We all know that the cowboys would have won if dak and lamb were on the same page.

Admittedly I have no evidence to support this but after looking through some of the one star reviews, seems like beaten down Eagles fans suffering through one of the biggest collapses humanity has ever witnessed. They have to relieve their stress somewhere.

RJ has better takes than BLG, and has been one of my favorite nfl talking heads. But the disillusionment regarding dom disandro and the continued support for “stats,” an embarrassingly inept nfl opinion, leave me no choice. Good bye mixologists. It was fun, but the whack takes cannot be supported anymore.

Hey Brandon and RJ, long time listener and Eagles fan listening from Scotland. Quick question, though it may be old news by the time you next record….with the news that Zach Ertz has been released and apparently wants to sign with a contender, what are the odds the Eagles try and sign him? Could potentially be a better option at backup TE than Stoll?

RJ: Just to let you know that there is a Chester and West Chester, PA. There is no East Chester as Chester borders the Delaware River. Going east across the river puts you in NJ. Thanks always for the great show. Even though I am an avid Eagles fan, I wish the Boys well. You have a great team!

Great win, let’s hope my birds clean it up by Thursday as we face the Vikings. My fiancée gifted me with Eagles vs. Cowboys tickets at Jerry World (I live in the DFW). RJ simply is unable to admit that the Cowboys are just an ok franchise in the modern NFL, and his inability to come to terms with their mediocrity makes for amusing pods with Brandon where he still believes the Eagles and Cowboys are playing with a similar deck of cards. The Cowboys can win the division, play spoiler, or have an all star roster… in the end they are a 2nd round exit.

Talking over each other in a podcast and getting louder to shout your point doesn’t give us warm and fuzzies. Tyler smith or Landon Dickerson, .8 difference in PFF isnt worth getting your blood pressure up. Stay passionate, but please don’t step on each others point. Literally the only negative thing I have to say about this podcast. Ps. We need more Washington and Giants guests/info. PPS Go Birds

What’s up guys, thought this would be a fun exercise. Would you swap out the rivals thing with your teams (so RJ would swap with eagles, BLG would swap with cowboys) 1. Uniforms 2. Coaching Staffs 3. Rosters(including QB) 4. Stadium 5. QB 6. Owner 7. WR room 8. Attitude/funness of fan base (how they react after loss, how they troll, intensity level etc..) 9. Organizational philosophy/direction 10. All pash rushers

The NFC East Mix Tape is the first podcast I’ll listen to any time an episode is available. I think RJ and BLG are both relatively unbiased in their takes, but do have some obvious biases, which I understand. I do wish you had more varied views with representation from the Commanders and Giants more frequently. Additionally, I think SB Nation should send you both to a Cowboy/Eagles game to do a LIVE, in-person episode. Now a question for both of you: if you could snap your fingers and have anything you wanted to eat for dinner tonight, what would it be? Include appetiser, main course, and desert along with your beverage of choice, if applicable. Cheers and keep up the great work.

One thing about the passwords, I have some accounts where you log in on the computer by scanning a QR code from your phone, (I think discord is one of them) and I wonder if some TV streaming services would/could have that option too (except for logging into the TV obviously) anyway love the show and go Cowboys

NFC East Mixtape is great! Also shoutout to RJ for powering through an episode while sick. One of my favorite folk remedies: boil water with garlic, lemon (skin on), cayenne, and honey. You probably won’t like it, but neither does bacteria. Also some Pennsylvania geography info: the Appalachian mountains run diagonally southwest to northeast through PA. Philly and Harrisburg (home of the esteemed Mr Parsons) are on the east side of the range, while Pittsburgh is on the west side. Mountains aren’t very tall but travel is difficult enough that there is a pretty significant cultural/accent difference

Man RJ is so hard to listen too every other word is “like” and he can’t pronounce the c/k sound

I love all the podcasts that RJ and his staff have put together for Cowboys nation to enjoy!Although very disappointing in another playoff exit, I woke up Jan 23rd to listen to RJ as I knew he would provide the right perspective for me. I am a diehard fan like so many of us and that will never change ;however, RJ over the past 3 years of listening to him, has changed my feelings and perspective surrounding the team and has reminded me to not take it so serious and to not be a pessimistic fan like so many of our fans are…Life goes on and family is #1 at the end of the day!thanks again RJ.I’m already excited to see Dak and the Cowboys attempt to reload and get another chance in 2023-2024.

