34532647Great Hits and Small MissesLove the recent interviews by Ash, but what the heck was that George Galloway episode? This con man doesn’t deserve a platform. Edit: Coming back after a few weeks, giving another star. Consistently these podcasts are well done. China was talked about recently with the caution that life is terrible for most (many?) people, and leftists in the west have no idea. Election in India with Modi came up too. I really appreciate that they talked about how loved and revered Modi is, even among the guest speaker’s family. That’s accurate. Keep at it, and thanks.

KthanzThe Left Side: UK and beyondNovara entered my consciousness while grieving the death of the late David Graeber (Novara hosted Graeber as a guest). Since then, I’ve continued following Novara’s excellent reporting. In this time of crisis RE: political representation, “objectivity” most frequently functions to smokescreen “centrist” technocratic manipulations. For folks on the abysmally represented Left–in the UK and beyond–Novara Media is an oasis of reporting, opinion, and analysis lacking the hostilities of folks who insist “both sides” must be given equal airtime, even when one side is totalitarian, fascist, and global. Hosts Ash Sarkar and Aaron Bastani are personal favorites; sharp, critical, intelligent and engaging. I’m so grateful for their thoughtful stewardship of political, intellectual, cultural and aesthetic values. Solidarity forever. Long live Novara Media.

Feargus OConnorWorthwhile and smartWorthwhile for US listeners. Ash Sarkar is amazing.

Marco Polo MintSo worth a proper listen!I don’t have the time to listen to many podcasts regularly, but I cherry-pick and there have been a few from this cast that I listened to and thoroughly enjoyed. These are learned discussions with intelligent questions asked, and the one on automation and the future of work is something I was deeply interested in academically and found so enriching to listen to. The questions and answers depart from the usual book promotions or pat answers to think more seriously about the politics and social implications. I’ll be returning to this network to find more, taking socialist thinking seriously.

Edward Dudley DSocialism in the UKThis podcast covers socialistic ideas, UK politics, and the Labor Party. As an American, I benefit from listening to ideas like abundance, government run railroads, and how socialists can control a mainstream party.
-
Emma StillwaterLove it!Great reporting on British politics from a left perspective.
-
MaxStallsworthIndispensable resourceI listen to/watch Novara regularly and they are a crucial voice in British politics, especially for an American leftist who wants to learn more about what’s going on in the UK.

NervousFishdown IIThe real dealWe need a show this good in the US. A ‘war of position’ oriented TYT.

MikeRT10My go-to for current events and theoretical musings from the leftLiving in the States, I have yet to find a more compelling and incisive round-up of current events and the issues of the day from a left-perspective. I highly recommend this show for anyone trying to make sense of the world today, not just those that happen to live in Britain.
