    Love Has You
I’m a huge fan of anything Michael does…books, counseling, podcasts. It always comes from a pure place and an eden heart. I listen and often feel loved and known, which gives me the strength to give that to others.

    Forever Grateful
I came upon this podcast before I knew how much I would need it. I have a BA in Psychology and have always had an interest in how the brain works & how to best walk with others experiencing grief/trauma. And then my own life blew up! Michael Cusick’s work & intensives have been huge in my own healing and the healing of those I love. Forever grateful!

    Neurodiversity
Such a wonderful resource. My son struggles with adhd and has had many questions about neurodiversity. Listening to you two speak so openly has been a gift to him and me! As a teacher, I’m sharing this as a resource to others to open their eyes. Thank you both!💜

Practical soul care at its best
Michael and Julianna, I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for my son as he’s been going through the break up of his marriage due to his addiction to porn. Your book and podcasts have ministered to him and are by the power of our great God and Savior helping him recover and become whole. He is also seeing a counselor and we are praying for complete recovery of their marriage. Please be in prayer for his wife, as she has been very wounded by all of this and is seeking divorce. Pray for her healing regardless of the outcome for their marriage. All that being said I can’t begin to express how much you have also helped me to heal from some of my own trauma. I would love to some day meet you both to give you a big hug and thank you in person. May God continue to bless you and your ministry of healing. Dave

    I have grown so much!
Not only do I love the podcast, but so does my Amazon account. 😁 So many great interviews with amazing people. My library of books have grown tremendously since I started listening to the podcast, but more importantly my walk with Jesus has grown more. Thank you and keep up the great work.

    Not just for Xians
I like this podcast and I do not consider myself Christian… was truly born atheistic but would call myself spiritual at this point and intrigued with much of the wisdom of the bible. This podcast is great for those navigating infidelity and attempting to heal themselves and their marriage.

Cold water to a weary soul
RTS Podcast has been crucial in my journey after exposure of my pornography addiction/relapse. Michael and his various guests have helped me understand the importance of humility, vulnerability and honesty.

    Awkward Spirituality
Your willingness to demonstrate vulnerability is so refreshing. Because you are vulnerable, we crave to be vulnerable. I have seen it personally worked out in my own life with others. It becomes a gift back to myself. Your authentic, as you truly trust the very one who holds you in his arms.

    Restoring the Soul
We came across this podcast when our marriage was completely devastated. It was a lifeline. Michael and the folks at Restoring the Soul provided the depth, truth, and experiences that set us on the path of marital restoration. At the same time, it has continued to renew and grow our personal faith. Thank you for sharing. Our lives will never be the same.

    Restoring the Soul
I so enjoy the variety and spiritual depth of people Michael John Cusick has on his broadcast. I am always challenged and urged on in my own walk. What impresses me most is the honesty and vulnerably MJC and guests reveal as they openly speak of their struggles, doubts, hindrances and woundedness of their own lives, yet point to the hope we have in Christ to meet us wherever we are.

Curt Thompson & Michael John Cusick
This podcast is so enriching, so real and affirming. My favorite episodes are those with Curt Thompson. There were recently 2 out of 10 episodes with both of these men and it would be amazing if we could hear the whole series. They are so real about our struggles, but also real about the love God has for each of us. Integrating faith and life and the God Who continually comes to where we are. These podcasts touch deep into my soul. I think they will for anyone, wherever you are on life's journey. Thank you.

    Topic for discussion
What about our loved ones? Those we have hurt with our actions are struggling and need healing. How do we help? What is our role? What are they dealing with? Thanks

Surging for God - not just for men or sex addicts
I am a woman who struggles with socially “acceptable” addictions- overeating & people pleasing/performance. Every one of these podcasts has spoken truth into my addictions/behaviors. Thank you for the insight and truth spoken with such grace and compassion. Every week I am waiting with baited breath for the next issue. God bless you snd the work you do.

    Transformative and Encouraging
Michael John has a kind and patient style of hosting and asking questions. A man who openly shares how he was changed by his own pain and healing. He is a courageous person seeking to help others find wholeness and healing- a full life including healthy relationships with self, others and God.

    Practical Theology
Knowing God brings deep transformation across such a wide breadth of what makes a person a person. This is a deeply practical, wonderfully relevant pod that reveals God and the process of transformation.

    Very edifying podcast
I was introduced to Michael and his podcast after reading his book, “Surfing for God”. Lucky for me many of the themes in that book carried into this podcast. Michael is so good at being attentive to the soul and challenging others to do the same. His biblical based knowledge is so insightful into Christian living and the spiritual, emotional, mental, and practical aspects of it. I haven’t heard a single episode that hasn’t been helpful and encouraging. We need more of these conversations in the church, ones about our soul. Because as Michael quotes, “You don’t have a soul. You are a soul, you have a body”.
  • C_Black46
    Very good
Michael is so honest and helpful. Really loving this latest conversation with Andrew Bauman. I would love to hear the Christie and Andrew together!

