    A Buddy
I’ve been listening for years. I’m approaching 40 years old and I listen to all the shows every week. I’ve always followed nascar but the last 5/6 years I’ve gotten into even more. I was a Mark Martin guy until Dale got to cup and then I pulled for him. I talk about the show all the time to my wife and she’ll always say…you talk about Dale like he’s your buddy. I’m like, well that’s how the guy is. He’s a guy who can be buddies with anyone I think. I appreciate Dale being that kind of dude. Maybe you could help me out in convincing my wife to let me buy a legends or mini stock car and go racing lol. Thanks for everything you guys do! I’m confident your podcasts are largely responsible for my love for nascar growing. Good luck at Bristol!

    Tim Brewer
I remember Tim at Juniors, he was crew chief for Bill Elliott. Sterling was there too with Mike Beam as crew chief Maxwell house was his sponsor. Visiting the race shop, It was June of 1992. Junior let me take a picture of my car with the Maxwell house hauler. I freaking love that picture. Thank you for an excellent podcast. I can’t wait to listen every week.

    This segment makes no sense
Last I checked Dirty Mo Dough is its own show. So why on earth are we having a Dirty Mo Dough segment every week on the Download? I don’t care about gambling.

    Zak Brown episode
I have listened to DJD for a many many years. The changes this year to the show have been good though took some adjustment at first. But I have to say, as a Nascar, IMSA, F1, and Indy Car fan, and a fan of Zak Browns drivers in F1 and team McLaren, this was a great interview and learning something about people not normally heard from. I love hearing the history of Nascar but hearing Dale reach out to someone not in Nascar is always done well and very interesting. Great show and keep up all the extremely well work everyone!

    Captivating
I’ve been listening to the DJD for years. My favorites over the years have always been the ones with the older fellas. Having spent a few summers with my grandfather in Kentucky in my younger days, hearing their older, gravely, southern accents takes me back to those days. Story after story I could listen to these pods everyday. Jr is, was, and will always be on my list of most influential athletes of my generation. He’s now ascended post driving career, to a content producing pillar of the NASCAR community.

I'm so glad I gave up on NASCAR when it was still the chase. The loss of "everything else is just a game" was when they lost anything resembling respectable.

    I Love Listening!
Dale Jr. does such a great job interviewing people who this casual NASCAR fan might never have heard about. It makes me want to go watch old NASCAR videos to re-live these great moments talked about in the podcast. A great listen for anyone.

    Excellent
I love this pod, especially the interviews with the people who helped build the sport to what it is today. Ep 558 - Gary Nelson pt 2 is both fascinating and heartbreaking, and if you’re just going to listen to only 1 episode of this pod, make it that one. Jr, you’re doing important historical work here. Thank you and keep up the good work!

    Keep Mike Davis at home
I loved the show already but this season has been my favorite. It’s so much more enjoyable without Mike interrupting the flow of the conversations. Keep doing what you are doing.

    Must Listen to Podcast
My weeks are made by listening to Dale and his guests discuss the history and future of the sport I love. Dale is so knowledgeable of the sport and you can tell he deeply cares. From guest hosts to Amy or Kelley joining in, this podcast is inviting to everyone because of all of the perspectives of everyone in studio. Please continue to openly share your thoughts, opinions and ideas, especially Amy- who tells the best Dale stories!

Amy is as much of a national treasure as Dale Jr. Awesome!!!

    Amazing show
Thank you for the amazing podcast! My grandpa love nascar, him and is friends would always go to races all over the us. He recently passed in march and I remember spending summer Sunday sitting in the living room. No one could change the channel, even if he was sleeping he would wake up and tell you put the race back on. It’s amazing to hear your show and from all the drivers and team members that he used to talk about all the time. I have always loved anything with 4 wheels and a motor but makes me understand so much more as to why he loved racing. I can’t wait for the championship race in phoenix this year!

I love the show. I want Mike Davis back on the show!

    Roger Terry
Dale Jr. & Team, I grew up in a NASCAR family. My Dad (Lee Terry) was a Holman Moody Engine Builder & Crew member. I listen to all your episodes and I’m thankful to hear from all your guests but especially the guests from the early days when my Dad was involved. Waddell Wilson mentioned my Dad when he was recently on your show. I was so Proud and excited to hear him mentioned! The stories told and history shared makes me laugh and yes, sometimes cry as so many memories come back to my mind. Thank You so Very Much for what you are doing to preserve the history and mold the future of the sport! To echo many of your guests, your Dad would be So Proud of You Dale Jr.! Roger Terry

