PW from GRWhy?If Virginia’s family is not interested in solving the case and most of her peers are older and becoming unhelpful, why continue to focus on the case?

Pools of BethesdaLove this pod!I’ve listened on and off for years. While the podcast occasionally features crackpot authors (mostly Jack-the-Ripper related), more often than not the interviews are direct and informative. I just listened to a fantastic episode on the Manhattan Well Mystery, and it made me finally get around to writing a review for this show, which I should have done LONG ago. Keep up the great work, Erik!

omar1otLove itVery high quality interviews from a laid-back host who has a great rapport with the authors he interviews. It is one of my top-2 historical true crime shows!

PolkSaladAnnie1980Five StarsA very unique format because of the simplicity! Thank you for not be ing in a hurry through the interview and offering a great discussion without talking over each other, no unneeded banter, and a clean podcast. Eric’s voice is calm and just what the world is in need of right now! Fiver stars!

KateJessieExcellentListening to authors discuss their process, the research, the interviews they engage in with Eric is wonderful. Eric is a professional and he asks the right questions and also gives the authors all the time they need without interruptions. Many favorites among these though Kate Winkler Dawson is my all time favorite. Vanessa Brown’s interview was also top quality.

SynnikkMy relatives!I absolutely love the podcasts about my family! My father wrote a book and was also on the EVIL KIN on the ID network- speaking about the Harpe Brothers and how they are kin. I’d love to join your podcast and speak on my distant relatives and share what I know about the brother from the research my father put his entire life into!!!

scranwichA Must Listen - for everyone!I’m a history buff. I’m interested in true crime as it relates to history. This podcast is the best history AND crime podcast. Eric’s voice and tone and knowledge is fantastic. He brings great guests with a really innovative point of view. Just great stuff. Can’t recommend enough.

NC Farmer AnnBinging your podcast on YouTubeI just recently found your podcast and have been binging old episodes . I find your format irresistible. Having the authors tell their stories, with your prompts, is so unique. I have a couple of suggestions for you, if you are interested. One is the story of the Tuskegee Experiment as told by James Jones in his book Bad Blood. The other is the story of HeLa cells in the book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. I think both of these incidents can be catagorized as notorious.

BobbyDonGiffGreat piece of history: Death of an Oilman ep. 67Stumbled across your podcast and found myself listening to one of your older podcasts from 2017 (Ep. 67 - Death of an Oilman). A fascinating story that has all been lost in history and overshadowed by time.

NappyDresserGuilty Pleasure! Thanks so much for all the great book interviews!

NAStwinsVery interestingPlease make more episodes!

Joie333888444Less talkingMy favorite show was about Squizzy only because for once there was an interesting story told without annoying interruptions asking redundant questions by “the host” i.e. you can tell he is only prompting the guest to say what he would’ve say anyway without being interrupted. Why not just let the people tell their story without pretending you’ve just come up with these questions? Listeners are not concerned about listing to personal opinions. People are interested in hearing about a story not about a host. I’d give a five star for the show if we could get rid of “the host”.

PerfectisafaultSoSoSome very interesting content. The podcast is more book review/collaborations than anything else. The audio quality and volume levels are all over the universal map.
-
LyrywyAmazing!I love the podcast. I like hearing the authors talk about their motivations for writing the books. The subject matter is consistently interesting!
-
Ldca2010FascinatingThis subject matter is always interesting and the author interviews are great. My only complaint is that the podcast is too addicting!
-

Dmcg1522Quickly became my favorite podcast!Erik is awesome! He is an incredibly skilled interviewer. His technique is subtle and he, refreshingly, lets his guests do most of the talking but he is brilliant at keeping the interviews on pace to cover all of the most important aspects of the subject/book being discussed in a relatively bite-sized timeframe. This is a highly entertaining and easy to listen to podcast!

TRSD221One of my favoritesThis is such a fascinating podcast. I never miss an episode!

-
RockinRick8185Excellent PodcastUnlike so many podcasters Erik doesn’t try to make himself the subject and he doesn’t waste 10 minutes discussing what’s he’s done since the last podcast. A pleasure to listen to and always informative.
-
jenlin94Chock full of history and authors!I am thrilled with this informative and fun podcast - lots of these stories I’ve heard before but not with all the interesting info from the authors. Podcast host Eric does a great job interviewing and pulling info from authors! This is a podcast I keep in my “library” and eagerly look forward to next story.

