LivLunnToo energeticCould you not talk like a car salesman ? Just be normal.

werfgtyygWhy can’t SeanPronounce any of the characters names correctly?? It’s beyond annoying.
-
Lydia123446789No more SeanSean is unbearable!

Cabourne4456SPOILERs with NO warningStarted listening for the first time and within the first 5 min dropped a bomb of a Spoiler about Daemon and Aemond that has NOT happened yet. No warning… no spoiler warning about things that haven’t happened yet and essentially ruined a massive part of the story.

SethFourTenIt’s the fun oneI listen to a lot of asoiaf podcasts, but this is the one I always fire up as soon as it goes live. Entertaining, energetic, irreverent; it’s the fan podcast that feels like hanging out with other fans. Stick around until the end for their signature “Owns” segment that will have you laughing up a storm.

Jackandpirate3The bestThese guys are simply the best at providing entertaining and insightful breakdowns of all things George RR including House of the Dragon.

Wes HardinFlaws Keep Podcast From A 5Overall great content and Aziz is great host. Some agenda topics of Ashaya and guest keep total rating down. Would be nice to just enjoy commentary of the content without trying to inject social issues/politics. Asha’s stoner/valley girl voice is super annoying and it is tiring listening to her trying to spin every topic into a pro-female character dialogue. According to Ashaya, only the female characters are worth discussing. Push your agenda on others and allow us to enjoy the show.

YUsucksobadYikesHere’s the thing…..These guys know an INSANE amount of GOT-related history, but when attempting to make the story analogous to actual history, etc., they are almost always laughably inaccurate. Maybe more personal time dedicated to learning about real history and less dragons and magic, but I digress. It’s a show for GOT nerds, so it stands to reason it would lend itself to absurdity. The biggest problem (and why I had to stop following) is the frequency with which Aziz laughs at his own jokes. It’s insufferable. It comes off more as a nervous tick than a sincere appreciation of his own dopey musings, but it’s really uncomfortable to listen to.

willstjThe StandardThis is the show that sets the standard for all ASOIAF content. I’ve been listening loyally since 2016 and will continue to do so.
-
RedRanger37I love this show!I don’t write many reviews, but this one is necessary. This show has expanded my ASOIAF knowledge 10 fold. Aziz, Ashaya, and Sean are all great teachers. Whether you are just getting started or read ASOIAF as the books have been released, I think this show has something for you. There is endless content and if they didn’t cover a topic to the fullest extent the first time, they will have an opportunity to come back and cover the rest. Truly, love their content and would love to catch them at con soon!

IveyLakeGone downhillUsed to love this show before Sean was a regular participant. I don’t want to be unnecessarily rude, but I find his presence on the show very grating. His commentary is always so asinine, surface-level, and not thought provoking in the least. Certainly nowhere near the level of insight Aziz and Ashaya give in their commentary.

MunchbachLove the details of my favorite fictional worldDoes anyone know which episode focuses on the Unsullied? Really interested to hear details of their training and legendary battles

Lance MoonRiderMe First and the Gimme Gimmes is SKA?Don’t let Fatty Mike hear you call it a SKA band…… Love the podcast

Cubone&NatutrainerLannisterfanDiscrepancy…The first episode of the House of the Dragon where Aemma Arryn has a C-section is actually the exact situation that happened to Queen Alyssa, the mother of Jaehaerys I, Alysanne and Rhaena Targaryen in the Fire & Blood book. Aemma did die from childbirth and did have a son who survived her a day in the book. Why would HBO, who have a tendency of being as accurate as they possibly can when they producing shows green light this inaccuracy?

J. A. DavisExcellent podcastI look forward to this every week!
-
joeyfivecentsBlah Blah BlahSo the hosts know their canon and that’s a good thing. However, lots of talking about nothing and getting sidetracked away from the content. Still, it’s better than dragoncast where the hosts can’t even get character’s names correct and know none of the history. The third host (I don’t know his name, but he’s always chiming in with wrong information) has no business talking about this stuff. Stick to the content. It’s all right there in the books. In one episode, they’re speculating on the possibility of a Jon Snow series and it just becomes chaos. Not enjoyable.

Miss SusiBest GoT podcastReally happy listening to History of Westeros. The scripted episodes are well planned and narrated. Amazing information for the hardcore fans. I thought that I knew everything, yet new insights are revealed each episode. I can listen to this podcast on a loop and know more each time. Encouraging to think about the spectacular words of George RR Martin. This is not unplanned babbling like so many other podcasts. Thank you.
-
rae the nerdFun podcastsFound them through the house of the dragon, definitely plan on checking out their coverage of the broader world of Westeros.
-
Weston174Excellent !I love this show ! It’s definitely for fans that are deep and dirty into A Song of Ice and Fire or at least a Game of thrones. But if that’s you this show provides all the details in such a fun way. I’ve listened to hundreds of hours and each new episode is a treat