No doubt one of the best and most entertaining podcasts out there on the NFL division with the most passionate fan base. The hosts are fun and informative but . . . They gotta stop with the “We coined the phrase “NFC Beast” nonsense. That term’s been around since the early 1990s when the division’s coaches were Jimmy Johnson, Joe Gibbs, Bill Parcels and , Buddy Ryan. The reference has appeared in hundreds if not thousands of news paper articles since (ref: search newspapers.com). That aside great podcast and a fun listen

What a coincidence that all these reviews left by eagles fans coming for RJ happened after Dallas put a 40 burger on Philly. BLG had his victory lap when Philadelphia beat the cowboys in October and cowboys fans had to eat that. Nothing wrong with how RJ handled the show last week. Love you both as a duo and really support both of your work. Looking forward to a hopeful 3rd meeting between Cowboys and Eagles

First off I want to say I love the show. I have listened since the beginning. RJ and BLG‘s banter back-and-forth is great. I highly recommended the POD casts. I appreciate typically the candor that is used during the show. However, I do got to share a grievance. RJ when he gets defensive will not let the LG speak. After the Eagles lost the Cowboys I’ve only listen to a few minutes and contemplating turning it off because RJ would over talk BLG instead of having the back-and-forth banter. Again, love the show, but would just like to be able to hear people talk instead of just yelling over each other.

There are many reasons to listen to this show. 1. BLG has the best taste in football teams but nothing else. 2. RJ has the best taste in everything but football teams (Buffalo sauce for nuggets? Really BLG?) 3. They are very fun to listen to. It’s like the rated G version of the toxic hate you see on twitter between Eagles and Dallas fans. 4. Listening to BLG defend his tall heigh of 6’4. Despite my undying hate of the cowboys, RJ will humanize their fans until you open the Twitter app back up. Thank you for the amazing content, fining the mixtape has been one of my favorite podcasts this year. PS. Go birds.

I listen to every episode and will love the cowboys until I die. This should be read on the nfc mixtape because it’s an unbiased opinion that has nothing to do with my diehard love of the cowboys. I ignore all the times my gf complains about RJ’s voice because well I loved the cowboys 30 years before I had to put up with her crap. But how could he not understand national lampoons Christmas story… it’s like someone not understanding how you could love Americas team… you have to be missing a few Brian cells to not love national lampoons Christmas story and you must be missing even more to not love Americas team. I’ll still rate 5 stars because “we dem boys” but seriously RJ should eat 5 cheesecakes an hour until he admits he’s in the wrong here.

Loving the mixtape content; can’t wait for it every week! Every week as the season closes you can hear things getting a bit more chippy between RJ and BLG. Can we get some weekly highlights of the trash talk in the Slack channel? Go Birds! 🦅

5 stars for the mixtape. RJ should’ve been a lawyer with all the hopscotching technicalities and semantics he plays. It’s impressive (genuine). BLG thank you for your calm presence amidst a storm of cowboys homerism and copium. RJ, what was the worst part of making that Micah Parsons vs Nick Bosa tweet? The fact that you had to make a tweet slandering your man or that it seemed many people agreed (11k likes). In all serious appreciate the work everyone does to get these pods out.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. I listen to just about everything RJ puts out, and it’s great to hear an Eagles fan perspective that doesn’t make me want to slap myself with a cheese steak.

I’m writing this under the assumption it’ll be covered on the mix tape. If not I may have to come backs and 1 star bomb y’all, kidding of course. RJ, y’all love to rave how the cowboys set 4th quarter records but would it not make you feel better to be able to rest your talent in the 4th instead of assaulting old men such as matt Ryan? How many games have you been able to rest your non first seed starters this season?

As you can infer from the review title, Blogging the Boys is THE greatest, finest, and leading Dallas Cowboys podcast out there - primarily due to the marvelous and renowned RJ Ochoa. The BTB crew is great overall, but RJ Ochoa is the main reason I listen to this particular podcast (shoutout to RJ’s fellow SB Nation podcast homies Rob “Stats” Guerrera of Niners Nation & Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation). But, back to the star of BTB: RJ Ochoa! As a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan accustomed to mediocrity, disappointment, and frustration from our favorite team, the Cowboys are still my ride or die, and I’m eternally grateful to RJ for providing thoughtful analysis, moments of genuine laughter, and bringing the FUN and COMMUNITY to our love of the Dallas Cowboys, regardless of our record and/or lack of recent NFC Championship/Super Bowl appearances. Although I’ve never met RJ IRL, I find myself thinking of him as a friend because he has a unique way of speaking directly to us listeners as if we were friends discussing not just the good, bad, and everything in between of the Dallas Cowboys, but also regular life things like our families, favorite foods, holidays, etc. It’s wonderful how RJ strikes a great balance between honest, thoughtful football analysis and the jokes, lighthearted banter, and such experiences that I’d share with friends IRL. I truly appreciate the sense of community and camaraderie that RJ has created for us Dallas Cowboys fans across the world - as someone living in CA surrounded by Raiders, Chargers, & Niners fans (no Rams fans though HAHA), sometimes I do feel a little alone because I don’t typically get positive feedback or comments regarding my Cowboys fandom (even my poor German Shepard, who sports a Dallas cowboys bandana and leash, gets hate, even though she doesn’t have a choice in her apparel 😢). However, RJ’s effort to create an inclusive, educational and FUN community around the Dallas Cowboys has been amazing and so, so appreciated.

