Title and author had a higher opinion of themselves then they delivered
I’m unsure why this popped up in my rotation, but it was 27 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. There it was literally a half hour infomercial for “exciting story coming next episode” You know what? I already gave you 27 minutes. Also, the reporter (did not catch her name, voice was non-distinct.)kept telling the viewer how great they were, and only they could have gotten this information… Without giving us any information. Show, don’t tell.

    Big Mistake
Not a bad True Crime podcast. Good material, at least on OCCK, a crime I’m thoroughly familiar with on a civilian level. However, knowing the details of the case and having lived at the city where it took place and being just as ennerved and horrified 40 years later, I have a large criticism to make. The podcasters chose to hire actors to recreate certain scenes. They sound like 1940s radio show extras hired for verbal OOOMMPH and POWW! How completely inappropriate. Overly dramatic, likely to conjure Clark Kent and Lois Lane. In view of the material at hand, which is very, very tragic, it’s very offensive. This is not a fun drama. Or Nancy Drew mystery. I suggest chucking this episode.

Very interesting show. I very much enjoyed listening. Hope that it returns soon.

    Love the story line
    Will the show be returning?
  • Joplingirl
    Eh
They give pretty detailed information but unless you want to hear things like “systemic misogyny” throughout their tellings as reasons for the way things happened then give them a skip.

    The best podcast ever!!!
Around a year ago, I was looking for a podcast about Lizzie Borden because I’ve always been fascinated by her story and how it all occurred, so when I found out that “Unsolved Murders” had the episode I had to find out if it was actually any good. If I were to have the ability to give an award to the best podcast creators this would be the podcast that would be getting that award. All the information about the Lizzie Borden Case was all 100% true! And for everyone who is looking for the best True Crime stories I highly recommend this program!!!!!!!

    Long story short
A couple years ago I was searching for a Lizzie Borden episode so I found unsolved murders and after awhile they fell in love and have relistened to so many episodes.

    Absolutely love it!
One of my favorite to listen to. For me it’s all about the narrators. And you 2 are fantastic story tellers.

I started listening to the Wanda Beach murder episodes and I just loved the podcasts. Keep up the great work

    Interesting Podcast! I love it!!
I enjoy the dramatization and review of these older cases … some famous and some obscure. Very interesting cases and recounted very well!

The Dramatization is inspired and attention grabbing
I have been a private investigator for more than a decade and I enjoy listening to this podcast and point out where the investigations into the murders go wrong. Keep up the great work and I’ll keep listening.
  • Ehhh!!!
    I AM ADDICTED!!!!
I used to listen to this on another that was shut down and became a huge fan. Today must be my lucky day because I found it again. Every time I’m in the car this is the first thing I binge listen.

    Dramatization
    Unnecessary, distracting, and annoying.
  • mimiyagagaga
This dude sounds like a bored and annoyed Napoleon Dynamite
The work here is pretty boilerplate, but man this guys voice is cracking me up.
  • Mommy365!
Loved it when it was here
I’m not sure why this was taken off of the Apple platform. It was one of my favorites but I refuse to subscribe or pay any fees. Will just move on to others.

    Where is my show?
Only five episodes show up now. Why? Noticed this with another parcast show I follow. I can’t even listen to the new episodes. What is going on? 😭
  • pattjo
    A visit.
I stayed at The Iowa ax murder with my sisters a few years ago. It is so awful no one was caught. We terrified ourselves. Slept up in kid’s bedroom. Freaky!!

    Great Podcast!
But they are going to be exclusively on Spotify for all future episodes. I do not use Spotify, nor do I want to use a second podcast app, so it is a shame that I will not be able to get any new episodes. I hope they drop their exclusivity to Spotify some day.
  • ehhe123
    Narration like a nursery story
I would probably enjoy this more if they didn’t take turns every few sentences...it really interrupts the fluidity of story telling

    LOVE THIS FORMAT
The mix of dramatic acting along with storytelling is a refreshing format from the standard true crime. Great balance and very entertaining. I find the dramatization is similar to radio shows of the past, but would expand on the cadre of voice actors used. As some others noted, I am not pleased this Podcast has moved to Spotify because I find that App not to be user-friendly and unsightly.

