PinbathEntertaining and informative (at times! ;-) )Having listened fro the get go, Flats and Shanks just bring a lighthearted view of the game, with plenty of stories and some real insight, too. If you want pure rugby detail, hen look to some of the other pods, but if you want some rugby and plenty of good craic, then this is the one you want & you may also get some good tips of food and video/TV! 🤷♂️😉👍

BBBelfast047Funny and engaging guysBeen listening for over a year and enjoy show very much. They are two guys talking about life, family, food, TV shows etc and they just happen to have been v good pro rugby players in their day. Honest and fun, a nice change of pace and content.

nula36Funnily enough, appointment listening! These two host the only other podcast I listen to with regularity on the day it publishes. Two (almost) regular guys, with good senses of humor, and a great perspective on how rugby should be played. It is also a slice of home for an aging English rugby fan living in Boston, MA.

DC Rugby NerdOld fan in new locationWell, Damian Flatlin & Tim Shankman have certainly continued their hilarious high-jinks tails of their day-to-day, humdrum, lives and even manage to squeeze in a spot of rugby chat, too. Their insatiable thirst for rugby knowledge, banter and tall-tails is only surpassed by their never-ending search for free stuff, or swag as it is often called. Keep up the good work, chaps, and one day you may even get a bit of TV work.

DelwinaA brand new fanAs a 60 year old librarian from St Louis, I am probably NOT the demographic that Dai and Tom are looking for, but you gotta take your fans where you can find them, right? I stumbled onto this podcast while looking for some help in learning about rugby, and it has now become my favorite thing to listen to during the day. The boys are definitely "brothers from different mothers", and I am actually learning a bunch about the game in between crying with laughter at their stories. Thanks, guys!

Mc_Awesome47Poor TasteI wanted to like this but ragging on a podcast in several episodes in a row is the last straw for me. I didnt come here to hear your thoughts on a completely different genre and quite frankly, it's in poor taste to rag on a colleague. Then, you can't take anyone calling you out on your own stuff, so then the next episode you pulled a Trump and had to throw a tantrum. Subbed then unsubbed because the vile you spilled at someone for no good reason and the way you handle criticism. Grow up, put out an episode about the sport you say you're covering and maybe you will actually get some listeners to stay.

WhathoListen, laugh, and learnI have to be careful where I listen to this podcast because David Flatman's dry humour and smooth timing makes me giggle and splutter repeatedly every time. Tom Shanklin reprises his role as the linchpin of Wales's midfield (back when they were good). He runs the straight lines and keeps things going forward, while making space to set up Flats for his flashy one-liners. When they focus on the rugby these two ex-players know their stuff. Expect lots of insights into current events in the rugby world as well as more structural issues of the game, including such vital matters as Gavin Henson's 3 hour pre-match ablutions. Especially love the responsiveness to listener comments and questions. Just bloody well answer mine next time!