    TRULY A NEVER MISS PODCAST.
I have been a huge Earnhardt fan since 79’. My father worked for GM and was a great friend of the late Randy Dorton. So I have been a huge follower of the sport of stock car racing for almost my entire life. When Dale Jr started this podcast I was immediately hooked. Not because of the name which I was a fan of but the content. Each guest that is on the show the bar raises. I laughed uncontrollably at the Tony Stewart interview, I had leaky eyes and a lump in my throat listening to the words from Steve Park, to the feel good stories from The Eury’s. I applaud the chemistry Dale has with each guest. This is one of, if not, the best weekly podcast that I support. Keep up the work guys and thank you for bringing Winston Kelley’s story. I love the old NASCAR history. -Don Mosley

    Show needs better
Show cuts off in mid sentence at the end . Love the show but whoever is editing needs to do better. Definitely miss Mike Davis he challenged Dale Jr ,The two kids on there with Jr seem timid. Mike was perfect for the show . JR needs someone to debate him not agree and if they do debate not just fold up in two seconds like the two kids on the show . Jr needs an equal like Mike Davis.

    This show is amazing
As a newer fan to Nascar since seeing Dale race at Martinsville a few year ago I have learned so much through this show. Dales love for the history of the sport and comedic chops make my works days that much better. He will have guests on who I have never heard of and normally would skip but find out they are amazing people with amazing stories. Keep up the great work Dale and Crew, you too Andrew

New Pod Format vs. Old Pod Format
I want to start by saying I absolutely love the pod. I think I’ve listened to every single one since I discovered it in 2018. That being said, I can’t stand the 2 episode format vs the old 1 episode format. I think I’ve given sufficient time to decide one way or the other which version fits best for me. I travel and I still cannot get through 2, 2 hour episodes. The first episode of the week, I honestly feel like it’s a lot of rambling. I like that you recap the race and talk to the winning driver but I feel that, plus the ask Jr segment could be thrown in with the interview like the old way and still work. Work better even. 4 hours is too much time. The old pods could be that long but most were 2 1/2 hours and that was perfect. I could be in the minority here and that’s fine. I’m still giving 5 stars because I love the interviews so much and I love the way you go to bat for the sport. Thank you.

    Gary Nelson
I liked listening to the Gary Nelson interview so much. I listened to both parts twice. Excellent love hearing some of the old guys talk about you know just brings me back to the good days.

    TOP SHELF!!!!!!!
When I say “TOP SHELF” I mean the single shelf at the very top! This podcast is a needed media to keep the history of NASCAR fresh in the minds of longtime fans or new fans just starting to taste it, but that’s not all! It’s needed to see the wide range of effect or ties NASCAR and the Drivers have in other entities that you would have never thought existed. Thank You Dale Jr, Mike Davis and the whole team(past and present) for the work that is put into this.

    Needs help
Need someone like TJ on there all the time. Gives the show some back and forth. The other 2 clowns add nothing to the show

    Thank you Dale Jr!
Thank you for all the great content, don’t ever stop racing. I am 33 and yet to be able financially to get in a race car but one day I am going to get in one and I probably won’t ever get out. I respect the heck out of everything you do for our great sport on all levels. Come run some more races at tri county!

Love the download, not so much the spin offs
I love tuning in, but I’m not a fan of sneaking in episodes of reloaded or speed street. I get they probably aren’t as popular. But it’s a let down to think you’re tuning into to hear Jr and that’s not the case.
  • stknight15
I am begging Jr to get iracing to scan a dying track
First off, love the show. The wide variety of guests and the way Dale sounds like he’s just chopping it up with an old friend is always fun to hear! I have to ask publicly if Dale could convince the iRacing guys to preserve Memphis Raceway. Such a unique track is about to disappear forever and I know how much he loves to preserve racing history through iRacing. Cheers and thanks for the many years of content!

    Bass noise
I love the show have listened to every show since Dale has been hosting. It was never an Earnhardt fan during either career, big or little E. But Dale Jr love of the history of the sport, really opened my eyes. Since Dale has been recording from his remote studio there is a bass noise noticeable more so in my vehicle than AirPod.

    Dale Jr.
Dale Jr. has always been my favorite driver since he was in the Oreo Cookie car and winning the championship. We shared October 10th together. Love listening to your podcast from Tennessee.

Katelyn Larson and Kelley Miller saved my marriage!
I’ve grew up obsessed with NASCAR, my wife however was not a fan. Couldn’t stand to listen to it or watch it unless Kyle Larson won in which she only cared to see Katelyn shotgun a beer! I bought us tickets to Atlanta this spring with track passes. From the fan zone, on track concert, driver introductions, and race she had a blast. We later spent two days in Charolette for fan day going to HMS, RCR, DEI, and Jr Motorsports where she got to meet Kelley and get a pic with our daughter. Forever thankful for Kelley taking the time to do that as now we watch the download every day it drops and if there’s a race on, we’re tuned in!

    Loved the show!
I have always loved this show, but the Mark Martin episode hit different. Mark was my Dad and I’s favorite driver growing up. His knowledge about his car and set up was incredible. And an excellent job with the questions from Jr as always. Keep it up!