    Sad to see you go
I hate Spotify and it’s apparent it’s the money and not the listeners that drive you.

    STUNNING!!!
This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to, it is very thorough and the acting parts give it a nice touch. Ever since I started listening to these podcasts, I haven’t been able to stop. Thank you Carter and Wenndy and the Parcast network for everything!

    Stupid Spotify
Love the podcast stupid you’re going to Spotify only… hate that app and it’s interface. Sell out move! Won’t be listening anymore.

    Decent Podcast
I am a true crime junkie, and while this is a decent podcast, it’s not worth downloading the Spotify app to listen. I’ve used Spotify in the past and it gave me a lot of headaches. Some of the episodes are good, but most of them are from way in the past. I would prefer more timely episodes. Also, it is so overacted at times, it’s laughable. Time to say goodbye to this podcast.
  • QuindonTheBunny
Loved it on apple, will miss it
Ditto to everyone else who doesn’t want it to move. I know podcasting is hard so if Spotify is paying more then good for them. But I will be sure to come right back the second it returns to other venues!
  • Ninian Hawk
    Moved to Spotify
Loved listening to this but they’ve started to move all their shows exclusively to Spotify.
  • i like 2048
    Overall good...
This is a solid podcast but, are you seriously moving to Spotify because they offered you more money? The acting is all right, but a little overdramatized and exaggerated st times. And also, why on earth are the so many ads? And if you can, can you make episodes on more recent cases, that apply more to the present day? Overall really good podcast and i enjoy it a lot!
  • leslie_will
    Nope for Spotify
I just found this podcast and was really excited after the first several episodes I listened to, then I heard them advertise they are going exclusively to Spotify. I tried Spotify a few months ago and really hated their app for podcasts. Disappointing...
  • Katybug05
    Awesome find!
I just discovered this podcast and I love it! When y’all react it, I can visualize the characters so well! I also like finding the deceased names on the Find A Grace app! Some of the obits I find are interesting!
  • What2do76
    Well that stinks
I have religiously listened to this podcast. I now hear it’s moving to only Spotify. I will no longer be listening. I only use this app for my podcasts. It’s a shame that it isn’t staying here too.
  • Home4115#
    Love the podcast
I love this podcast and when you guys reenact The cases because it helps me visualize the events
  • slpsite
    Boo for moving to Spotify
I don’t much care for woman’s voice and the re-enactments are not that great but still I like Carter Roy and the stories being told however very disappointed with Parcast that they are moving exclusively to Spotify that just screams greed. Oh well guess I can move it from playlist in August
  • gnav72
Too bad you’re moving to Spotify
    Won’t listen through them.
  • TravelswithCosmo
    So sad they are moving
I enjoyed listening to the podcast but I’m not willing to add another app to listen to them. Hopefully they will return to other podcast venues.
  • Jen A all Day
I feel like this is the equivalent of click bate!
For a 30 minute show, 15 are commercials. Stupid!
  • i❤HK
    See Ya!
Good riddance and don’t let the door hit you in your behind on your way back to Spotify!
  • Allllsouledout
    Hate the re-enactments
But the stories are told well otherwise
  • 3?:&29'xa
    Alright
The re-enactment is childish but overall the podcast is pretty good
  • CKN at UNH
    Nope to Spotify
Like others I truly enjoy the podcast but i will not be switching to Spotify. So I will miss this podcast as well as many of the others that are becoming exclusive to Spotify. To bad really...
  • mikayla<33333
Moving to Spotify only are you joking?!
    Boooooooooo
  • StarSharon
I love this podcast but now it’s moving to Spotify
I enjoy listening to this podcast. Great content and great voices. I love the two times a week releases of each story. Podcasts are also the perfect length..I can do one or two in a sitting. This is a good podcast to listen to before sleeping. THE BIG NEGATIVE is that you are moving to Spotify. I’m so sad to learn this. I don’t want the Spotify app because I’ve read many complaint reviews and I don’t need a music app, which seems to be Spotify’ primary focus. I also do not need another monthly bill.
