Cant believe Empire is actually ending but I enjoy hearing the hosts break down the episode and point things out that I didnt notice while watching the show. So many characters are predicted to die so I love hearing everyones input. Hopefully Jussie returns for the finale!

Empire is one of the best shows ever made, no doubt. Getting additional commentary from one of the best AfterBuzz panels is great and they really know their stuff. Great podcast, highly recommended for all fans of Empire, and even if you aren’t the biggest fan it’s still great

Sorry, but I give this podcast a 2. I know you girls are young but all you need to do is google Joss Stone and you will see that the actress is a Grammy award winning singer. Listen to her albums and will see that she is a fantastic singer.

I am enjoying the new ladies on the podcast. But I've always wondered why Bam is the host. He is the least articulate and It takes him a million words to summarize the plot. It's time to let someone else lead the discussion. But there is less tension with the new ladies so listening to him is a little less painful.

I look forward to hearing the fab 4 every week and I love all their commentary always in point

I like Empire and I was so happy to find an AfterBuzz podcast, and then Ms. Stanley showed up. I’m out. I stopped listening to the Scandal podcast because of this obnoxious person. I’m unsubscribing.

I love this panel but I HATE how much Sophia says "LITERALLY" in every sentence. It drives me up a wall and I tend to zone out when she speaks because whenever she says LITERALLY, it's not a legitimate reason to use the word! Like why keep saying "literally" when it's not literal? It probably wouldn't bother me so much if someone else said it but since Sophia comes off like such a know it all I feel like this is something she should work on. But I love the energy of the other 3 and love their conversations and comments! Please keep it up :)

I really want to enjoy this podcast, and never thought I'd say a podcaster talks too much, but my god, Sophia, can you calm down? I really enjoy the other podcasters but I feel Sophia is trying to school everyone rather than simply share views in a roundtable format. Sophia, we hear you. You can stop drowning everyone else out now.

the panel is amazing. love sophia's commentary is amazing. please make kanelia a permantnt host. and bamm and emile are just amazing. an amazing show diserves an amazing panel and that's what this panel is. hope it stays like this for season 2

I'm very late to the Empire train, but I love you all. This is probably one of the best panels that Afterbuzz has right now. I love how you all are so passionate about the show, and I love the intensity for the most part (sometimes I need to turn the volume down because of Sophia, lol) and keen observations. Look forward to you all coming back for Season 2.

Wonderful podcast for an awesome show! Great guests. The panel does a great job but I fell Sophia dominates and talks way too much. Even to the point of interrupting guests.

I love this show! I enjoy all the commentary and insight the hosts offer their fans. All the guests hosts from the show blow my mind. Sofia Stanley: I appreciate her insight, but she needs to know it is not the Sofia Stanley show. Please take it down a notch and give the other hosts a chance to give their opinion and insight. If it weren't for Sofia squawking in my ear, this would have received 5 star review. I too am a passionate woman of color and can appreciate her passion and intelligence. I am not threatened be her as other reviewers tried to state. It is more of a MANNERS issue. Play nicely with others Sofia. TONE IT THE EFF DOWN GIRL! Keep up the good work you guys!

I love love love this show! And looked forward to the afterbuzz podcast...however I. Just. Can. Not. With. Sophia...please let someone else speak/voice their opinions. Just because you say "jump in if you want to" does not give you a pass to then over talk any idea they try to put forth. And please tone it down...this is a TV show not real life some things can be taken at face value and not everything is so deep - girl please breathe...I try to tolerate but you have done me in...will continue with the show - but will have to pass on this podcast. P.S. The other host are GREAT and I will miss hearing your opinions! Be well...

I love the podcast. "Empire" has become one of my favorite shows to watch. I like that the panel dissects (almost) every scene. It really makes you look at the episode again and see the things you may not have seen. The panel is so awesome. They each bring something different to the table. Now, with Sofia, I see where people are coming from with her being a bit much but that's what I like about her. She is passionate and her points are usually always valid. She could pull back a little but she's is AWESOME. Keep up the good work guys!

