Arnie and Jakob are great. Arnie especially I felt made great points all the way. Surprisingly Stuart I couldn’t stand for hating on every little thing. I get it isn’t great and there are huge problems but he seemed to want to contradict everything just for the sake of contradicting. What I didn’t like about Arnie in the back to the future episode.

This is my absolute favorite podcast. High recommend if you enjoy in depth movie conversations, with each person usually bringing a different perspective to the discussion. A lot of time and research goes into this, even going so far as to watch multiple cuts of a film, no matter how painfully bad the film may be. Always get well articulated insight involving subtext, themes, etc. in film.

...at a party would be these guys. Intelligent analysis of (often) B-movies, but done with thoughtfulness and genuine appreciation of the glories and gore of this genre. You've won me over with your sharp dissection (no pun intended) of many movies I thought were utterly dismissable. A real pleasure!

When I started listening, Stewart kind of got on my nerves because he came off as an unrepentant movie snob. Now he's my favorite reviewer of the bunch and it's Arnie who gets on my nerves (seriously dude, how much disposable income do you have?). Sorry, I meant to keep this review positive. So here's the good: This is one of the most entertaining movie podcasts out there. The sheer amount of material they cover is outstanding. And they are always knowledgeable and entertaining in the way they present that knowledge. Stewart is the best kind of movie snob -- he's always hilarious in his hate.

I really can't get enough of this podcast. With thier wide range of movie reviews with genres specializing in comedy, action, and more frequently horror episodes, it is quite clear why they have a huge following. I first got hooked on Now Playing when they reviewed one of my favorite movies, 'Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.' Since then, I have followed them and consider myselt a devoted fan. Their episodes are presented with humor, facts, and debates that will leave you feeling amazed with all of the research and commitment that construct each installment. You may not agree with them, and I'm assuming that that is not the intention of arnie, stuart or the rest of the staff. Believe me when I say that these guys are genuine and there is no other podcast out there like this. I have listened to many and none of them compare. I hope someday that they will be able to review the 'Amityville Horror' serries. Thanks guys. Shout out.

Great conversation about varied titles.

I really enjoy listening and would love it if they would do a Quentin Tarantino movie retrospective series. These guys are fun and thought provoking and they appear to be qualified through work experience to review and critique movies. There seems to be at least one error in each review but not a deal breaker. They couldn't understand why the 40 odd suits weren't used until the end of iron man 3 even though In a scene Stark queries his digital assistant on the status of clearing the doors to the dungeon that holds all the suits. But that is just one example of an error but again it's not a deal breaker. Keep up the good job guys.

Never has there been a podcast that is so excellent, I listen to it again, and again, and AGAIN. I'm on my thrid listen through off all of their shows rom the beginning, and while it was a bit of a rocky start,both quality and content picked up with their Star Trek retro and hasn't slowed down since. I happily donate for each donation drive now, even if I have no interest in the movies they are reviewing, because their reviews are entertaining enough that I end up loving the shows anyway. Highly recomended for any and all film fans out there.

oh look, it's donation time. Well, you can skip the first 3 minutes and last 10 as they beg and make you feel as if it's a necessity. I guess smarm and santimony cost money. NOT RECOMMEND. Update: After a LONG hiatus from this podcast, I came back to listen to the Superman and Superman 2 podcasts. Nothing has changed. Overly negative, psuedo-intellectual claptrap littered with poor research (seriously, they think Superman LITERALLY turned the Earth backwards instead of it being a representation of him going back in time) which are only "alleviated" by their constant pitch mongering for premium podcasts so they can keep the show going. Do all of us a favor if you're considering this podcast: DON'T buy premiums and let them go "out of business". If these guys loved film 1/100th as much as they love the sounds of their own voices and their NPR level begging, this MIGHT be an enjoyable podcast.

I have been listening to this podcast for a long time now. I love to watch the movies and then listen to the podcast. These guys are hillarious and informed even if they were too hard on the Back to the Future sequels and they don't do comedy films. The one thing I don't like is that Itunes classifies some episodes as explicit. My Ipod settings is on safe and I don't have the password to change it back, so I can not listen to their Terminator or Die Hard reviews on my Ipod. There are many explicit podcasts out there but come on. These guys hardly swear.

Wonderful movie podcast for anyone who loves movies. The guys have a great rapport and the show is very professionally produced. I love the intros/outros they do for each series which include clips from the movies and the bloopers at the end. My all time favorite movie podcast!