Not fans, going then a BIG FAN
I’ve taken many people to NASCAR races that had never watched a race. I’d say 95% of them have followed NASCAR ever since their live experience. There is nothing like being there in person. The rumble, smell of tires & gas and the noise is one like no other.

    Episode 550 ask Junior
I was struck by the question about Dale’s ride at Michigan that broke the losing streak because I went to the Unser Racing Museum the last day it was located here in Albuquerque. As I was going through the long list of Unser vehicles of display I came across 2 of Dale’s rides; first was one of the #8 Bud cars and the other was the 2012 Michigan ride

    Mark Martin
I was so pumped about Mark Martin being the guest this week, but when it was over I was bummed. No one born after the 1980s will know what any of this stuff is about. It was interesting, but I think I speak for us all when the Mark Martin we want to hear, is after he left Roush. I love you Dale and as your biggest fan, I’ll still be honest with you! I sure would have loved to have a part 2 when you got back from vacation, but waiting 2 years feels like torture.

    Mike Davis
People do not understand how much time and effort Mike Davis puts into this company. Without Mike, Jr is just another grumpy team owner avoiding the spotlight and giving the occasional sound bite at the track. Mike gave him a voice. A voice people listen to and trust. An opinion that resonates with the fans as well as nascar brass. Jr keeps the old fans around and educates the new fans. He makes things happen because of his stature. This does not happen without Mike creating DirtyMo Media and the continued innovations. He is the unknowingly savior of nascar. Thank you Mike Davis.
  • RLRUF86
    Love the new show!
Way better without Mike, good guy, just not good on the show.
  • The15car
    Better without the frat guy
Show is much better since they got rid of the frat guy. Dale is a very good interviewer. Rarely lets a point pass without getting the full detail. “So I was running a late model…” “What kind of car was it? What did it look like? What was the valve lash?”

    Marlin Yoder and Casey Atwood
Dale’s interviews are always excellent. The last two weeks with Marlin and Casey were really compelling. I feel like both were able to discuss things they would not have been comfortable talking about with just anyone. Being an introvert myself, I can really relate to Casey.

    DJD Reloaded
    1. DJD Reloaded needs to be its own channel/podcast. 2. DJD Reloaded needs to be on YT like it was as of a few weeks ago. I watch as much as I can on YT, DJD Reloaded is the only one that I follow that’s not… And to have to comb through the shows I’ve watched vs the ones that aren’t on YT is annoying.

    Bring back Mike Davis
I know he has stepped away to take a more active role in the company but he needs to at least be on the weekend reaction show. The dynamic on Dale and Mike commenting on the race weekend is what kept me entertained. Dull and bored as of late.

Wow. I have loved just about all your episodes but this one is in your top 5. Fascinating story! You did an awesome job talking with him and getting him to open up. Keep up the good work!

Loved the Marlin Yoder podcast one of your best ones. So interesting to hear how he got out of the Amish community. He’s a very talented man, and will go far.

Wow! Thank you for having this chat with Marlin. Such an interesting story about an inspiring, courageous and hard-working young man. I am excited to hear about the rest of his journey and see what he will accomplish.

    The Perry’s
Man, I had tears rolling down my cheeks listening to that interview with Richard and Kyle. Brought back so many memories. I was born in Daytona in 1964 and I’ve lived here my whole life, and Richard Petty really was the king. Thank you for that.

    Missing the old ways
Meh. I liked it better before. The new format isn’t for me. Now I only listen when JR is in his chair. Hopefully it’ll grow on me.

    Tom Dooley
Hang Down Your Head, Tom Dooley is old folk song. (1958). Your older fans, like me, used to hear this as a youngster. Js. Love you though. I MISS MIKE DAVIS! Please let him sit in on a show soon! Thank you!

    A Beer and a Chase-r!
If you didn’t like Chase Elliott before his interview on DJD (and who didn’t), you will now. This was by no means dynamic or riveting, but it was more akin to two guys at the bar sharing stories. That’s what made it so powerful. Dale has a way of just talking with people and not interviewing them. He makes his guests feel comfortable even when talking about uncomfortable things. Chase is very hard on himself, but Dale was able to bring out the hope and joy that Chase rarely shows to the media. This show is such a welcomed distraction from taking care of my mother with dementia. I am so blessed to be able to listen every week. Thank you Dirty Mo Media for all you do that you don’t even realize.

    Thursday shows aren't good
I understand that you're experimenting with your Thursday production (based upon the rotating hosts/guests). But the Thursday shows are a significant downgrade from last year.
  • dlatk64
Love the show and have a request
I’ve been listening to the DJD for years and it is always interesting. I love the interviews because y’all have a way of getting people to talk. Now the request…can you use that magical talent of pulling info (and truth) out of people and bring in someone from Goodyear to discuss tires? Seems like a good time to do that given the Bristol race tonight. I’m not sure I think this was all on Goodyear, but would like their perspective on the race as well as hearing about the process of designing and testing compounds/tires for different tracks at different times of year.