APD2313History of Westeros Pod is Awesome!!!This is the Valyrian Steel of ASOIAF podcasts!
-
goat~patrol-is~on~a~rollPoor banterOut of touch with series, and bad chemistry. There are bad takes nearly every minute of play time, GRRM’s piss would be more intriguing, and informing than these bozo’s takes on Westeros
-
RetroBruMy defacto ASOIAF podcastI discovered this podcast about 6 or 7 years ago, and let me tell you; if you want to deep-dive into the World of Ice and Fire, this is one of the best choices out there. The amount of research these two people must do is astounding. You might cringe at Aziz’s dad jokes here and there, but his and Ashaya’s commentary is clear, interesting and fun.
-
Reverendp“Like” unlistenableThe crutch of using “like” as a filler words makes this podcast unlistenable.
-
itsbrandon150constantly mispronouncing namesthe names are spoken out loud every single week on the show and you guys still somehow mess up Larys & other names so terribly. the discussions are fine it’s just annoying - seems like you don’t watch the show at all
-
doug_prishpreedI am terrified of femalesWhen I listen to an ASOIAF podcast, I want it to reflect the world of Westeros—where women are put in subservient positions and preferably take an oath never to speak. The more I have to listen to women, the more chances they have to turn me gay. No thanks! Until scientists finally figure out how human reproduction works, we have no choice but to assume black magic and to treat women as the witches they presumably are. Giving this 5 stars anyway…but IRONICALLY!
-
annoyed phillies fanLess is moreLove the scripted episodes and have been listening to this podcast for years. Easily the most knowledgeable ASOIF podcast that I’ve found. But it seems like the lady host, Ashaya, has been given the green light to be much more involved lately and she’s got a voice that is so hard to listen to for two hours. Dial her back again for improvement

itsfineyallMehWhile I appreciate the in depth review as I haven’t read the books, sometimes they go down a rabbit hole so that can be confusing. I loathe how Aziz & Ashaya laugh at everything, esp Aziz. Also the way they jump down Sean’s throat if he misspeaks or gets a name wrong. They need to lighten up. They also need to quit talking over each other and maybe slow down when talking.
-
JusadonisIt’s fineJust a few annoyances like laughter after every sentence from Aziz. The other guy can’t get names right but all in all it’s fine.
-
✨👍🏽✨More GuestsOr at least have rotating hosts, it’d be a fresh take to hear from folks that only watch the show. Or even a moderator so y’all not constantly talking over each other. It’s like the two main hosts get carried away by tidbits in the book and lose focus on the show’s portrayal. It just feels like they not watching the same show I am but I maybe just need to find other podcasts that have more voices that add to the HBO series’.🤷🏼♀️

Fergie V.Get rid of herLove the guys, but think the female is (as usual) trying too hard to show women can do film review and analysis same as the guys. She's the one correcting anyone who misspoke like some schoolteacher, forcing her turn, interjecting cos she can't wait to give her input, always having something to say that y'all dont know... i love the show but can't stand the female host. Very try hard to show she's most well read and smart
-
Princess charNaaahhhhThe female host sounds like she’s trying to yell every time she says something. All of their name pronunciations are totally off. They entire podcast is a mess. Spent 20 mins talking about how peoples sentiments are spoilers and then go on to talk about how terrible Daemon is….
-
pieceofdebriCaution when listening…They give spoilers on non-spoiler labeled shows. Stupid.
-
lovetohearmyselflistenDig the content, host has offputting laughDig the weekly content & the general chemistry of the hosts. I feel so odd pointing this out but the female host does a very odd weak chuckle / almost laugh thing most of the time when she laughs and it interrupts the flow. Honestly if she laughed normally it’d be a non-issue
-
YupOkayThe Best.Hands-down the best A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon podcast. There is no one even close.
-
cape cod joshHow you say… Lys?Love you guys and this show. Can’t wait for the next couple of years for the fandom.
-
Zwc1312AddictedThank you for your deep intellectual insight to these books. Love you guys
-
T dot.One of the very best podcasts in the fandomI have been quietly watching and listening to History of Westeros for years now and they are undoubtedly one of the best in the ASOIAF fandom.
-
Aubrie 😍The best of the bestAziz & Ashaya are the smartest people in the room. Their vast knowledge and in-depth explanation help those of us that are less fortunate to fully understand the world that is ASOIAF. I also enjoy the always entertaining Shawn. Overall this is the best of the best when it comes to all things related to Game of thrones. Great job guys!
-
Three Crazy DogsWhat's not to love?I love this podcast! Aziz and Ashaya are great and so are all of their guests. They have such broad knowledge about ASOIAF. I've read the series three times, and I'm always amazed at how much background they're able to pull out that I missed. Thank you, thank you thank you!
-
OniPondRabbit holeYou guys provide me with hours of the deep inside the rabbit hole whilst I work! I sell beer so I’m always driving around and by myself so I love it! I love your guys vibe and engagement with your fans! Thank you:)

dcoy103Check out their library !History of Westeros is going to enhance your experience with the A Song of Ice and Fire series whether you’re new to it or have been rereading for years. They have a catalogue that goes back a decade and those older eps definitely still hold up. Pick an asoiaf-y topic and you’re sure to find some relatable content in their library. All love for History of Westeros -Egg6

The Grey ButlerGreat Podcast!A very enjoyable podcast! It’s obvious that they care greatly about the source material they comment on. With the next book in the series coming out soon (hopefully), this podcast will be essential in unlocking all the little tasty tidbits you might have otherwise missed.
-
Dizzy goblinsMy favorite ASOIF podcast!Informative, funny and insightful! Loved Valar Rereadus as well as all the stand alone episodes. Adds even more depth and detail to this enormous and beloved series!! Keep up the good work!

Sweet MelisiaMy favorites!Such great detail on ASOIAF! I love the puns, guest, maps, music, jokes, and the overall community vibe on HOW.
-
lmnip25Funny and In-depthGives great background on different features of the world of Ice and Fire. Previous wars, different continents, and house lore are topics covered by the podcasters.
-
hotterpotterAwesome!I’ve been a long time listener and I was referred to HoW by a friend. They were my first ASOIAF podcast and still one of the best ASOIAF podcasts out there. Aziz and Ashaya know the materials and the history of Westeros like no other and their analysis is always backed by tons of text. Very convincing arguments about symbolism as well as events that might possibly happen in the future. They make me excited for material that was literally released 10 years ago. Super appreciative of their frank, empathetic, and unbiased treatment of the characters and I, for one, love the puns. Every single one is groan worthy, as they should be. Thanks guys!!! 💙💙 much love from CA.