Please tell BLG that Suh is a direct replacement for Barnett as the “It’s always him” guy.

NFC East Mixtape: After every Sunday, I find myself instantly wondering how RJ and Brandon are going to react on the NFC East mixtape. I have a favor to ask if RJ, can you please Shame your cohost for how long he takes to see/react/read-out-loud 5 star reviews on BGN!! I’m betting my chances are better to get an answer if RJ sees it. So which players should the eagles fans start paying attention to for our top 10 pick pick coming from the Saints?

RJ does a fantastic job on the NFC east. Appreciate how he pretends he isn’t a massive eagles fan. His constant hot takes on twitter about Micah Parsons being held get old though… Go Birds.

Maybe worst than the actual cowboys, this show stinks.

It’s obvious these guys do not watch film and have the same stale outlooks from two or three years ago. Teams and players have changed and you state opinions as fact which comes off as snarky and uninformed.

I don’t remember the specifics but one time RJ said he would give people baked potatoes. This made me laugh and for some reason I think about it a lot. Love the content but I hope Cowboys aren’t the only Texas team to lose this week. Go Birds! Go Dodgers! (I’m from LA leave me alone).

In anticipation of the first mixtape of this regular season I thought about @ing you guys on Twitter to talk about the Micah/Fournette beef or Russell Wilson practicing his high fives like a strange football westworld robot, but I decided I had to write a view when I remembered RJ’s “Eagles lost the AJ Brown trade” takes all summer. (Edit: apparently this was Stats? I’m skeptical.) Get him BLG. (Or get Stats. Someone needs to be dunked on for this) Also very much looking forward to discussion of the Cowboys loss at the end of the pod, being that they’re now in last place. I listen to a lot of Eagles podcasts, and the NFC East Mixtape in particular is my favorite; entertaining and I like getting a well-informed, guaranteed-non-homer take on my team. That said, my moment of zen this week at least (and hopefully for a few more) is going to be hearing RJ forced to talk about the cowboys LAST this week, since they are in sole undisputed position of LAST PLACE in the NFC East

Every Monday morning I have to listen to the guys. it’s apart of my routine at this point. Keep up the good work boys!

I’ve been a BGN Radio listener for many years and have been a fan of many of the shows, and the Mixtape is up there with the best. I couldn’t help but notice some of the coincidences I shared with RJ. I have an 8 month old boy at home which I believe is near the age of RJ’s son, we’re near the same age, and I have “Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner” downloaded on my Spotify because that’s on my favorite album of all time. I finally decided to write this review after this last crazy coincidence. My wife and I have been watching Community as a short show when we don’t have time for an hour long episode, but haven’t watched an episode for a couple months. After the mixtape episode the other day where RJ mentioned season 3 episode 4, I told my wife we had to watch an episode or two. Sure enough, she turns on Netflix and what episode is next for us? Season 3, Episode 4, “Remedial Chaos Theory.” I couldn’t ignore it any longer, and it’s confirming a theory I’ve long held, that RJ is a secret Eagles fan. There simply isn’t any other explanation. Welcome to diseased Eagles fandom. PS - the Mixologist nickname kinda stinks. We’ve gotta work on something else.

(I have since changed my nickname on this app because I had no idea it was Big Pig smh 😅)Now I have once again swung over from Spotify to grace you with a review and a new challenge. First things first, I have you say I noticed BGN has a higher rating (4.8 stars) than BTB (4.5 stars). Not to read into too much, but I think this says something about the coolness factor of the corresponding teams… no surprise the eagles are winning. Secondly, I figured it was only fair to praise RJ’s talent as a podcaster on a review for his own podcast platform. He truly is very entertaining despite his Dallas fandom (seems impossible, yet it has been achieved)! This is in no small part thanks to his Russel Wilson impressive I have no doubt. I listen to all his shows on the SB nation NFL show without fail, but let’s be honest, nothing tops his pairing with BLG for the NFC East mixtape. *Chefs kiss* Now finally, I promised a challenge… 😏 I want to hear RJ talk favorably about the eagles for as long as Brandon can do push-ups consecutively. I started a new job that allows me to listen to my phone at work for the first time and I’ve gotten tired of listening to my music and came across BTB podcasts. Absolute go to and I cannot wait till the season for ENDLESS content. Broncos country, let’s ride.

Love BTB and all the weekly shows but I wanted to give a big shoutout to Sturch, Tony, and Aidan for kicking the week off right every Monday! Must listen for any Cowboys fan.

The NFC East Mixtape is amazing. R.J.s intros are outstanding(that is weird to type did I do that right?) Anyways even in the dead of the off-season these episodes are amazing. If I’m being honest I just came here to say Dallas Geodert>Dalton Schultz have a good one fellas!
