Update: Joe Cirincione speaks with confidence but is incorrect. The US did not run out incumbent and that is why Donald Trump has a 2nd term. Look at US history- incumbents win reelection unless we are in a recession. We are not in a recession thanks to Joe Biden. You guys may feel better thinking that incumbents losing globally indicates that Biden would have lost- but it’s only lazy speculation on your part. It may be your truth. But it’s not the truth. By allowing ageism to run their campaign, the Dems and all who encouraged Biden to step down are all bear a lottery of responsibility for Trump’s second term.

He spoke so eloquently and hit the nail on the head. Thank you for having him on. My husband and I listened twice through the mention of his first day in South Africa with Bishop Desmond Tutu. We found some calm to ground us through a corrupt, authoritarian regime. Thanks again, always an interesting, thoughtful discussion.

I love hearing another White Woman That Is Totally CLUELESS Of What WOKE Means. This is not to attack anyone but again SHE Needs to Look up what WOKE Means which is Just Being AWARE that’s It and Really it is a Racist Attack on Black People. So I need this WHITE LADY which also knows ZERO About what WOKE it even means to Black People When They Hear WHITE PEOPLE Attacking The Word WOKE.

I have a hard time with this group’s excuses of why the media doesn’t honestly (and yes, that’s what it is) cover Trump. We know his base doesn’t care (and let’s face it-most of them know the names of most world leaders). But what about those who don’t follow politics & crime that much? What about Independents? The media portrays Trump as “normal”, I’m not sure why they mentioned who “won” when Trump was on Meet the Press; but the fact they even said that says a lot! The fact they “used to cover these things” says even more. I give up. I just give up

Disappointing when folks do not comprehend the danger of a theocracy and a house speaker who is hand picked by trump. Once he gets jettisoned trump will become speaker. Then democracy is dead. So stop Not asking the right questions.

I listened and enjoyed for some time but once the AT&T sponsorship arrived I got turned off. Your taking ad dollars from a company that funds Right wing conservative non sense and funds media to promote it. Complicit!

On the Aug 27th episode one reporter described Afghanistan as a ‘CATASTROPHE’. Is airflighting 100,000+ people out of a war zone a CATASTROPHE? Yes, it’s horrible that 13 wonderful soldiers were killed but is it a CATASTROPHE? If this is a catastrophe, what would she call 9/11 or the holocaust? Another ridiculed President Biden for saying he was going to hunt down those people responsible. How can he possibly do that, the reporter suggested not in just a critical or questioning manner but in a ridiculing and rude manner. Would he like to apologize to Biden and the rest of us for his drivel now that one of the perpetrators has been taken out?

Bill’s interviews with political newsmakers are excellent. His round table on Fridays could be improved by having fewer cynical reporters and by discussing multi-faceted aspects of stories, i.e. the remarkable unprecedented airlift from Kabul got short shrift, and no one has mentioned that the previous president withheld access and information to the Biden administration during the transition.

I was very disappointed when Bill allowed a "journalist" on the 6/18/21 podcast to lie about Dennis Kucinich when he was mayor of Cleveland. If you want to know the truth of Dennis' time as the mayor please listen to Ralph Nader's latest podcast. The unions that advertise on the program should reconsider their support. Dennis is a big supporter of unions who fought for them as mayor. In future, I will research featured "journalists" for bias and a lack of integrity. I suspect that will quickly become onerous at which point I will drop the podcast. I used to love Bill's program.

Hi Bill, I love your podcast, but was deeply disturbed by your lack of challenge to the nonsense that poured out of Comstock’s mouth. She was so thrilled to point out that Republican dominated State Legislatures were doing such fine work adhering to republican principles….apparently one of their firmly held principles is voter suppression and anti worker. I’m very disappointed in this episode. The former president and his followers are WAY MORE dangerous and painful than a kidney stone…. they may have permanently damaged the body politic and destroyed our democratic traditions.

Bill, you have highlighted the GOP and its divisions for two solid weeks. Your conversation today with Barbara Comstock revealed nothing new. She and traditional GOP devotees favor failed free market approaches and heavy military spending. We know this! She did reveal one thing: Trumpism is and always will be a failure. Or is that really news? Please use your authority to bring in people with fresh ideas that can excite voters!

I like the pod but I am starting to notice that whenever you ask questions of your panel, I never hear you start off with a woman guest. You always start your questions with a male guest even if you have two women and one man. Something to think about and maybe make the effort to change old style patterns.

Bill is an excellent journalist that provides an honest opinion with civility and integrity.

I am a new subscriber. Having heard Bill Press over the years and having read his book, I expected to be informed by listening to his podcast. I’m not disappointed. I do wish we could hear one based on Wendall Potter’s book, “Deadly Spin.” Potter is an exCEO of Cignet Insurance and his book discusses how big Insurance and Big Pharma colluded with mainstream media (who makes billions from their advertising) to bring down Bernie Sanders and malign Micheal Moore (after SICKO was released) because they want to stop Universal Healthcare. The book is a study on propaganda and manufacturing consent of the people.

As a mental health professional, I appreciate the sober and fact based look at Donald Trump’s lack of fitness for office. I hope the Biden campaign team and the news media take this seriously and warn the public of the danger. I fear too many voters think his behavior is amusing or tough, without realizing the consequences for all of us his instability poses.

However this will have to be my last listen; other than voting (which I intend to do early). I don’t feel that I have any other recourse.

Bill Press is a great interviewer! His interview with Lanny Davis is eye opening and informative. Love, love, love Bill’s Friday news roundups. A political/policy podcast to add to your subscriptions.

The Pod can’t come frequently enough for me. I look forward to PBS on Friday evening, but Bill’s unfiltered outlook, curiosity and background make this top of list for me.

Good show to listen to. I always feel I’m getting the true stories and honest options. Only complaint is the audio is sometimes faint when a panel of 3 is on the show. But Bill still gets 5 stars.

Bill, when you equalize the voice levels of yourself and guests, this pod will go to 5 star. Right now, I have to juggle the volume levels constantly. Maybe Peter can help?

I always learn a lot from Bill’s podcasts about current events. Way different and more accurate than the mainstream media.

Bill press is such a great source of information. I love his show because of his steady, clear approach to the news in Washington DC. He has very knowledgeable guests on his show and this podcast helps me stay informed (especially now, since he’s left his morning radio show... I miss his presence every day so this podcast is definitely the best way to get my Bill Press fix!)

I loved your show, Mr. Press. Every morning, I load it on my ipod and listen to it at work. That is, until you said Nancy Pelosi is a great politician and will make a great Speaker. You cannot seriously call yourself a Progressive and think Pelosi is a good DEM. As seen yesterday, when AOC joined a protest at Pelosi's office. Or Pelosi's first speech was how she was gonna reach across the aisle. THIS is why we have an Orange Prez. Because corporate DEMs just don't get it. This is one of my favorite political shows...while there is definitely liberal opinions that I love, Bill, Peter and the journalists and other guests brought in keep facts at the forefront of the conversation and help me to know what I discuss with others is genuine and informative! Thank you!
