique someone can bring up that Mark Dever hasn’t said at least three times on a single episode. He is the greatest antagonist of this podcast. Having said this, I have been encouraged, helped, and challenged by Pastors Talk. I frequently revisit old episodes and always look forward to new ones for my Tuesday morning commute.

I’ve binged on this podcast while working as a driver. Grateful for the hearts and wisdom of Pastor Mark and Dr. Leeman towards God’s Word, Pastor’s and the Local Church. Reading through some of the 9Marks books currently. Enjoying and growing every moment. Thank you!!!

I find this very helpful and recommend to anyone in vocational or lay ministry in your church. Tip: fast forward through the first 30 seconds so you can bypass their attempts at humor, which is the reason I give the 4 stars instead of 5. When they are serious and on task, they are wonderfully insightful and helpful.

Listened to episode 166 and am mortified. If you are a modern pastor this is not the pod cast for you. Outdated literal interpretation of parts of the Bible

Every pastor/seminarian should listen, receive, and apply godly instruction from these two great men.

Every pastor should listen and learn. Even where I disagree, their thoughtfulness is itself instructive.

I love the content of this podcast. Even if I don’t agree with their conclusions I appreciate the way that they have thought things through and defend their positions. However, Mark’s interruptions and talking over others makes it almost unlistenable. There is almost always a point in the podcast where I come close to turning it off because of the interruptions.

As a church resident in their early 20’s pursuing the ministry and desiring to plant churches overseas, 9Marks and Pastor’s Talk have been indispensable in strengthening my ecclesiology, love for the church, and humility for ministry. These two brothers a a rich blessing from God to the church today.

The guys do a good job of getting quickly to the point, unpacking the relevance for church pastors and discussing application. In a world of half measures and hedging, Mark and Jonathan put their views on the table and back them up with scripture.

As a church planting missionary in a foreign country these podcasts have been a tremendous encouragement in difficult days.

This podcast has been super helpful in thinking about the life of church in light of the Bible. Grateful for Mark Dever and Jonathan Leeman and their love for Christ and his church.

I am a newly married 24 year old man, I am not a pastor, but I love pastors and am very interested in preaching and pastoral ministry. This is one of the best podcasts I have listened to and I listen to a bunch of great ones. I like how short it is, there’s a sense in which I’m in the room with them, just silent. Most of the time, it feels like they don’t know it’s recording and they’re just having a conversation. Mark and Jonathan have a really nice chemistry. Either I’m lame or they’re really funny sometimes.

One of my favorites! Thankful for all the wisdom shared between these faithful Pastors!

Much to learn from these pastor/elders talk about the church.

I love nine marks ministries. But the podcast is a little much. There’s not a lot of hard and fast teaching, but rather a lot of unnecessary banter. Also Mark doesn’t seem to interview well. I would suggest read their books Or listen to their sermons instead of listening to the podcast. They will be much more helpful.

As a man looking to go into full time ministry after seminary, this has been a great resource in helping think through shepherding the flock and all the challenges that come with it.

If you're not a pastor, you'll still find Pastor Talk edifying. Few things are more soothing to me than listening to Mark Dever speak, and being a fly on the wall to hear him talk orthopraxy is wonderful. Do your pastor a favor and recommend it to him. My pastor found it very helpful and encouraging.

Thankful for this wonderful supplement to my ministry week–this podcast gives a chance to think about ministry philophy and church life in a way that is engaging and thorough yet also casual enough to enjoy while you're cleaning or turning in reciepts at the church. Makes you look forward to some of the busy-work!

I reiterate the other reviewers–this is an excellent resource that is immensely helpful. It is a brief, practical, informal conversation about biblical pastoring.

This podcast has been a great addition to my weekly list of podcast. I always seem to learn so much about ministry.

For any pastor desiring to grow in their ministry this is the perfect help. Mark and Jonathan do a great job in addressing issues particular to the pastorate. I highly recommend it for those who are serious about doing ministry well!

Pastor's talk is an excellent resource. Mark exudes pastoral wisdom and is able to address timely questions posed by Jonathan; such as addressing social media usage in the church. The podcast provides a helpful medium for hearing how Mark, Leeman, and CHBC practically apply what we have been reading for many years.