KrissypattWas a HUGE fan until I heard one interview that got politicalI have been working my way through nearly every episode. Have been a huge fan! Was listening to the episode about the Fort Worth preacher in the 1920’s and the guest got political. I know you cannot control what your guests say but his comments could have been cut out. I enjoy listening to your podcasts because it is an escape from our nations political divide and that was just taken from me after this episode!
-
Livvvvvyyy16Literally my FAVORITE true crime podcast!I love listening to historical true crimes, especially ones that have been more forgotten to time. This podcast is perfect for me! The guests you can tell are extremely passionate about the historical crimes they write about. And the host does an incredible job with all of the interviews and he is also incredible passionate about these topics.

MattB1967One of the Best True Crime Podcasts!I have listened to a lot of different true crime podcasts available and this is one of the best I have found. Many true crime podcast hosts spend a lot of time chitchatting over things irrelevant to the topic of the podcast episode topic. Some of these podcast hosts seem to think they are comedians- which they are not. Many also seem to be just using the Wikipedia page on the subject as a script. THIS podcast is different. The host sticks to the topic. There is no irrelevant off topic chitchat. Plus the host is able to get experts and authors on the topic, which allows the podcast to go in depth on the subject being discussed. My direct comment to the host: Keep up the good work!
-
tjhollybellLove this Podcast❤️I was really excited to see the episode about Kit Marlow with MJ Trow. I loved his books about Marlow. I have been listening for quite a few years to Most Notorious . Eric is a great host and really gets a lot of details out of his guests. I have definitely broadened my reading list because of this show.
-
turbojen2One of my favoritesI really enjoy the exploration of old timey crimes. Having authors discuss the case is a very unique way to present the info. They are the experts after all! And it is obvious that the host has read the books and is knowledgeable about the case so he can ask appropriate questions Keep ‘‘em coming.
-
BrittRKMy Favorite Podcast!Erik is a fantastic host and interviewer. The topics are interesting and I always look forward to new episodes!
-
Aich BStellar guestsThese guests are fantastic. All engaging experts on a variety of historical crime/corruption stories. Format took a bit to get used to but I appreciate how the host gently tees up the guest to share a myriad of information. One of my favorite listens.
-
theatrepookyMy Favorite PodcastI’ve been listening to Most Notorious for years. It keeps getting better and better!

littlemisshorrornerdLOVE! LOVE! LOVE!I recently started listening to Wicked Words that has a similar format to this podcast. After I’d gotten through most of those episodes I went looking for another show that was just like it and found Most Notorious. This show is outstanding. 0 complaints or criticism. Love that every episode is a new case, that it is an author interview and that these are very old cases most of which I’ve never heard of. Also I always learn new things about the time period and the people who lived in it. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
-
DysunReally really good.I initially didn’t like this podcast, but I really love it now. It’s really listening to a new author or guest every week that actually has enthusiasm and expertise with the case presented. The host asks concise, straightforward forward questions that move the narrative along. Keep up the good work.

AxebassninjaA Thinking Person’s True-Crime Podcast. Most Notorious is the thinking person’s true crime podcast. I love that in each episode, Eric interviews the author of a true-crime book with thoughtful questions. If a taste of the story is all you want, your journey stops at the end of each episode. But if you want more about the story, no problem. You can read the book! Often, I’m compelled to read the book as well. My True-Crime To Read pile has grown since finding vthis podcast—Thank You!
-
PhiazelNice InterviewsThe host is wonderful at asking questions and getting out of the way of his guests. Rare, I think, when so many hosts want to make the podcast all about themselves and their opinions. Liking this podcast very much, as I think anyone interested in history would.
-
PimplashAces showYes.

J Boo 234Finally an adult level true crime podcast!!I enjoy how Eric draws out his guests through questions and let’s them tell the story. Good, insightful commentary on the crimes and the times in which they were committed. I have not heard of many of the titles discussed and will request them from the library after the podcast. Simple format which works!! For those who want to graduate past the 7th grade Dateline-like TC podcasts — give Most Notorious a try!!