These guys prove once again that they have a knack for looking at a series of movies both from a fan's POV as well as a critical eye. They do so in a manner that is immensely entertaining and informative. It is wonderful hearing and watching Bond on the 50th anniversary and this trio helps bring insight even to a well know set of movies such as this. Well worth the time and after listening will get you diving thru the archives.

Very entertaining podcast with a plethora of insightful commentary. You will see your favorite movies in a whole new light after listening to this podcast. I really liked the "The Karate Kid (1984)" podcast. On face value, the movie can be seen as just another kid's movie, but the NPP guys open your eyes to subtle details that would otherwise go unseen. This, in my opinion, greatly enhances the viewing experiance and makes a bigger impression on the viewer. However, I don't really like Arnie's final recommends, sometimes. But Stuart and I are on about the same wavelength. Also, the donor series are always well worth your time and money, and are a great way to say thank you to the NPP guys.

This is the worst movie review podcast I have ever listen to. It takes 3 people to figure out a plot to ever movie. The 3 of you should listen to the Hollywood Saloon's James Bond collection podcast. Stuart should watch a movie a least 4 times before doing the cast since the other 2 people need explain the whole movie to him and constantly correct him. I did listen to another review besides the 2 James Bond. It was the same horrible review. I give the podcast a "PASS".

This is the podcast that I most look forward to listening to each week. I don't always agree with their opinions but they usually point out things that I wouldn't have picked up on otherwise. Super entertaining. I would call it a "brave masterpiece".

Excellent production values, spot on reviews from guys who know their stuff, and so much fun to listen to! Only thing is I came aboard too late to hear some of my favorite movies reviewed in the donation series! Jaws, The Thing, Poltergeist and the rest I would love ( and would donate) to hear all of these. Maybe on a future donation drive, these could be made available to people who missed them initially. Its a shame to not be able to ever hear these podcasts as I loved the Alien series and thought it was well worth the donation! I hope you guys will consider this! We love ya and wanna hear 'em!

I can't get enough of this podcast. I don't care how esoteric or obscure the movie is, they make it a funny and absolutely fascinating discussion. If you enjoy movies, especially serialized series, try this podcast out.

Very interesting and fun podcast about a variety of films both old and new. I have gone back and watched several movies after listened to these podcast because there were things I didn't remember or noticed watching them the first time. Also, I really dig the individual intros to each series.

This podcast is top notch. I started my love affair listening to the scream series and totally ate up (pun intended) the Texas chainsaw massacre series the most. I especially have to give props to the imaginative use of the movie quotes in the intro and outro of each show! "there's like, a guy with a chainsaw". Love it. I have to dock 'em an imaginary half percent for their 3 recommends for x-men: the last stand. Oh jeebuz, what a travesty. Can't wait for the dc retrospective and hearing stewart's man-love for Chris Nolan! Wish I had the cash for the thing!

I love this podcast. It's like listening to the top students in a graduate film studies course dissecting the finer points of both classic and current releases. Even when I disagree with their reviews, I still enjoy hearing the informed reasoning behind their opinions. I strongly recommend this podcast to anyone who loves the cinema, far more than I could ever recommend some of the movies they've forced themselves to sit through. (Somebody owes you guys a nice fruit basket for putting up with Green Lantern and the entire Transformers series. Hopefully the scars will heal over time.)

This is the best podcast around...despite what some may say about voices being bad...that's just bs!!! This is the movie review podcast to have for real movie fans!!! I guess nitpickers should stay away!!!

This podcast is great fun. They have such wildly divergent opinions and often are more fun than the movies themselves. Although they were a bit harsh on Blade 1, I really couldn't disagree with their points. That having been said, I love these movies.

Overall I enjoy the podcast. But I don't love it. Mostly for a couple of reasons. The hosts are a little harsh about plot points and are sometimes completely in the dark about the subjects they're discussing. Or at least two out of three them usually are. One host's voice kinda grates on my nerves. It's a version of a cartoon, whiny voiced side kick. I have to fast forward when he gets excited during discussions sometimes. But the discussions are interesting and enjoyable most of the time.

I just started listening to these 2 weeks ago and have not stopped if anyone don't like there it's cuz they didn't like something u did. I strongly recommend these to anyone who wants a honest review.