I am really enjoying Empire and having the podcast to listen to after the show only makes me enjoy it more. I love the chemistry between the podcasters. I have really like Sofia, Bamm and Emil on the Scandal podcast and that is what made me want to listen to the Empire podcasts. The only caveat is that Sofia really takes over in the Empire podcast- she tells people that she is going to cut and off and why but then she does not allow others to cut her off. If Sofia is going to cut off people then she has to allow the same treatment for herself. I think that the other woman on the podcast only got 1 or 2 words in edgewise and that is a pity because she has some interesting things to say. Plus Sofia's voice is so much louder than the other voices that the volume levels are "off" and I want to turn it down when she speaks and turn it up when others speak. That is very annoying and I wish that the producer of the podcast would balance the volume levels better. I often like what Sofia has to say but I could "hear" her better if she would say it with more reason and more respect for her fellow podcasters.

I would add one thing: In the flashback when Andre was a child he was a just as musically gifted as his father, they were singing spontaneously back and forth. I believe the show is also making a commentary on the over medication of Black boys. Here was a young boy whose mother was LITERALLY taken from him. I am sure he acted out and the school’s solution was medication. I argue that the prolonged medication suppressed his musical genius. However musical genius and mathematical genius can be two side of the same coin. So I am not surprised that he went on the business school and is now the CFO. This show LITERALLY has so many layers.

So I do like the show but I hate to agree with some of the other reviews.. The young lady who is yelling and talking over the other panelists is A LOT. I appreciate her insight but she is yelling into the mic. I don't think she should leave the podcast, but just turn down the volume.. Also, the audio in general is a bit crazy. I can hear a humming noise the whole time. Maybe it's the studio you record in? Because other after buzz podcasts don't seem to have that issue.

I think this panel does an amazing job dissecting the content and characters on this show. I'm baffled by the negativity directed towards Sophia but then I step back and realize, most are simply intimidated by the intellect of someone as bright as her. It would be easier for some viewers to embrace her if she was a man or better yet, a white man. Keep up the good work Sophia and don't allow insecure viewers to muzzle you. I might not always agree with the analysis of each host but I can appreciate the time and dedication each of them put into each show. This concept of a fan based after show is beyond brilliant. This after show is what initially sparked my interest to even watch Empire. I am a passionate Scandal fan and from listening to the weekly Scandal after show and watching on YouTube I came across the after show for Empire, watched the first two podcasts for it on YouTube, then went back and watched the actual show on Fox. these after shows are actually increasing the television intellect of many like myself because I use to watch a tv show simply for entertainment sake. Now I can watch a show while still noticing and truly appreciating the editing, character development, underlying themes of shows, direction, etc...again bravo to this panel and the excellent host Bamm for putting forth great discussions each week....

I LOVE Afterbuzz but, a few of the hosts really need to take astep back and stop being so overbearing or just plain out of touch. On this one (and SCANDAL), Sophia....eek. Passionate yes, rude to fellow hosts, yes. In the meantime everyone else, keep up the good work. Now, why is this weeks episode not done yet? Better yet, why don't you have someone on the panel from the Chicago area.....this is where the MAGIC of EMPIRE is happening. We have plenty of talent here to Host one or more of these podcasts...just saying

I’m not sure what one of the girl’s name is on this podcast, but she’s the one who always gets riled up and raises her voice like she’s about to fight. It’s really hard to really hear everyone’s point when she get all excited like she does for no real reason. It’s very unnecessary. Everyone else has a good point of view and can do just find without that one girl.

Loving this podcast and I'm sooooo glad the folks from Scandal Afterbuzz are involved because they are the best.

I really like the show but LITERALLY will not be able to listen until Sophia isn't on the recap. Like everyone else but I LITERALLY can't take it

Hard to fast forward 80% of the show each time Sophia opens her mouth and dominates. She's very passionate about each show she hosts. She has insightful comments (and wrong predictions), but she needs to dial back a bit, and keep in mind that there are other panelists on this podcast. I remember another podcast where she had the nerve to tell another panelist "I'm not done talking", and then she never went back to find out what the other person wanted to say. Otherwise, love the podcast and the other panelists and I give them each 5 stars, but Sophia brings the podcast down a star.

I am loving this podcast and the mini Scandal host reunion we got this week. I like how the team elevates what is happening and does not make it a hood show. They are informing the audience that what is really going on is mor Ethan the sum of its parts Bamm is too funny with his inability to pronounce Loo-shush. I agree with sophia, he should just call him Lucifer and be done with it. I mean it's no coincidence that the character is Luscious Lyon, which sounds so close to Lucifer Lying.

I loved this panel so much better than Episode 1. Glad to see my “Scandal” afterbuzz panel on “Empire.” I love my sister girl Sofia Stanley. Bam, Ennis, and Erica you guys are great too. Hopefully you will be back next week and every week as long as this show is on air.