    Life Giving
Michael’s podcast has truly been a blessing in my life - he and his guests truly put caring for the soul first. It is so refreshing to hear honest conversation, not afraid to go deep & to the dark places, and encourage with truth from personal stories & Jesus. Plethora of topics, and a few laughs here and there. Thank you Michael and Restoring the Soul!

    A Breathe of Fresh Air
These podcasts are challenging, encouraging, and gracious! They offer a way of thinking that is new to me and much needed. They help me dig down to the heart and root of what I’m experiencing, rather than focusing on just behaviors at the surface. Thank you, Restoring the Soul Team!

    Excellent Podcast
Michael does a great job with dealing with the inner world when the church is often obsessed with the outer world and how we behave. I appreciate his perspectives so much and it has been such a positive source in my own healing
  • rjberch
    Love this one!
This podcast perfectly walks the line of head knowledge, spiritual development, and heart transformation. Michael’s interviews are so thoughtful, his questions so probing and insightful, and his guests cover a wide range of topics. Even Michael's solo episodes are wonderful. I wait for this one every week!

    Timely
I discovered this podcast almost by accident and every episode has been so full of wisdom, grace and hope especially as most of us are dealing with some form of loss and trauma this past year. It brings me closer to God, and closer on the road to healing.

    Definitely Listen
Almost every day, I spend an hour walking through my neighborhood. Most days I listen to a podcast when I walk. Restoring the Soul is in my library so I can always catch the latest episode. I love hearing how messy lives are restored by God’s grace. Today’s episode with Susie Larson spoke volumes about God’s presence and our responses in healing. As a cancer and a stroke survivor I’ve spent a lot of time thinking and praying about the topic. It’s a gift to have access to people I will probably never meet in this life but who have important insights to share. Susie and Michael John’s conversation about God’s purposes in suffering and in healing is definitely worth a listen.

    Fully alive: Restoring the soul
Excellent! A powerful reminder that God has a plan and purpose for each of us. That we are primarily created to be loved by God and to love God and that is a threat to the enemy, Satan. When we believe who God is and who we are to Him, that’s when we find freedom and rest.
  • littlegale
    Contemplative
I found this podcast by way of Brad Jersak! I really appreciate all of the variety of guests and perspectives, and especially the more contemplative ones. Thank you, Michael!

    Restoring the Soul Podcasts (ALL)
Michael does a terrific job of having a variety of people talk through a lot of various issues: trauma, sexual brokenness, spirituality, and faith. Just when I think I've heard his best podcast yet he produces another one that takes the place of the last best one! Keep up the excellent work!

    Nourishment
Michael provides so many angles to healing the soul and is such a thoughtful, kind and vulnerable host. From enneagram, spiritual disciplines, book reviews and counseling insights, I appreciate the diverse subjects. Listening to Susie Larson and Lysa TerKeurst recently just brought me to tears as I heard their stories and see hope as I travel in my own. Thank you, thank you💜

    My Favorite Podcast!
My mom and I frequently talk about how sad we are that these podcasts haven’t been around for longer. I’m in my 20s and getting to learn from the stories and wisdom of the different speakers that come on this podcast is really precious. I can’t believe I get all this wisdom for free honestly!! I have grown so much through these episodes. It’s fun to constantly discover new authors as well, such as Susie Larson! I can’t wait to get my hands on her book Fully Alive and keep learning from her. Thank you, Restoring the Soul, for being such a key part of my spiritual transformation and growth!

    More than a podcast
This has been much more than a podcast for me, it’s been a safe space, a consistent nudge into a better me, and a comforting promise of hope that I am not alone and that transformation is real and accessible. Thank you for sharing your experience and for bringing in other voices and stories of redemption and restoration.

    Trauma-Informed Podcast
I’m loving this podcast! So many great conversations and tools for self-regulation related to shame + trauma. The episodes with Aundi Kolber were so eye-opening for me. Also, loved the 5-part shame series and HIGHLY recommend listening to the episode about the rhythm of iCARE.

    Restoring the Soul
I subscribe to a number of podcasts and this is one of the best! I have been introduced to a number of fascinating individuals who have much to offer. The content has blessed and enriched me greatly and I am forever grateful! I am particularly enjoying the series, How Shame Fuels Addiction at present as there are so many resonant touchpoints there for me. I share episodes regularly with friends... Thank you Michael and the entire RTS team! 😊❤️

    Episode 134
How thankful I am that there are wonderful tools to help us unpack the effects of trauma, and the lies we believed about ourselves and how Christ sees us. We are not our shame,,anymore. Your willingness to share from your own stories, gives us tremendous courage with ourselves and others, leading us to greater freedom and integration. Becoming all the more who we were meant to be.
